Not all bad, but loads of little annoyances. When we arrived our room wasn't ready. Not a problem as we were happy to sit by the pool. When i changed into swimming gear in the gents changing room I noticed a lack of loo paper or even paper towels. Surely not hygienic especially in the pool toilet? No soap in the room. Who carries soap? Expensive WiFi option, though it did work OK. Room was in need of updating as very tired looking but nice view as we were on the top floor (9). A few little changes and a coat of paint and it would be good value.

Room Tip: High up seems best but you have to take 2 lifts!

This place is perfect... if you are a retired German couple who does not care about local culture and just want to spend some days on a cheap sunny location without speaking anything else than german. If you don't fit the description, you might become dissapointed.

In summary: the appartments are ok for the price, so that they are a reasonable choice for long stays. Nothing special, though. On the positive side: the nice big balcony with view on the sea. On the (very) negative side: bedrooms are on the side of the corridor, and you hear the last guest going back to his/her room as well as the first one leaving in the morning. If you are unlucky enough to have a snooring neighbor, wave a good night sleep goodbye.

Staff at the reception is friendly, native German speaker who can speak Spanish and English. However, don't expect much help on the surroundings. The first night we asked where we could go get some tapas or some nice fish. After much thought, they sent us to a cheap bar that could have been in some underdeveloped suburb of east Berlin, full of drunk, tanned old germans, speaking in loud screams and laughter. It turns out there are enough nice restaurants around (go to the harbor, for example), but you have to find them, because nobody knows them at the hotel. I guess their guest are happy to know where to find Schweinbratten and Radeberger and don't care about local fist and specialities

(Don't get me wrong, I live in Germany and have nothing against Germans, but the kind of Germans you find in this town make you think about Ballermann for retired people: Ignorant, arrogant, unpolite. I was there with my girlfriend, German, and she was ashamed.)

The aparthotel is very close to the beach, which is a nice white and clean one. Appart from that, there is not much that you can do in Morro Jable, so make sure you rent a car.

All in all, I don't think I would go back to the Alameda de Jandia, but I can recommend it for somebody staying long in Fuerteventura and looking for an appartment at a more than affordable price.

We moved to the Alameda after one night of hell at the nearby Sol Jandia Mart hotel.
We were a little worried by the lack of aircon but when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised.

The Staff we LOVELY, all of them. The receptionist checked us in and spoke English which was great as the resort mainly caters for the Spanish and german holiday makers. Our room was on the second floor which we reached by elevator (unlike sol jandia Mar) The view from the back of our room was of the beautiful lava stone cliff face and the breeze was lovely, and much needed in the 35 degree heat.
When we got inside our apartment we were very happy. Although there was no aircon the room felt airy and clean. Once we had opened up the wide bedroom window and balcony door the breeze was lovely.
The bedroom was bright, clean and the beds comfortable.
A good sized double wardrobe was in the corridor between rooms and had a safe inside (E19 10 euros returned at end)
The kitchen area was large and well equipped, 2 hobs and a good sized fridge. A lovely breakfast bar and coffee maker were features and the decor was really nice.
The walls were white and the furniture bright. The 2 sofa bed couches in lounge were big, comfy and brightly coloured. the floors were clean and we had no complaints.

The bathroom was small and pokey and needed some TLC but it was clean non the less. The shower was a bit temperamental, and we had a few cold showers, however in this heat they were quite welcome!!!

The balcony was large and the outdoor furniture clean substantial. We had views of the sea but were facing on hte the Cosmo Shopping Centre . This didn't bother us really as it sheltered us from some of the sun at times and we could still see the sea well.

We loved the Alameda and were very happy. The first night was a bit of a shocker though. The bars in the Cosmo Shopping centre all compete mucis wise and the volume was crazy. We rang reception and complained that it was ridiculous to expect anyone to sleep with this racket but she said there was nothing she could do. After a while of complaining about the noise which went on til 3 am we finally fell asleep.

The next night we were dreading the same, but it actually wasn't that bad. Yes, it still went on til 3am and yes it was repetitive but once your bedroom door is shut you can barely hear it and it didn't bother us again. We even went for a few cocktails to the bars in question and the staff were lovely and friendly. We also bought a fan by this point, because although the heat was bearable in the apartment by day, it was horrific by night and was so stuffy.

