Myself & my partner stayed here for 10 nights in early August and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a very nautical theme to it, which is a nice break from the born of standard holiday hotels.
Upon arrival we were informed of all the local amenities, and given tips on where to park our car for free (there is a paid car park outside the door, a free one about 2 minutes from the door, although be warned, at the weekends finding a spot in either car park is a challenge).
We were initially hesitant to take the half board option when booking as we had seen quite a few negative comments on Tripadvisor saying the food was not the best etc.. in our opinion, this could not have been further from the truth. Over our 10 nights, we had BBQ's on 3 nights, and on every other night, the menu was new every time, ranging from 3 to 5 course meals, the meals in our opinion were always fantastic, with quality & presentation always immaculate. The waiting staff at the restaurant were very professional & courteous. The breakfast was very good also, with plenty to choose from. By the end of the trip, we were so glad we decided to take the half board option.
A few of the evenings we would had the hotel manager over to us to ask how we were doing and to check everything was ok, and to see if we needed anything, which I thought was a nice touch. We felt that the hotel were genuinely happy to have us there, which I have not felt too often at other hotels in holiday destinations. Other guests at the hotel were mainly German couples, with a few Spanish families as well, which didn't bother us in the slightest.
Overall we were very with our stay at the hotel, and would not hesitate to return again.

Room Tip: any room on the 3rd floor is a must to avail of the full ocean view

It was our 3rd trip to the island but a different hotel each year. This is the only one I felt compelled to write a review as it was such a lovely, personable and truly relaxing experience. From the amazing ocean view (all rooms are ocean view) to the lovely pool area with it's super comfortable rattan beds. The truly outstanding bit about the holiday were the incredibly friendly staff who were so approachable and always obliged any wish or question you had and the food. It was like Gordon Ramsay himself was in the kitchen. We expected to find a buffet every night but instead were greeted by a small choice a-la-carte menu that proved to be some of the best food I have eaten anywhere in the world. The ingredients must cost the hotel a fortune and I am still convined it was Mr Ramsay himself in the kitchen! Totally fantastic experience. And a big thanks for Victor, one of the waiters who made us feel extra special!

Many Thanks Beach Club San Agustin, we'll be back!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the restaurant and bar area if you like to be in your room between 8pm and...

We have just come back from a wonderful holiday spent at this hotel.....it is spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms and wonderful maid service....the staff are excellent, so friendly and helpful..I don't think it is a good hotel for children with not enough to do in the area, but perfect for couples that want a peaceful holiday......I think this should be a 5 star hotel mainly because of the food, my husband and I prefer plain food where as the food here was a la carte......although we were given something else when we asked for it..we were never charged for the change of meal.....the breakfast is outstanding, so much choice even the fussiest of eaters would find something to eat here.....we hired a car for a few days of exploring the island...but we also used the taxis which are kept to a very high standard actually gleaming,,,,,,,,and the price for a taxi is very reasonable......you don't need to take a pool/beach towel here as they are provided,,,,you have to leave a deposit but it is refunded at the end of your holiday and if you need to you can change your towel every day...you don't pay here for a change of towel as you do at a lot of places....I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a holiday where you can have a peaceful time and be very well looked after......happy holiday!!.......Lyn

Room Tip: We had a sea view room which overlooked the pools as well, I would strongly recommend these rooms...

This hotel could be so much better than it is.We have just returned from a weeks stay there booked through On the Beach. The hotel is in a lovely location right on the beach and set in its own grounds with a lovely poolside restaurant and bar. Two swimming pools and access to the beach. The sea view bedrooms have their own balcony, air con and are large and airy but the hotel is in a time warp .The bar is deserted at 10.30' the entertainment is all over in two hours and very limited and unless you hire a car or take taxis there is nowhere to go and San Agustin is totally lifeless. If you are over 65 and just want a rest this is the place to stay.
Food wise the staff are wonderful and friendly and helpful. We had one brilliant meal there the first night, but the B-B-Q was terrible and we sent it back and the replacement meal also had to go back. We were refunded the replacement meal but charged 20 euro for the B-B-q which despite a discussion with the manager we had to pay! This indicated bad management and a short sighted attitude.

My husband and I booked this hotel for a two week adults only stay as we wanted a quiet holiday. We were very pleased with the standard of the hotel, large very clean rooms, lovely restaurant and extremely helpful & friendly staff. The food was amazing, very well presented, definitely 5 star. Plenty of choice and variety. I have never seen so many options for breakfast. Something for everyone. We never had an evening meal repeated. Inside and outside dining. Nice entertainment frequently though out our stay which did not go on too late. The linen/maid service was daily and exceptional. There is a lovely handyman on sight frequently throughout the day who fixed any problems straight away. Clean Pool towels available with a deposit. Hotel located right on the beach front in a lovely position. Easy access with only about 8 steps to the beach. Wheelchair access at the side of the hotel. Varied clientele from many countries. The hotel management are obviously keen to make this a multi national hotel and welcomed any suggestions to improve the already excellent service they provided. We were definitely made to feel welcome and soon got mixing with other residents. Most residents spoke English or at least tried, varied age groups. Brilliant frequent local bus service to access the whole of the island. Never waited longer than 5 minutes to go anywhere. Tours available for various attractions advertised and booked from the reception. We made some good friends from all over particularly two from Germany who we hope to keep in touch with. Good local shops a beautiful park beside the path leading to the shops which made the stroll to the shops a pleasure. Taxis quite cheap to local areas. Canarians were very friendly and helpful. Poolside rooms were definitely best as they also overlooked the sea. Brilliant holiday.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms and rooms with sea view were definitely the best to choose. If you want a sunny balc...
