Stayed for two weeks from 7 June. 2 adults, 2 kids. Really enjoyed it, a nice peaceful break. Food was good, with plenty of choice and there was never an issue with sunbeds, no matter what time you went to the pools. In fact the only time sunbeds started getting reserved with towels was as more British families arrived. The main pool was the busiest but the family pool and the sports pool made a nice change if you wanted something a bit quieter. The free beach towels also saved on packing space.

The wind can be an issue for some, the first few nights it was too windy to sit outside and very noisy. However the room we stayed in shut the noise out once the balcony doors were closed.

The free bottles of water are a really good idea and the kids loved the drinks and ice creams at the pool bar.

There was always plenty of variety at meal times, though the main restaurant does get really busy and sometimes a small queue for a table.

The staff were all very friendly and hard working.

There were plenty of activities if you wanted them, from supervised road bike or mountain bike rides to exercise classes. Plus tennis courts, volleyball, give a side and pool games.

The one negative we had was the evening entertainment. The majority of the nights it was difficult to actually sit through. Whether the better acts don't get that far south on the island I don't know, but it was a real struggle.

However this did not spoil the holiday. Overall had a great time and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Higher floor very quiet and close to spa

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel from the 18th-28th June and we have both agreed that we would love to go back, please don't be put off this hotel is you have read any negative reviews as they don't reflect the hotel in the slightest.
On arrival - arrived around half 9, very quick check in, bags were taken down to our rooms as we went to get some food. Hotel staff very polite.
Room- block 14- fully refurbished room, always very clean. Plenty of plug sockets around the room and all in convenient places. Room has a hair dryer in the bathroom. We liked a lie in every now and again but no matter how late we left the room the maid would always come back to make the room up and replenish towels ect. View was excellent, room was also cool at night without air con.
Pools/activities - plenty of pools and sun beds for everyone to enjoy. There is a sports pool where you can swim lengths peacefully, big main pool and smaller pool were always very clean, we mixed up where we had sun beds so some days we could be involved in the games ect and others could be more relaxing. Water polo was very entertaining to watch and play. Plenty of activities for children and adults to break the day up a little bit. Always a class or activity that you can try during the day, plus a sports shop incase you forget your trainers or sports wear.
Food/drink - plenty of food to try, very wide variety, never had a bad meal here. You will always find something to eat that you will enjoy. We went to the Italian buffet which was lovely, pasta, pizza, lasagne ect. Disco bar open 6-2 for drinks, bar staff are very attentive and will replenish your drinks if they see your nearly finished. When the bar closes here people head over to the lobby bar where there is 24/7 drinks. Food is also served more or less all day, breakfast, snack bar, dinner, tea , late night snacks and sandwiches at lobby bar late at night. Free wine on tables with meals, water in bottles widely available to take back to rooms, drinks are all readily available during meals.
Weather - lovely during the day, slight breeze, comfortable to sit in all day. At night sometimes windier so take a jacket or cardi just incase.
Trips out - went to oasis park which is defiantly worth a visit too. Boat trip was nice, finishes at 2 in the afternoon so perfect amount of time out at sea where you can whale and dolphin watch.
Beach - lovely clear blue sea, soft sand. Yes there are steps to get down to the beach, no problem getting down, might take longer getting back up but it's not impossible, just take your time and enjoy the view as you do.

Overall lovely hotel, suitable for families, couples, or even single travellers.
Defiantly will book to visit again, genuinely was nothing I would change about the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks from 14th June 2014. We are a well travelled couple in late 30's/early 40's. Having already been to other Canary Islands and liked them, we thought we would give Fuerteventura a go.

Outgoing flight with Firstchoice
Left on time with no hiccups, there were a few kids screaming on the flight which kind of took the 'shine off' the start of our holiday but there is nothing you can do about it when parents think they are enriching their 6 month olds life by taking them to a hot country that they will never remember! There was enough leg room and the flight went quickly.

Holiday transfer
We did not have a rep on our coach (which I thought was a bit odd) but then it was nice not having to hear there 'welcome to Fuerteventura' speech.

Hotel check in
On arrival at the hotel we were given a welcome drink which was nice touch, We were checked in by Willhelm (not sure I have spelled this correctly), he was very informative, polite and efficient - in fact further into the holiday Willhelm helped me with my queries on reception to which I found him very helpful and pleasant. Check-in for us was quick as we were the first in the queue lol, we then set off, found our room (block 21 room 21002).

