“Great!! Apart from food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

Spent 11 night here beginning of June, great place pool fantastic, staff friendly can't do enough! Entertainment ok but the effort from staff makes up for what it lacks! I was self catering pretty basic and so are the apartment but fine for us, ate out most days.
Decided to upgrade to all inclusive for the last few days mainly for the kids sake, they wanted unlimited ice cream, snacks ect. The food was not good id say the worst I've had yet, it was either chicken, fish or pork, chips one other type of potato and 2 veg! Some salads, cheese and bread! Every day! Lunch and dinner! I think I would of cracked up if I was AI the whole time!
I would return as apart from food it was very enjoyable and kids loved it.

This was our first holiday as a family and we were impressed! The pools were fantastic and my daughter couldn't get enough of them. The food was decent, although the same thing more than once it was cooked beautifully. We absolutely loved the entertainment and the energy off Robert, Simone and Roman got the kids going! The pirate shows were great and the actors really put their heart into it. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful they look like they enjoyed their jobs. We will definitely be booking up again!!

Overall a good hotel with nice rooms and good all inclusive food but we expected much more from a themed hotel. For the past two years we have gone to Orlando and we expected much more. Both of our children were a bit disappointed cause the entertainment was poor and they repeated the same over and over.

The staff all friendly and great interaction with children. rooms very clean, great choice of food. Sun care adivsor visits hotel daily and very helpful. Only used kids club a few times but my 6 year old really enjoyed it. Pools are aimed at children of all ages. Mini disco at 8pm and the main shows that follow are fantastic.Recommend and we will be going back.

Last year we stayed at the Pirates village and it was good so we decided to go this year as a family 5 adults 4children plus 2 babies. We were not disappointed this hotel is very focused on the family and making it a dream holiday. The Receptionist on arrival was lovely she was very efficient and we were checked in quite quickly. The children were in their element with the pools and the Ice cream slushies' etc. Last year I must admit the food wasn't great but this year they really have up graded. There was so much to choose from and food was been cooked on a grill as well. We went all inclusive and we were glad we did as in the long run it saved you a fortune . The shows at night were great and it was great to see the Pirates encourage the children to act with them. They had so much fun and this made the holiday for us to see them so entertained .the Apartments we stayed in were not the themed ones and im so glad as there nice and bright. The one thing i didn't like is they don't supply you with a tea towel which i missed . So if your going pack an old one just for cups and glasses etc. The rooms are basic but nice and bright. the main thing is this Hotel feels so safe friendly and the Children old and Young have the time of their lives. Hope to be returning in the future please God.

Room Tip: room 132-232 those floors great. ground floors no views

We have just returned from a week stay at Pirate Village and my 3 children have had the best holiday ever.

On arrival we did have to wait a couple of hours for our rooms to be ready but whilst waiting were able to watch the pirates invading the pool area and setting up a splash competition from the plank! The time went quick enough and as soon as the room was ready the kids were eager to get in the pool! The rooms we had were basic but a good enough base for sleeping and changing.
The pool area is fantastic. We have a 2, 4 and 7 year old. The pool around the tower varies in depth from baby pool to very deep for the older kids to jump into, each area separated off so no chance of toddler wandering into too deep a water. The slide area is just amazing for the kids too with various slides for older ones and a couple of toddler slides too. (sunbeds are unlocked at 9am - if you cant beat em, join'em and get yourself set up for the day in a good spot lol)
We were all inclusive - all the kids were made up with being able to help themselves to icecream whenever they fancied as well as the drinks. The food was ok - nothing too special, but a bit of choice to see you through a week, the kids were happy with it and that is the main thing. The serving staff were always happy to help and tables cleared constantly.) If you want fine dining don't be moaning if you book here!
The entertainment was just brilliant. It was my eldest 8th birthday whilst away. Captain Shadow and his crew arrived to sing happy birthday and present a cake. A little pirate show around our table led to this being her best birthday EVER!!! Lena was great with the little kids for the 8pm minidisco too. We didn't use the kids club but their was lots of activities on to keep the kids entertained if you wanted. Different show each night too apart from Saturday.
The beach is just a 5minute walk up the road and was a firm favourite with the kids.
Overall I would recommend this hotel - and we are hopefully booking for next year too!

Room Tip: We had rooms 027 and 028 on the ground floor so did not get a view of the pool as had a hedge in the...