The pool area was fantastic and the jacuzzi in the pool was fab. We spent many hours relaxing here and when the sun disappeared we did a bit of sunbathing on the sunbathing area at the front of the hotel, which was a great idea on their part. The pool was sheltered enough to be warm with a breeze which was great. The pool bar was often empty but the staff nice and prices reasonable.

We didn't eat at the hotel but the food always looked nice. Instead we stocked the fridge with water from the local Hypo Dino. Their were 3 within 1 minute walk from the room which was helpful . The one in the Cosmo centre did a great range of fresh bread, however late in to the holiday we found a little patisserie on the ground floor of the centre which did AMAZING homemade cakes and pastries! Worth a visit!

For food on a mainly germ/spanish resort there was a lot of choice. Our favourite for breakfast each day was the wonderful "La Sirena" which was on the parade of shops near the beach and 1 minute from the hotel. They did a full english etc and lovely coffee. The staff were so, so nice and we really enjoyed going there.

For lunch we mainly ate snacks from the Hipo Dino or sandwiches from local cafe bars (of which there are loads, and all reasonably priced) The food almost everywhere we went was delicious and well cooked.

We tried as many different restaurants for dinner as we could. Our favourites were Pizza Guayarmina (opp hotel) really yummy pizza and great prices.
Olympia, Steakhouse and another restaurant which name fails me, were a short walk from hotel down the front (past union jack and Lacoste shop) The food from all 3 restaurants were lovely and the staff friendly in all apart from Olympia. Try and go to every place you find for dinner. All prices similar and food was gorgeous everywhere!
Only places we didn't like was Pizzeria Rico (on front) and Cafe Columbia (near hotel) food not great and a bit weird.

The best way to top the meals of was with a scoop of icecream from the wonderfulu Chilli Chocolate which was on the front near La Sirena. Delicious homemade ice cream with come amazing flavours! The waffles were good too.

Most places sell yummy sangria and the bars which are dotteda round did fab cocktails. We liked Orange (the noisy place in the centre).

Other that the fantastic restaurants you'll find loads of shops selling cheap cameras (legit) and knock off designer gear. The staff in these shops are friendly but pounce withing seconds so you've been warned! You can haggle everywhere even Macy's so go for it. It worked in our favour. They are desperate for buys and will knock loads of the prices given and you can pick up some amazing bargains electronic wise.
The African market comes on a Thrusday which was good but very busy and the sellers were very pushy, but cheaper than tesco apparantly. hmmm lol.

The beach was lovely (12 euros for 2 sunbeds all day) the sea gorgeous but deep very quickly. My boyfriend went snorkelling several times and it was great fun to see the locals catching fish by hand!

There are lots of fun things to do, Oasis Park Zoo, Segways on the sea front, Aloe Vera Museum, visits to the old town and harbour. This resort is lovely!
We had a great stay in Morro Jable. The harbour, sea front, beaches etc were lovely, clean and well kept. The locals were friendly and the staff in most places were delightful.
We will definitely come again. Possibly to stay at this hotel because we loved it, but definitely to this resort because it was beautiful. Do not be put off if you are British and are worried about being the only ones here. We really enjoyed that element and it was nice bumping in to other brits on the beach who felt the same. This hotel is mostly germ and spanish people but we were fine as the only brits! It was a nice change! If you can handle the heat do not put off trying this hotel. It's lovely. Great place and a great location. Literally a couple of minutes from everything and 1 minute form the beach.

We would recommend this hotel to all and would encourage people to stay here in Morro Jable over the other more British parts of the island.

The pictures you see on the net do NOT correspond to reality. Those clean, new, wonderful apartments are not terminated at the moment (the chief recepnionist told us that). So the hotel put something fake on the net, you arrive in the middle of august (high season), you see that the apartment is old and creepy and you can do nothing then staying there.
We asked the reception for the "hoja de reclamacion" we had the right to have and they didn't give it to us, we could have called the police for that beahaviour but we found it out when we had to leave.
This hotel is NOT honest and correct!!! Bad bad behaviour!!!
