I'm just back from having led a school trip to Salou and Barcelona and we stayed in hotel Eurosalou. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for good value for money, excellent food and location. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Pool facilities are reasonably sized and efficient. The dining room caters for a very large number and the food is splendid, such a great choice of dishes hot and cold at every sitting. The house wine is a little sharp, maybe best to pay a little more! Facilities for young people include a disco at night which is well run and over early. There is also a spa which we did not use. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

We have just got back from Eurosalou and had a lovely time, there was myself, husband and grown up son and daughter. I asked for 2 rooms together overlooking the pool and this is what we had. The rooms were okay with 2 double beds in each and one had a few ants in but no problems. The rooms were cleaned everyday but not to well. The reception staff were nice and helpful and so were the bar staff but some of the waitresses in the resturaunt needed to learn how to smile and clean the tables, but I think it would help if people used there manners. There was always something to eat but breakfast was always cold. There were a lot of Spanish kids there a little noisy but just having a good time, There was one English family who were playing football by the pool one evening and about 20 Spanish kids joined in and all were enjoying themselves. Older people were moaning about the kids but if you want a kid free holiday go to an all adult hotel or try Saga. There was an Irish group of kids came near the end of our hols and they had more adults with them and were okay. The entertainment is a bit basic only a few professional acts and a young chap doing quizzes and bingo but room not big enough to get a seat when shows were on. Older Spanish people come at the weekend and do not queue like us . At the end of our hols we needed an early morning call and the telephone was not working but we got a new one straight away. On the whole we had a good time and would return again.

My young son (9yrs) & I stayed here last August for 2 weeks. The arrival was ok until we got to the room. The tiles were broke just inside the door, so the door wouldnt open. Asked for help at reception & told they were busy. A nice touch though, we had a cold meal prepare for us as we arrived after 11pm. We couldnt get anything to drink, not even water as the bar closed at 11pm!!

My son accidentally spilt water on the quilt cover the next morning, and was only replaced the day we left. As some of the other post, our room over looked the pool area but the air con was on the balcony. It was like sitting on a heater in the heat!! Terrible & definately couldnt use it because the worry of your child burning themselves.

The food was just ok most of the time. Some cooked fresh while you waited. We had an unfortunate incident when my son cut into a pork chop that was still frozen in the middle towards the end of the first week. That & the fact that there were quite a few families ill, put us both off eating.

The seating in the dinning room was diabolicle. I think we made things difficult being a part of 2, but that was known when I booked. We were often put on a larger table, which the waiting staff did not like. On quite a few occassions I received nasty comments. My son would get food on his own & was nervous going in on his own because of this. Disgusting! The paying guest had someone that seated them, us all inclusives were just herded in. I eventually complained about the comments as this was totally uncalled for. I received an apology & a bottle of wine, but it was nice not having to worry about nastiness when we went for a meal.

A nice touch, I felt, was that if we went out for the day we could order a picnic lunch. A sandwich, bottle of water & 2 bits of fruit each. That was ample & I thought quite a nice touch.

The pool area was the biggest dissappointment. It was realllly small. Because of my sons age, he wasnt allowed in the small pool, but equally I didnt feel safe with him in the bigger one espcially with alot of young adults drinking. I ended up following my son because I didnt feel comfortable. The beach was quite a walk away as well. The que for sunbeds starts anywhere from 8am & it really is a case of RUN!! There were people pushing & fighting each other. Some of it I could understand because they had very young kids and wanted to be near the small pool, but when one person reserves a row of 10 beds - something should be done!!!

I found all the staff, including the pool staff very friendly. There is one lass as the pool bar that got alot of flack about being rude both on here and while we were there. If you spoke to her, she wasnt rude it was just her way & she was always helpful to the kids.

Not much of a drinker, but it would have been nice to be able to order a drink (even pop or juice) in the evening after 11pm. The same token if you didnt get anything to drink at breakfast, you wouldnt get anything till after 11am. If you wanted water for your room, it was visiting the bar twice. You could only have 2 drink at a time. So alot of families were going getting 2, going back to the bar until everyone had something. Its not stopping people being excessive, it just seem to annoy everyone especially with the bigger groups.

Big HATE, was plastic cups in the evening!!!! Unless you mad a fuss of course. Yes we were all inclusive, but we should have been treated with respect.

