Description: “Miguel” offers Mediterranean cuisine and Mallorcan seafood. Quality ingredients from its own vegetable garden, the freshest fish and shellfish and excellent quality meats are the basis for its dishes. Hand made desserts and a comprehensive wine list complete its culinary offering. The restaurant is located in Santa Ponsa, at the top of the beach. It is charmingly decorated in a traditional, maritime style. The ambience is friendly and relaxed and the large welcoming dining rooms extend out onto a warm terrace with views over the sea.

The Calamaris we shared as a starter was the nicest I've ever eaten and my Gilthead (Bream) with clams was delicious. However, my son's medium-rare steak was served blue, they were happy to re-cook it as ordered, but it arrived as the rest of us were nearly finished and my daughter's spaghetti bolognese was okay, nothing special. The desserts were yummy, a rich dark mousse, a surprisingly delicious lemon sorbet with rum, and whiskey ice cream cake. The overall bill for three was 99 Euro!

The place has not the best atmosphere but the food is good. The waiter recommended the prawns as a starter. They were good but in my opinion very expensive: 8 prawns for over 20 euros. As a main dish we had Paella with lobster which was very good. But when we got the bill we were disappointed about'the waiter's recommendation. 'So be careful!

Been there several times at different times of the year and it's always been very very good. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for....excellent food and excellent service. Great fish, (seafood is a speciality) and meat dishes (the duck is fab). Desserts are also super and it has a very relaxed atmosphere....an ideal place to watch the sun go down with a couple of glasses of vino! The only problem is choosing what to have from the vast menu. Staff very friendly and genuine - it's a "must visit" if you like an unpretentious restaurant with great food.
