“Good family hotel, lots of people”
Reviewed 7 September 2012

A very large hotel with a dinning room for 680. If you like small and friendly do not come here. The hotel was average in every way except the food, which was very good!
The room was 'tired' and the bed, well it needed a new one.
The cleaning ladies very friendly, the other staff needed a holiday, a bit grumpy.
The pool area, just not big enough and i've not seen the guests que at the doors with their towels for the sun beds every day awaiting the unlocking at 8.30 to dash out and secure their space!

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the end of the block or you'll be overlooking a roof area or other guests...

Went on a last minute holiday with a friend, we felt very comfortable at this hotel, staff were friendly, hotel very clean & food good with plenty of choice. Never had to queue for a sunbed & we didn't wake up till after nine every morning. Good area to wander around outside the hotel although a little more Spanish would of suited us better. If you like the usual gift shops, bars & Irish street then this area would suit you.

Fab hotel, great food, looks like a5* well impressed, great entertainment with max at night, mainly families with older teens and some young couples, please don't take very young babies very sad when they are crying round the pool getting to hot !! And small pool is not for tiny babies as they will get splashed by the under 10's as one lady complained that her tiny baby got splashed ahem !!! It's a pool lol :D any how you won't be disappointed music off at 11, small resort , best food we gave ever had in AL no ques at bar either staff very pleasant and always willing to help, restaurant staff def need a pat on the back for the food and cleanness of the tables brilliant !! Enjoy x

we had a week at this hotel on 17.08.2012 we had a fabulous time. All the staff were always pleasent and hardworking entertainment brilliant i.e. beatles tribute band comedian/singer called george both (brill) we also found animation team exeptionally good especially max (so funny) . trips to come fly with me and pirates acrobatic shows fantastic and great value. and katmando theme park was great too.food was very high standard beef carved off joints in front of you melted in mouth pork, gammon . half chickens all sorts of meat inc tikka massalla racks of ribs (yum!) chocolate fountain one night with profiteroles cheese n crackers too the list could go on. I must say i have never experianced such brilliant food. Rooms were spotless and so was whole of hotel .( Beach 3 mins from hotel walking) loads shops there too . pool was kept clean. I would definately go back again lovely place.

well what can i say about the food different everyday and of the highest quality, there was something for everyone everyday. From duck, to salmon to paella was all top quality and meant we looked forward to meal time. Simular to the food the drinks were also very good great choice from baileys to dissarano. Moving on to max and the entertainment team who are superb we dont like to be hustled to join in all the activities and they found the right balance.Night time entairtainment was very good we stayed in the hotel most nights and they had some great acts such as los beatles aswell as bingo bongo ( i say no more). Oh and how ever much you think you won't it is a fact that at the end of your stay you will be doing the chichiwa.
The only downside for us was maybe the pool could have been a little bigger however with a fantastic beach on the doorstep we made the most of that as the beach is beautiful, safe and very clean.
overall top holiday would definatly recommend

Room Tip: higher the better

our stay at the hotel from 18thaug 2ndsept 2012 was mostly enjoyable the entertainment was good the food was plentyful and a good choice. my disappointments were if you were not queing at 7.30am for a sunbed it would be very unlikely that you would get one or a brolly there just arnt enough to go round. the second week of our holidays were not as bad round the pool area as this was near the end of the school holidays. we encounted a powercut due to a storm on the last thursday of stay which ment the hotel was in total darkness, including the restaurant in which we has to eat our evening meal in darkness which also ment all the food went cold, you would think a hotel of this size would have a generator . at the end of the street there is a sewerage pumping station which gave daily intermittent smells .. when you are all inclusive this should mean from arrival to leaving we had a really late pickup 12-10am so we were without drinks from 3pm till our pickup.also paying 50euros to keep your room on till 6pm is far to much with late checkouts you should beable to keep your room on till at least 7pm.

Room Tip: there are only 20rooms facing the pool the rest either face the road or the aircon or another hotel

I would class this hotel as a good 2* but not a 3* . we were 3 to a room 2 adults and a 12 year old, very cramped. food was not the best we ate out a few times as we just couldn't face it! Air conditioning not the strongest and we had to complain about the smell that was coming threw into the room it smelt of sewerage!!! Only went around the pool once it was very cramped. We chose to go half board rather than all inclusive we found the bar very expensive with local brands if i'm paying you would expect quality spirits. The road towards the beach stinks of sewerage most of the time! Towards the end of our 2nd week there were lots of older people and the whole atmosphere seemed to chill! I'm afraid i won't be going back!! Santa ponsa itself is a great resort and the beach is fab! We went to marineland which was great we used the buses which is a cheap way of exploring!

Room Tip: on arrival you are allocated a key card which also activates the electric in the room and airconditi...
