“Good hotel in a nice location.”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

Myself and 11yr old son stayed for one week at the beginning of August. We arrived very early morning and were given one of the rooms that directly faced the cliff face,no sunlight and no breeze.I had read about these rooms prior to going so I expected it.As we had no intention of sitting on the balcony it did not bother us.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis and found the food and drinks satisfactory,on par with other 4* all inclusive holidays that I have been on.
The room was of adequate size with a large bathroom with clean towels daily. The beds were quite firm but this suited us quite fine. There was an older type television set that had only 2 English channels,BBC world news and an American news channel.
The pool area was good with plenty of seating and sunbeds but if you want a sunbed you need to be an early riser!!
There was an area close to the pool that had 3 running machines,3 cross trainers,3 bicycles and a few weights machines.
There was an indoor pool and sauna. The indoor pool looked inviting but the water looked a bit murky so we did not try this!
There are beach and pool towels available to hire which are 5 euros per towel and these can be changed as many times as required. These are available from reception.
The entertainment in the evening is absolutely dire,if not comical!
The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a few minutes walk from either the main beach or turn left when leaving the hotel and there is a smaller beach there, not so crowded.
The one major let down of the hotel is the air conditioning,or should I say the lack of it.The air-con in the room was absolutely dreadful so be prepared for this. There are no windows on any of floors so the heat inside the hotel in the evenings was awful!
There was a childrens club available but I did not see many children in this.
The majority of travellers in the hotel were from Germany,Belgium,Holland and some Eastern Europeans.
To sum this hotel up I would reccomend it to travellers that do not require any entertainment in the evenings but require a good base for a beach holiday.
If anyone has any questions or requires any other information please feel free to contact me.

Room Tip: Ask for one at the front of the hotel!

The hotel advertises aircon. Ours was useless no controls in the room and in any case it just blew warm air very gently from the vent. We spoke to another 5 or 6 couples who had complaints about the aircon and found sleeping very uncomfortable. Why do management not sort this out is it because aircon is not cheap to run? Food was poor and no imagination or effort put into desserts . We ate out quite often .Santa Ponsa is a nice clean family resort and we will almost certainly return. BUT NOT TO THIS HOTEL.

When we first arrived at 12:30am, it wasn´t the very best of welcomes. We came to find that our room was not ready and we had to be split between two twin rooms. Moreover, the rooms were facing a cliff face and had no balcony. But to make up for this, they receptionist allowed us to have "free safe" for rest of holiday, and we will get moved to a room the next day.
The following morning we got told that we couldnt change rooms until someone had checked out, which was a bit annoying. When we finally got our room, the air con was not good but it worked, and we had a balcony facing someones apartment. However, the bathroom was quite spaceious and had a lot of room to move.
The food was very decent and tasty, but not much choice. The hotel advertises having a snack bar, what snack bar? All their was cheese on crackers and few pieces of fruit. No hot food like chips or pizza. On the other hand, the drinks at the bar were quite good and offered alot of cocktails.
The entertainment was rubbish, all they did was hire out a few musicians about twice per week at the most. And when thats not happening, a lovely game of bingo is been offered. The music around the pool was the 80´s job and very boring. I wpuldn´t recomoned this hotel for children and family as their is little activities to do, a game of ping pong and the most.
Overall, i would reccomemd this hotel for couples or familys with older children as it is very quite and relaxing.

we have been here on 4 previous occasions but as time is passing on it is getting very tired. We travelled to Mallorca at the end of March 2013 and were blessed with good weather. The hotel food is not as good as it was in previous years, less choice by far and if you dined later in the evening then the range was limited and you felt rushed to clear the dinning room. There was very little entertainment in in the hotel one night in the week I think and very little pen in neighbouring streets past 7pm. I know it was out of season so many good books came in handy.

The beds are not comfortable as they are no more than camp beds so if you need a good bed and a good nights sleep think again. We viewed the new wing 'boutique style' wing and were horrified by the small room sizes, essentially a room split into 2 with limited views. This was our last visit but if you are on a budget then it is a good option......

Room Tip: ask for a high room facing the front pool circa 304-8, 404-8 or 504-8. Avoid the annex of the back...

Spent a week in july at this hotel with my teenage daughter. We were on b&b basis and the breakfast was just ok but the dining room didnt have aircon so got very uncomfortable and certainly not inclined to linger. The rooms were clean and bathroom spacious however the aircon in room was not very strong which meant hard to sleep. The hotel seems to cater for german and dutch clients and the entertainment was the worst I have ever encountered . Other than this the hotel itself is quite nice and pool area excellent however I would not be inclined to return for a second visit.

Room Tip: We had a partial sea view on 7th floor but would have prefered pool view.

Paid for a sea view but could only see the sea if you lent out over the balcony wall .air con only as good as a small child blowing through a straw .breakfast very poor, pay 3 euros and go to one of the local cafes .if you are British you might want to know that the hotel is full of Germans . On the good points you do get clean towels every day..

hi. I have stayed in several hotels and done 2 cruises I have been very happy with all my holidays until now....the hotel was very disappointing we stayed last week in July. The aircon wasn't working or worked very poorly..several complaints but no effort to fix however we where given a fan. NO aircon in dining hall no fans on ceiling either ..so you can imagine trying to eat in the heat. the choice of food was limited and very repetitive bland and lukewarm....the deserts mousse, mousse and more mousse ice cream jelly and gateau every night come on guys you can do better than that.. if not all inclusive you had to pay for a drink with dinner as no water or juice was provided. waiting staff seemed intent on getting people out asap.. Old tv in rooms , one English channel bbc world service..the internet in the lobby seemed to be out of order at all times and the wifi was only fair.... the rooms where clean but dated with clean towels and linen every day and the beds were comfortable... we had one usable socket in the room .. I would say the staff were efficient .The balcony lights were switched out around 12.15 at night the entertainment was not great .. I know others may think differently about the hotel and its only my opinion but its your money
