Arrived early morning and room ready to occupy, nice big room double bed with separate lounge area with large tv set.Small kitchen unit, sink microwave,kettle,fridge- very welcome, hotel
does not provide tea or coffee so take your own. second bedroom twin beds and tv set and wardrobe space so able to keep main room luggage free.Good balcony over looking baby pool

Restaurant very good although food at times a little warm rather than hot.
Breakfast had a good selection omelettes and pancakes a great hit
The special theme nights very good,Friday selection of seafood, prawns and mussels to die for for, don't normally do Sunday roast while away but the Yorkshire puds would give James Martin a run for his money..Ana made a special point of saying hello to all the children.as they came into restauant,Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel was available on counter but would have like it to have been more available around hotel, although did not hear of any tummy upsets.HAPPY HOUR was available after dinner and was a great bonus for those of us not on ALL INC,although prices at bar very competitive

Days out ,we used the Monday walking bus to Salou market meeting in lobby, big help from reps as quite away from hotel, which also led us to OLD TOWN when finished. However took the local bus to Cambrills on the Wednesday to be informed by bus driver to stay on bus if we wanted local market, which was also very good and larger than Salou, very pretty town loved the ice cream and took the reps advise and walked along to see the fishing boats come home with their catches Local buses very good value and very easy to get around and run quite late into the evening.
No children with us but impressed with Johnie and his fellow reps who all worked very hard to keep the children happy, loved the kiddies Disco.

No issue with sunbeds but it was later in season, lifeguard a welcome sight round pool if you had children with you.

ALL STAFF at hotel very friendly and helpful
THOMPSON REPS best I have had, very well done so near the end of season, thank you

Super stay for the three of us. Our 14 month old Isla had a great time and loved Thomson the Dog's daily appearances. The reps, entertainers, creche and kids reps worked tirelessly day and night to look after us all and make sure we were having a good time. Thank you E-J, Shaneece, Hana, Johnny, Jenelle and everyone else - you are all a credit to the company. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful too. All in all a very good stay with plenty of entertainment in a family-friendly environment.

Booked our holiday 27th Sept 2013 for 1 week with our 18 mnth old - having read all the reviews before booking I felt confident this hotel would be brilliant for my little toddler and it did not disappoint. We booked a 'double room' via Thomson which had no pictures but after a quick email we were told what the double rooms were like and if they were suitable for my toddler - they were great - high up on the 6th floor with a bedroom and toilet on one level with a balcony facing the road and some marble stairs leading up to the next floor and a baby gate at the top, with a bathroom, kitchen area, double bed and lounge area, both rooms have lcd tvs on the wall - the beds do take some getting used to as they are very hard - a memory foam topper wouldn't go amiss.
The weather was beautiful and there was never any mad stampede for the sunbeds - there is a fab soft play area down stairs which puts wacky warehouse to shame for toddlers - the pools are cold but quite welcome after being in the sun and the little slides are fab!
We went all inc and fully recommend this - lots of drinks on all inc including some branded and a cocktail of the day - very nice, the creche was FANTASTIC, I was a bit dubious at first leaving him with strangers etc but having met the girls, Cerys and Rachel I felt reassured he was in safe hands and the safety measures are brilliant, I booked my boy on 2 afternoon sessions 1.30 till 3.30 and he had a ball!! the girls are a credit to Thomson - Sarah on reception is fantastic, happy to help with any questions and always has a smile - Juan, the bar manager is brilliant, always chatting and making us laugh as is Fernandez - Ana is amazing in the restaurant trying toget my grumpy boy to smile and giving him jellied sweets, by the end of the holiday he took quite a shine to her, brilliant, as are the staff in the restaurant - all in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for families with young children, I never book the same place twice but we will return next year - the only downside is the price, because of all these fantastic reviews, the Thomson price for the same time next year in considerably dearer than what we paid for the same time which is a shame, just hope the price doesn't start putting people off. Fab time :0)

Room Tip: Double rooms are the best

This is a fantastic hotel for families with small children. We have just come back and had a fabulous time and so did our very active 20 month old son.
The transfer from the airport was about 20 mins, there was a bit of a queue at Reception, however Reception were quick and efficient at check in. Our room was ready and we were delighted with our suite, equipped with lovely Mothercare cot we had hired which was in a separate room for our son. Two flat screen T.V's, large balcony, fridge, kettle and microwave. All that we needed! The Reception staff in particularly Sarah were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Bar staff all friendly and efficient. The Thomson staff all work very hard and equally friendly and helpful. Recommend going to the Welcome Meeting for information. Some great trips available including trips to Barcelona. We found out about the free Toddler Time session in the crèche so we took our son and he loved it and we ended up booking him into the crèche for two mornings. Carys and Rachel were great and it meant my husband and I got a break by the pool.

The hotel is very well equipped with a small baby pool on the terrace, a pool with slides for small children/babies, small park with slides, another park with helter skelter, tube and bigger slides, indoor pool, indoor soft play area and a crèche and kids club.

Salou is a great resort and has beautiful walks along the promenades by the beach, with lots of palm trees providing shaded areas. Perfect for strolling and pushing a pram. There is a nice marina towards the end and some very nice boutique style shops. The beach also has several mini parks on the beach and the beach is huge! Great weather in September, 27'C approx.

The food in the hotel was good, perhaps not as good as other 4* hotels we have stayed in, but still a very good choice and you would have to be very fussy to not be able to eat anything! It was nice having an omelette cooked to order for breakfast.

Be careful leaving any nightwear or anything in or on your bed. Mine was whipped away when the maids stripped the bed and the linen gets sent away to be washed so I had to wait to get it back. They did however, wash and return it!!

We were very impressed and will definitely return, we can imagine it could be a bit mad in the school holidays though, so we may avoid July and August for now.

Room Tip: Pool facing, 2nd floor or above.

Stayed in the summer for 2 weeks, 2A, 2C. Couldn't really fault the overall experience.

Room is nice size, and can tell been recently been refurbished. Meals were nice, plenty choice, Anna always found you a seat.

The TC staff all work hard and make your holiday. It's a child friendly hotel so be prepared for the normal kids disco and acts.

The bottom end of the hotel where the footy pitch and golf needs updating though. And again it's a mad rush for beds on a morning, altho a few times it was pleasing to see the reception geezer (wouldn't mess with him!), removing towels that had been there all morning with no one on.

Surrounding area is a bit dirty/run down/graffiti, obviously nothing to do with the hotel. We went to Portaventura for the 1st week, it's a 20min walk. Also went to Barca but not with TC, used the local travel company, much cheaper and same trips.

Overall had a great 2 weeks. Congrats to all staff from the cleaners to the management, you are all a credit and make people come back specifically to this hotel.