I know we went to Spain, but our hotel was over run with loud Spaniards & they got the 5* treatment. Didnt matter if you were in the que for the dinning hall, they walked right past you & got seated. Same at the bar. They got served first & there drinks (in glasses, even the kids) taken to their table that was pre-booked for them,

First holiday - very dissappointed!!

i will start of with the good points -

1.hotel was nice
2.the staff running the dining room were really nice and so was some of the bar and reception staff.

thats it for the good points

bad points -
1.Food was just the same thing over and over and not that hot either
2.The rooms were really cramped
3.Not everything is covered on the all inclusive
4.Several of the staff had really bad attitudes
5.Alot of spanish school trips and most of them had no manners at all

6.But by far the worst thing was the entertainment the man who was running it was a joke he turned up when ever he felt like and hardly did any of the things on the board and when he did they were so bad i felt like moving him and doing it my self, the mini disco only lasted for about 15 minutes and it was meant to run for 40 minutes

but the thing that really got to me was that when ever a large group of spanish staid in the hotel everything seems to get better the food and the entertainment whent to a much higher standard and as soon as they left dropped back to the same rubbish service even the the show they had in of a night were so bad that most nights we were in bed by 9 as there was nothing else to do

Room Tip: go some were else

Stayed at this hotel the first week of opening for a 2 week stay. Found the rooms small but adequate for what we wanted. Was a little nervous of overlooking the main road but didnt hear anything at all throughout the stay. Food is typical as youd expect from a European 3* hotel, lots of variety, freshly cooked food, not overly hot but in no way unedible as some reviews suggest! All inlusive bar finishing at 11 seemed to annoy a few poeple however the cocktails and wine lists are very reasonable for the quality, much cheaper than they are in the bars in Salou, we payed for extras after hours most nights. Pool area is very small, consider this if this is what your basing your holiday on and planning to go any later than May or earlier than September as you will probably be disappointed. However it was generally quiet during our stay and we are not people who spend more than 2 days poolside throughout 2 weeks so it didnt bother us in the slightest. The pool bar is very good, close with shaded chairs nearby and always someone on hand to serve you and have a chat. Reception were also very good, always someone available and very friendly even if you thought it was a daft question! Also had a lightbulb in room replaced within 2 hours of informing them so very quick service. The spa is ok as an alternative for an afternoon, didnt get any treatments but it was nice to have one little but of time away from the bussel of family hotel atmosphere. Entertainment is no doubt very good in summer, but with few guests staying during our visit there was very little the staff could do to put a full programme on but we enjoyed the evening bingo and quizzes on offer as well as the outside programmes that came in. Overall the staff make this hotel fantastic, the friendliness of the restaurant and bar staff in particular give the hotel a unique and bubbly atmosphere to thouroughly enjoy your stay, Salou itself is very pretty and not at all the typical "brit abroad" style I was dreading finding. Lovely beach and shops with very good bars and restaurants. Definately do the downhill biking trip!!!

Just back after staying there for the first two weeks of May.
Small room but was cleaned every day. It overlooked the pool on the second floor & the sun was on the balcony from 5ish. Air conditioning worked well & plasma tv which had sky sports 1 & challenge tv.
Food was good though sometimes could have been hotter. Plenty of different types of meat & fish every day. Waiter service for drinks in dining room.
Cocktails were not included in All Inclusive which was disappointing.
Entertainment got better towards the end of our stay so could have been better.
Reception staff were very helpful.
Location of hotel was very good as only a 5-10 minute walk to beach.

Room Tip: You can wait a while for the lifts so always try to get a lower floor so you can use the stairs.

Just got back from an amazing holiday in eurosalou. The hotel was kept really clean the staff were friendly and helpful (in particular the restaurant manager)and the hotel was situated in a great place for access to the beach shops and bars. The food was varied and good quality, with the only slight negative being that sometimes it wasnt really hot. There was a ten minute walk to the beach but it was an easy walk and once thrre was lovely. Salou itself is beautiful. Long sandy beaches and really clean(dont be tempted by the sun loungers on the beach they are ao expensive). You can go to so many places easily on public transport. The euro salou does not have a huge pool and lots of entertainment but if like us you want somewhere clean comfortable with lots of food and drink to use as a base for your holiday, then its perfect.
