We booked this holiday very last minute so could not expect anything other than what we paid for.
The rooms are very basic and was not that clean when we arrived. The maids did not clean properly at all during our stay.
On arrival we had to pay 50 euros just in case 'we were wild' (receptionists words) and broke anything. (I was with my mum and daughter).
We also had to pay 2 euros per person for a sunbed by the pool each day we were there, which I have never had to do before.
The steps down to the main street and beach are a killer. This accommodation is not suitable for anyone with a mobility issue.
The best restaurant by far on the main street is El Ceibo. It was recommended to us by a friend before we left. You must go, it is amazing. Make sure you book a table.
Overall, it was a lovely holiday, but the rooms really need to be cleaned a lot better.

On reading some of the review we were a little wary about these apartments, but we should not have worried. We were in a one bedroom apartment 4 adults and a one year old. There was plenty of room and a large balcony which was ideal for the child to play on as it was walled in. It was very clean and the maid came in every second day to clean and change towels.
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had some noise from some lads in the middle of the night I went to the reception and the man came to them and told them to be quiet and we never heard another noise.
We had a late flight home but we made use of the apartments courtesy room which was large and clean with two showers and clean towels were supplied.
It was a good walk to the beach and centre but you could use the free mini bus but we did walk. The only thing that was a problem is we had a hire car and we found it difficult to find places to park.
All in all we had a great time.

was wary about these apartments when I booked them going by some comments on tripadvisor... The comments couldn't be further from the truth. On arrival the complex was above my expectations. We were in a one bed on the 4th Floor. 2adults, 2 children (16&6). The Apartments were so spacious. two sofa's in the sitting area with a pull out bed on one of them which makes it into a double. Balcony was massive, and views excellent. Swimming pools were lovely. Bar pool on hand for Drinks and snacks all day, with lovely staff. Reception staff were also really nice and helpful. The "Steps" to the beach were long, but we didn't mind going down them, and paid for a taxi back (3.80 on average).

Room Tip: Views of the bay on 4th floor or above.

We stayed between 13th and 20th of August this year, our party was 2 adults and 4 teenage kids, 2 13 years old and 2 15 year olds. The reception staff were helpful but once we got to our room we were disappointed. (Room 631) Although the room was large with 2 bedrooms, the view was of a apartment block that was being renovated, when we requested a pool view. The apartment was very basic and and was full of ants and the room was never cleaned properly and beds never maid. We had to pay 30 euros for air con and the sunbeds are 2 euros per bed per day, i have never had to pay for sunbeds at a hotel before. There was no evening entertainment at the complex and bar closed at 11.30. The pool area was ok but the food and drink was a little over priced.. To get to the main part of santa ponsa you will have to walk down 176 steps that are uneven and very steep and would be diffiult for many people. We enjoyed santa ponsa and we also visited magaluf and there are some lovely places to eat there also some lovely looking hotels, you do not have to visit the main nightlife strip. We did have a lovely holiday and weather was great, just disappointed with the hotel.

Room Tip: Room 631 is a good size with 2 bedrooms, but at the moment not the best view, rooms in block 1, 2, o...

We arrived late at night to a very noisy party in the next apartment , we complained the next morning to the very friendly and helpful reception staff who sorted the problem.
The apartment was extremely clean and very comfortable.
We had a beautiful view of the sea and beach.
The apartment contained everything we could have needed although air condition ing was extra.
The pool was great!! Not too busy and relaxing. The pool staff were very friendly as were the pool bar staff.
DONT LET THE STEPS PUT YOU OFF!! You can avoid them by walking around the apartments instead , but they were fine for us and good exercise!
We got free use of the courtesy room on our last day which had two huge showers and lots of space.
Apart from the noisy people in other apartments which was no fault of the apartments themselves they were perfect.
I would definitely go back! Missing it already!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view (beautiful) Ask to be away from noisy young visitors

Our group was 8 strong, two separate apartments were booked. On arrival, the second of the two bookings had not been communicated at time of booking, thankfully one room was ready for us. Our location was at the bottom of the complex, overlooking a renovated block and not much else. Disappointment number 1. A single mattress was on the floor when we arrived, no pull out part from underneath the settee just the mattress on its own. We returned to reception to enquire about the other part which was quickly brought to our room. Overall the condition of the furniture was old and shabby, arms on the armchair vandalised with previous occupants initials. The room was clean enough apart from the dead insects on the floor which the maid swept away after we mentioned it when she arrived with our sheets. Air con is a must for these apartments and was the saving grace. Cigarette ends were strewn over the balcony, possibly by the upstairs occupants. Condoms littered the area over our balcony. After 2 days we complained to reception re our towels not being changed and having seen no sign on the maid since checking in. The towels arrived promptly after that. We ended up cleaning the bathroom ourselves, 4 people sharing all the facilities can be messy! No bed clothes were ever replaced during our whole stay, pretty grim. The pool area is nice, manned by a life guard every day which is reassuring. The snacks on offer are fine if slightly over priced. Staff overall were very friendly which helped but it wouldn't make me return. The steps, lots of pictures of them by other residents, are a nightmare, these apartments are not for the older generation for this reason. Cabs are a few euros from the main drag and an option we took up. The location is fine, it's just a pity they fall short on base line cleanliness requirements for folks on vacation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool area or high up for a delightful view of the beach.