Hotel room
Spacious, tidy, nicely decorated, huge bed, nice balcony with lovely rattan furniture (a nice change from plastic) and a partial sea view. The bathroom is roomy with bath, shower, toilet, sink and hair dryer. The hotel do supply shampoo, showergel, soap and cotton make up remover pads. There is a free safe and fridge (bottle of water in the fridge which again was a nice touch). Our cases were brought to our room within minutes. We then went to investigate the dining room

Dining
There is a huge main dining room where breakfast lunch and dinner is served. This offers a vast array of self serve food and drinks. Breakfast is lovely with the usual cereals, hot food, breads and lovely jams. The coffee out of the machines (cafe con leche) was lovely. Lunches are hot and cold self serve. At dinner the waiters put a bottle of red wine and sparkling water on your table, there are also a choice of fizzy pop, juice, red, rose and white wine and of course beer. The food was ok ish for the first week but then as usual in an all-inc resort it becomes very repetitive. There are lots of choice I agree but everything starts to taste the same and I found most food a little to salty for my taste. Also most of the food could do with being hotter. There are 2 other restaurants, Baia which is Italian, this serves late lunches 2-5 and evening meals (you have to pre book the evening). We both loved the late lunches, the fresh made pizzas are gorg and its much more relaxed than in the main dining room. We did book one evening but were very disappointed to find it was self serve as we were looking forward to being waited on. Next Restaurant is El Gusto which is mexican, this only opens in the evening and you have to prebook. The starter we had was lovely but the main course was extremely salty to the point both myself and hubby left all our food. The last restaurant is Les Reses which I think maybe Argentinian, we when here twice as it was that good. The food is lovely and the steak was delicious. The red wine in prebook restaurants is really good, although the red wine in the main dining room is also easily drinkable and was to blame for a couple of fuzzy heads.
a snack lunch is also available from the pool bar (toasties, hotdogs, chips and bocadillios)

The grounds
The hotel is set in immaculate gardens with path ways leading to the rooms and pools. The rooms are set in blocks and although block 21 didnt have the best view, it was quiet in the evening and morning. The sunbathing areas are vast, roomy and very clean. please do not bother to get up and reserve sunbeds as there is no need to, we moved around the various pools and did not have any issue with the getting shade or a sunny spot. The pools are lovely and although some people have said they are cold....what do you want a hot pool?? I personally am a complete wuss with cold pools and didnt have an issue with getting straight in. Yes is made you gasp a little but is that not what you want when your skin is boiling?.

The staff
What can I say about the staff.....they are the loveliest people who always have a smile and 'HOLA' when you walk past them. The bar staff try to stay strict to serve the next person which is nice to see, the reception staff were all really helpful and informative, the dining staff are extremely hard working although I think its a waste of time having a 'greeter' on the door to the main restaurant. The only issue we did have was with our chambermaid Farida, she isisted we were up and out of the room before 9am and would continually knock on until we were (neither myself or hubby are early risers due to shift work and look forward to lie ins on holiday...we didnt get them). We paid for a late check out until 3pm but were being asked at 11am when I popped back to the room what time we would be leaving (Farida was non to happy when we said 3pm)

So...the pros
The staff are a credit to this hotel.
The bedrooms are spacious
The grounds are beautiful
Numerous pools and an abundance of sunbeds
The beach...WOW WOW...gorgeous and feeding the chipmunks was fab - the steps are hard going but there are 2 sets - the ones are the far end only have 27 as opposed to the 60 on the main set.
Mojitos in the lobby bar...hummmm yummm
Lunch in the Baia - gorg and relaxed

The cons...
The germans....sorry but they do take over, Im sorry to generalise but they are loud, brash, stare at you, the german kids need disciplining and they all need to pipe down a little as no-one wants to hear them shouting to each other.
The main dining room is a free for all scrum and can start getting on you nerves as while you are trying to enjoy your food people are constantly walking past and looking at your food. It is chaotic, loud and can be very untidy.
Parents need to get their kids under control - I know this is not the hotels fault but we booked this holiday as a couples holiday and it was snoowing with kids. I actually told one spanish kid off for licking the ice cream scoop and putting it back in the icecream...yes he was just a kid but i do not want to share his spit thank you! The kids have their hands in the food on the hotplates, they are running around the dining room when the waitresses are carrying very heavy trays of crockery. As I said the parents need to control the kids before there is an accident.
The wind - boy was it windy, i personally do not mind even a strong breeze but for 4 days out of our 2 weeks we have to tie towels down, drinks were being blown over, hats were being lost etc.
The Nudists!! - they do have a private pool which we did not see so it cant be that hard to stumble upon - they are on the beach - leather looking, wrinkly, paunchy and proud! - I did not want to see any bald 'lady gardens' or bald 'acorn' looking widgies thank you! I understand that its each to there own but I just dont want to see it. (didnt see any young, fit nudists by the way).
The theatre where the shows are is very strange, its like a kids school play all sat in rows on hard backed chairs, so if its dark there is no way of finding a seat and if you do you ould end up disrupting the whole row to get to it! very strange! We decided to give the shows a miss which is sad really and instead opted for a few drinkkies in the lobby bar.

