This is the second time I have been to Santa Ponsa and I never wanted to leave! I went with my family and another family and we all had a great time! We arrived at night and immediately the front of the hotel stood out and was great, the detail of the front is amazing and we would come out of our room and people would be taking pictures of it! The pool area is great, all pirate themed and enough space to do what you wanted. The two pirate shows that were preformed through the day were amazing great actors and very entertaining. The cleanliness of the hotel and outside was very good, there were always cleaners about all day non stop working which kept it in great condition. The rooms are just what you needed, a good size with a kitchen which came in handy, but all we used the room for was to sleep in so we didn't really worry about it. Food was good, enough variety, not too much just enough, there was always something there that I liked, and had a kids section! Bar staff very friendly and always helpful. But the main reason I didn't want to leave the hotel was down to the entertainers Mariam and Robi when they had there day off friday the place wasn't the same! They would come round everyday offering a wide range of activities to do, good sports and fitness was great to! They work incredibly hard and deserve great credit for what they do! They were so friendly and a great laugh and we will miss them hugely! I would recommend this hotel to anyone with young kids or a family as its great fun and a great laugh!

we have just returned home from our 8 nt all inclusive holiday to pirates village. where do I start. on arrival we was greeted by a lovely Spanish man on reception also the head entertainer both polite and friendly. then we was directed to our room which was 128 on the first floor. everywhere we looked was clean, not 1 bit of dust rubbish etc, as we opened our room door it was cool with the aircon, 1st room on right was a twin bedroom with ample space in wardrobe, extra blacket, safe dressing table mirror. through to the living area there was 2 sofas which were also two bed's, a dining table and chairs, fridge microwave toaster kettle pans and cutlery. none of these really applied to us as we were all inclusive but was still great because I drink tea n coffee and cant really function with out one. on the veranda through the double patio door was a lovely veranda, the doors are a little old but clean and do what they should, every room over looked the pool and a great view so no entertainment was missed. the pool area is immaculate there is a little Spanish cleaner who walks around and keeps the place spotless. Slides and pools are amazing for the children we took our two boys 5-2yrs who loved every minute. I will say the rooms are a little dated but there are clean and fresh, unless you are very picky theres rooms are great. daytime entertainment is great for both kids and adults, robby and Mariam look after everyone and try to get as many people involved as possible, nothing is too much trouble for them. breakfast was gorgeous, English sausage fried egg, Spanish scrambled egg proper beans fresh tomatoes, boiled eggs fresh fruit fresh bread toast etc etc. endless tea coffee frsh juice water.... there are ample tables both inside and out so the person who said there wasn't enough this is so not true, but each to there own I suppose. food was great there was something for everyone, an exclusive kids buffet which my kids loved, salad bread etc, evening meals and snack bar was great burgers hotdogs chips onion ring ham n cheese toasties... drinks at night were local drinks but they were very generous with them. endless ice cream slush's lolly's for the kids was fab. evening entertainment was great if you fancy a night in your room the music wasn't loud as they was not allowed due to Spanish resident's so you would not have a problem getting your kids or yourself to sleep.... the bar staff and restaurant staff were all amazing apart for 1 young Spanish girl who was a little moody at times but they clean mess up in seconds so I can totally understand. the pirate theme in the hotel its self in outstanding, the restaurant has sails as if your are on a real ship its breath taking the kids club is so safe and ellie and jasmine are absolutely lovely people... soooooo child friendly..if you visit your this hotel and you don't like it then you must be an extremely fussy person... my kids cried this morning because they didn't want to come home.... this hotel is going to be renovated in the rooms in the next yr or so, so we are definatley going to go back.... loved everything about it xxxxxxx

Room Tip: all room were the same but a few people did say that they heard a bit of noise from the main road

We have just returned from our holiday at Pirates village as a group of two families and had a great time! The front of the hotel looks fantastic as does the pool area and is always kept very clean. The pirate attacks which happen twice a week were great fun to watch and excellent entertainment for children and adults! The rooms are of a good standard, very spacious and kept clean at all times. The food is also excellent with different choices every day and also a kids section, so there is always something to eat! But what really made our holiday were the constant hard working friendly staff behind the bar, and most importantly the entertainers Robbie and Mariam. They both worked so hard with all the day and night time activities! We especially loved the aqua gym/Zumba! These two really made our holiday even more special and left us with great memories!!

Stayed here May this year.Dining room not enough tables.Food poor choice and cold Alcohol drinks rubish.Swimming pool nearly had 2 children drouned as lifeguards not very good.Apartments old worn dated and no hot water after it said refurbished hotel on jet2 details.Could not be bothered to complain to jet2 as I though it would be pointless.Just put it down to a expensive bad experiance.

Room Tip: To get a good room go to another hotel

we found pirates village really good for the kids.the food was nice but after 2 weeks we had a couple of meals out for a change.the staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful.rooms were clean and the cleaners came in every 2 days.
we went this year in july.the weather was great.
the only downside was santa ponsa itself.there was a constant smell of sewage around certain hotels and patrs of the beach were covered in fag ends and rubbish.
i would recommend the pirates village for a family holiday.

Currently in the middle of our 11 day stay. With my wife and two young boys (aged 5 & 8) its great for the kids. The front of the hotel is excellent, reception area and dining area great.
Staff are friendly and work hard to get guests involved, with a pirate show around the pool, and the usual, aqua Zumba, table tennis, darts etc...
Food is good, not a huge selection, but we found there's was enough choice, however the sausages at breakfast are not great at all.
The rooms need a makeover.
Our room is a bit noisy, it's the 1st room on the corridor. I have stayed in better but I have also stayed in much worse.
I would advise all inclusive if not then your drinks bill could be expensive. Ice creams and small cokes are 2/3 euros each. It's not a very big hotel so no big queues for drinks and the bar staff are friendly and quick.
There's a well equipped and safe kids club.
The evening entertainment has been ok with a mini disco for the kids.
