Stayed with my bf for a week at Sunprime. Didn't realise I had stayed here before when it was called Sunwing (about 8 years ago), it's like a different hotel compared to then.

Food was v good compared with other AI holidays I've been on, good choice and different choice of many dishes each night. Cocktail bar had ALL drinks included on AI which was brilliant as normally you just get the cheap lager/vodka/wine included at other hotels.

Room cleaned every day, you get to choose whenever you would like your sheets/towels/robes changed by putting them in the washing basket in your bathroom. You get a beach/pool towel as well as your bathroom towels which you can change for a fresh one for €2.50 (great if you forget to bring beach towels like we did!).

Free bus to beach was handy as it was a bit too far to walk. Taxi cost about 4 euro if you miss the last bus back to hotel.

Reception staff spoke really good English. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful - especially the lady who worked on the cocktail bar who was always smiling!

Not too much going on at night (there were acts on every other night such as a singer but it was a tad boring for us) so we went to the Kasbah centre a couple of nights and round the bars there. Also went to the Yumbo centre a couple of times where there was a drag bar with a free show which was amusing. Costs about 3 or 4 euros in a taxi to get to either places.

Three pools at hotel, one was like a mini beach type set up with sand. Always plenty of sunbeds. Very quiet as well since hotel is adults only.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel and if we were to come back to Playa Des Ingles then would definately stay here again.

at first the hotel seemed nice, however the air con in the rooms would not work properly, there were a lot of people who just came to eat and drink as much as they could, and having diner was very rushed, with a lot of English drinking as much free beer as they could.
There was no air con in the reception area, or dining areas. Our room was nice, but could not chill the room.
Food was a good standard, but people were at the pool drinking cans of beer .

We've just returned from a 7 day all inclusive stay at the Sunprime and had a fantastic time. Reading the reviews before we went I was quite excited and it didn't disappoint!
Good points - Hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff were lovely. I left my purse in the room by mistake a couple of times and there were no worries about cleaners/staff "helping themselves. The food is great and there was a different menu everyday with lots of local dishes included. Alternatively if you want pizza, chips and ice cream everyday you can!
As mentioned by some others the cocktails are included on the all inclusive and I strongly advise trying them all! My boyfriend liked the Tequilla Sunrise whilst I favoured the Strawberry Daiquiri's!
There were plenty of sunbeds all day with the option of staying in the shade if you wanted to. The shop next to the pool had soft and alcoholic drinks available on tap for most of the day.
Bad Points - There was nothing "bad" that would have put a downer on our holiday. The beach is a bit of a walk away but the hotel put on a free bus service and a taxi is less than 4 euros. (If you decide to walk there via the sand dunes just be aware that a large section of the beach is a nudist area! Didn't bother us but it's not for everyone!).
A sign next to reception advises that guests staying on the all inclusive board are only entitled to lunch and dinner on 5 of the 7 days of their stay and that these meals are not included on a Wednesday or Saturday. We were a bit miffed as we weren't told of this when booking but ate out at the Yumbo centre on the Wednesday anyway. On the Saturday I noticed people with the all inclusive wristbands going into the restaurant and asked a member of staff if this was correct....and it was! I have no idea why there is a sign saying you can't eat on these days so ignore it if you see it, all inclusive is for your entire stay!
The only other gripe I had was not really hotel related, but the other guests (who were predominately German) were extremely rude. They stared alot, often at mealtimes and appeared to have no manners at all (many of them couldn't even smile). I'm not sure if this is just something we experienced but the other English/Irish couples we spoke to also felt the same. The hotel is more geared towards the German/Dutch/Norwegian people so there weren't many English guests.
As someone else has also said the lounge/bar area wasn't greatly air-conditioned and it could get incredibly hot in there after dinner.
All in all we had an amazing time and would go back tomorrow if we could. Loved it 100%!!

If you're looking for a care-free break then this is just the place. Fantastic hotel with great service and everything you could possibly need (definitely go for the all inclusive option).

The only downside we came across was the flashing red lights of the smoke alarm situated right above the beds - didn't help when trying to get to sleep..

Other than that very minor niggle, our stay was faultless.

Me and my wife had a brilliant time at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and modern and served its purpose very well. Positive points were modern spacious air conditioned rooms all overlooking the pool, modern lounge area which housed the hotel bar, very easy to get a drink, all cocktails included in all inclusive, friendly informative staff, 3 large pools that you could stand up in no matter what end you were at which suited my wife as a poor swimmer, cold beer and soft drinks on tap that you pour yourself during the day round the pool, sunbeds galore no matter what time of day, for a hotel of its size (its not huge) a good choice of food and wonderful salads, no young children so ideal for couples / pairs, outside entertainment only a 10 minute walk away. Some negative points, if you are a beach person (im'e not) its some 20 to 30 minutes walk, the bar area was not air conditioned so could get very stuffy, the envelope that you get when you check in contained very limited information and did not inform you that your room safe would not work unless you purchased a key from reception or your room air con would not work unless your patio door was shut tight or you could have prepacked sandwiches and salads from the pool shop instead of lunch, and finally yes the entertainment was poor if you were expecting a cabaret but this was background entertainment whilst sipping your after dinner cocktails. I personally had several cocktails after dinner then about 10.30 would have a walk into town to one of the million or so bars, there are gay / drag bars, straight bars, irish bars, disco bars, quiet bars and if you cant find a bar that suits then you dont like bars. We had a fantastic night in the Hard Rock Cafe, a great time in an Irish bar called Dunes and Tunes on the beachfront a couple of times and be open minded and try Sparkles bar in the Yumbo centre which is a gay / drag bar but 75% of its customers are straight couples. Would i return to this hotel ? yes, yes and yes.

I travelled with my wife for a 10 day break, and we both loved this hotel. Overall the hotel was immaculately clean, the staff was great, and you could choose your lounger any time of the day.
Our room was nice with a pool/sea view, beds comfy, with a good sized balcony. The restaurant staff was very friendly, and more than happy with wine at your dinner table the food was lovely and fresh fruit always available.
The bar was staffed by some of the restaurant staff, and always very friendly and especially Juani/Ampero/Juan, The cocktails were available on the All Inclusive - definitely try the strawberry daiquiri.
We went to the beach on the free bus service put on by the hotel, we also walked from maspalomas to playa de ingles along the beach which was wonderful few hours but we enjoyed the peace and quiet round the pool, The gym was well equipped according to me wife who visited it on most days, and there was exercise classes All in all, we had a great time and made some lovely friends that I hope we keep in contact with each other, and would definitely return as did the other.
We would highly recommend Yumbo centre Sparkles comedy Drag bar for a laugh or if you want to boogie also try the Kasbah both lest than 4 Euros in a taxi Yumbo about half a mile on foot
