“Excellent Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2009

I would just start by saying if you don't like walking and like your room to be totally spotless then this is not going to be the place for you, however if like us you love to walk and want a hotel in a beautiful location and can accept a little bit of dust then go for it. The views are amazing the food is great (varied and good choice as well as good starting times of 7.00 for breakfast and 6.30 for dinner) and the 20 minute walk into town is good. Its in a nice quiet location too so a definate bonus if you like to sleep to the sound of the sea and not blaring music. The rooms were cleaned daily and new towels left, ok so the room wasn't totally pulled apart and every scrap of dust cleaned up but lets face it do you do that at home every day! Its not like we paid a fortune to stay so totally acceptable. I didn't see one cockroach in the resort let alone in the hotel although there were a fair few mozzies about so take the insect repellant. Overall the holiday was amazing the staff were friendly and helpful the food was great and the location superb.

Stayed here for 11 nights half board during June with my wife of 21 years ,i thought the views on arrival were fantastic looking over the sea from reception the staff were more than friendly if fact some of the friendliest i have come across , our room on the ground floor was clean and tidy the views from the balcony were just great and as for the food i thought the food was really nice something for everyone hot carvery every night, too salad bar and desserts too die for.Entertainment was great something for everyone every night and during the day too and if it,s not for you then there is always the square which has free entertainment every night of the week from Motown too ABBA but would like too recommend the Auld triangle just up by the square which has a great guitarist on every night who will play anything you like until 3 in the morning (great stuff). The beach is about a 20-30 min walk but there are plenty of shops and restaurants on the way. So too sum up i think for a 3 star hotel this more than exceeds expectation and would not hesitate to go back tomorrow. .

went last week in june 1st week in july. had heard a lot of good things about this hotel so was looking forward to going here. we went self cateing in a 1 bedroom apt. no way is the self catering facilities of any use. dirty utensils and a dirty fridge which was not defrosted.
the cleanliness of the rooms were at 1st sight good but, as holiday went on very poor. we had lots of ants, spiders.a few cockroaches to say the least. when we asked on numerous times for this to be dealt with, we found staff most unhelpful and the cleaners on our floor did not clean rooms very well at all, even leaving us without towels.. we also had the theft of a gold chain, again staff at reception not interseted. the poolside area could also be cleaned on a daily basis. so based on our experience we will not be back or recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, it ticks all the boxes for me. Far enough away from nite life to get a good nights sleep, but close enough to enjoy all the bars in the area and the great "SQUARE" wich has free entertainment for all the family every night including kiddies disco run by Maria my daughter loved her!!! Prizes to be won !! The Hotel pools are fabulous and you can use inflatables and balls as there is plenty of room. The food is great something for everyone and all ages, just one tip buy some HP sauce makes the full english in a morning perfect. Additional charges inc safe and tv, I dont go on holiday to watch tv but the safe is a must for me!! The bars/shops in the surrounding area have raised their prices a lot but no more expensive than at home, If you do stay at this hotel, just a tip on your way down the hill to the square stop at a little bar on the right next to the car/bike rental place, a nicer man you will never meet. Enjoy we certainly did.x

What a lovely hotel with great views. Because we requested a fridge we got an appartment style room with kitchenette and furniture. the sofa had an arm which stuck out and caught me twice on each thigh. The huge terrace balcony had sun from midday until it went down behind mountains and all you could hear at night was the sea lapping below. The pool was good with same views and had no trouble getting bed and brolly at 9am. Food was ok at breakfast much the same as anywhere in Spain but the evening meals were lovely. First time we've had leg of lamb on carvery out of any hotel in Spain. The buffet starters were wonderful,as were main courses and desserts. Main problem was deciding what to have from all the choices on offer. Better than many 4star hotels we've been to. Staff were fine and dining room was large and never seemed too full (maybe we timed it right). Have a game of cash bingo while your there and give Lee (the entertainer ) the audience he deserves. A tip for anyone going to beach,go downhill to Jardin del Mar and take the lift to pool then walk through backs of hotels to main beach. I wasn't that keen on Santa Ponsa but the square downhill and turn left had decent tribute acts. Glad we went and loved hotel but found main town a bit far out.

When we arrived we were told that our room had been double booked for two nights. We were sent to the hotel down the street which was meant to be the same standard. The reception staff could not care less about the visitors and when we asked to speak to the manager, he was never available.
Hotel is nice with splendid views, food pretty average, we ate out on our last night as we could nopt face the same boring buffet.

Due to our treatment by the rude staff we will not be booking any hotel in this group again. I have e-mailed them twice since arriving home, I have not even an the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Enough said

What a fantastic hotel, beautiful views. I travelled with 3 friends all aged 21, only short taxi ride to magaluf if you want a bit more action!
we had 2 rooms almost linked in the middle, with 2 sofas, and fridge, perfect for what we wanted.
Lovely balconys overlooking the sea, also loved the pool area. Yes there is a walk to the main resort but it is not far, and the views from the cliff top make it worthwhile!
Staff all friendly and helpful, and a great variety of food served.
Will definitley return.