All in all I think 2 weeks here was a little long for us as the hotel is very remote but for a week, I think there would be less cons. I have scored the hotel 4 out of 5 as it is a lovely hotel with lovely staff, the food could be better.

Would we stay again...yes for a week definitely

We have just come back from club magic life, having stayed for 2 weeks from the 18th June. There was me, my husband and my 4 year old daughter travelling. We all had a fantastic time, the hotel was brilliant - it was spotlessly clean, the rooms are very large which was a real surprise. The range of food in the buffet restaurant was excellent at all times, you would definitely not be stuck for choice. There are plenty of activities going on for all ages.
The pools are lovely and there are plenty of sun loungers available at all times.
The beach is stunning.
I have no complaints at all about this holiday and enjoyed it so much I would definitely return.

We came here 4th - 18th June travelling as a couple. Have never been to the Canaries before and wasn't sure what to expect, was a bit alarmed by the landscape on the way to the hotel, it's so brown and boring! However, we soon got used to the surroundings and affectionately nick named the island Beruit-on-sea!
The hotel is lovely, nice well kept grounds, well laid out and not too big, so it's easy to find your way around.
Our room was modern and very clean, nice size balcony and fabulous sea view. We bought a travel kettle and iron as there are none in the room.
We were in block 14, the views are amazing in this block, but don't request a top floor room as the roof of this building is a sun terrace and the noise above is horrendous! Sun beds being dragged about, the clip- clip of high heels at all hours etc and at 9 am each morning there is an activity and it sounds like a herd of elephants going over, so you won't get a lay- in if you want one! A minor moan on my part but it could be a big issue to someone else!
The food was very good, lots of choice even for the fussiest of eaters. You can eat all day if you wish as there are buffets and snacks located all over the place. We tried the steak restaurant, it was nice, nothing to write home about and from what I'd heard from other guests the other themed restaurants weren't brilliant either, however it made a change. We stuck with the buffet from there on and it was always enjoyable. I was so impressed to find linseeds at breakfast, there really is something for everyone!
The wine is just for the taking, there is always a bottle on the table and it is so relaxed here no- one bats an eyelid if you wander off to your room with some.
The Plaza bar is open from 6-2, it was lively and there was always something going on. If you want a quieter drink the reception bar is open 24 hours.
We saw a couple of shows which were fun . The entertainment team work very hard and also do the fitness classes during the day. Some of the classes are very energetic, the extreme ABT looked like torture!! I joined in with the yoga and stretching which was lovely in the afternoons overlooking the sea, so relaxing.
I had a walk up the beach most days, you could walk for miles. The steps back up are a little challenging if you aren't too fit, but in general it's not too bad. There are no sun beds on the beach by the way. There are loads round the pools though, so there is no need to get up and put a towel down at stupid o'clock in the morning.
I had two minor gripes about this holiday, the first being the noise in the block and the second is the water is cold in the pools! You really have to brace yourself! One day, after a few really hot days the temperature wasn't too bad, I suppose later in the summer the pools and sea would be a few degrees warmer. The climate was lovely, nice and hot and breezy, but in the evening it does cool down so do bring a cardi or jumper. Not many mossies either which was a real bous!
Next to the gym area is the laundry which is worth a mention, you could bring half the amount of clothes as it's quite quick to use the machines and they are huge! Not that you go on holiday to do your washing but a really handy facility.
We did a few trips, one around the island which was very interesting, a good full day. The day trip to Lanzarote,( well worth getting up at the crack of dawn with a hangover from hell, the bar men are not tight with their measures! ) and we took a trip to the Oasis Park Zoo, loved feeding the Giraffes. Jandia town is lovely for some shopping and a bite to eat, you can walk it along the beach or get a cab.
We met some lovely people and had such a laugh. It must be the most relaxing holiday we've ever had, there is no rushing about to get something to eat as there are so many places to choose from, you can pour your own drinks, be as active or lazy as you like, wonderful!
Would definitely love to stay here again, well done Magic Life.

Room Tip: Block 14 for the view, but not the top floor!
