“A very good 3 stars hotel, nothing more, nothing less”
Reviewed 15 December 2011

This hotel was chosen simply by two things: it's location and it's price. It's a big hotel, and it was mostly full during the 12 nights we spend there. The decor is a bit 80ish, and so is the entertainment. The food is ok - nothing more and nothing less. The staff are very nice for the most part (One of our bags didn't arrive and they were very helpful). I traveled with my husband, and the first room we got was a big disappointment. All the usuals: a "king sized" bed that's actually two single beds, very small, and through the balcony you could see the ocean - if you could twist your body and neck far enough. The second room we got (and it took some arguing), was heaven; double bed, still small, but with two balconies, both with an ocean view. Location is excellent: 1 minute walk from the beach, 2 minutes walk from the bus station that can take you anywhere on the island (including the capital - Las Palmas - don't miss on that), and 5-10 minutes walk (or 4 euro taxi) from anywhere else.
In summery, it's not the perfect hotel for young couples, a part from being affordable, but it's not so bad. If you're planning on spending most of the vacation inside the hotel - I wouldn't recommend it. If, on the other hand, that is just you base for sleep and the occasional drink / meal, it might just work for you. Breakfast, by the way, is very very good.

Room Tip: Most corner rooms have two balconies.

Me (23) my partner (26) and our son (2) have just came back from a weeks stay all inclusive at this hotel.... The hotel has nice comfortable rooms which are cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. We paid roughly £200 per person for a week AI an where pleased with the standard of cleanliness and quality of food. At all meal times there was always something for everyone, the evening meal ranged from freshly cooked steaks, chicken, fish, etc plus a big range of fresh salad, fruits and deserts. There was a couple I things that would say and that is SOME of the bar staff can be quite rude, but they soon found there manners when my partner got rude back to them. Also the night time entertainment was not good there was nothing for my 2 year old son to do and the only music they had was soft Spanish music in the back ground. There was a kids group on site but it was more for children from about 5 onwards. There was 3 swimming pools which were freezing they my do advertise a heated pool in the winter but this was non existent. I would recommend this hotel it you wanted a quite relaxed holiday and didn't want to venture out much as most places are a taxi away unless you don't mind hiking up lots and I mean lots of steps!! All in all we booked this holiday last minute and Booked AI to be safe having a baby with with us and the main things for us was that it was clean and food ok and the both things for us where top notch! Also there is a lovely little beach 2 mins walk which is lovely and jellyfish free although if you carry on down the beach more it did have quite alot of jellyfish which isn't good if you have small children.

One last thing I will say is that it you decide to go gran canaria self catering is that it can be really expensive we paid on average for x2 pints of beer an x1 coke about 12 euro!! And for a bucket and spade for the beach £8... Also beware there are hundreds of lucky lucky men who are really rude and can be a little intimidating sometimes and African ladies selling string with beads on and. Fore you can say no it is tied on your wrist and they want 5 euro!! They wont gunk twice of going in your pocket.

Have just returned from a week at the Beverly Park Hotel (25/11/11) and quite frankly am struggling to find anything to complain about! It is "what it says on the package"! The food is good, plenty of choice to suit most tastes, the only comment I would make is that it is not always hot - but there is a microwave provided for those who wanted to use it! The rooms are a little on the small side but adequate and very clean, ours was on the road side which was a bit noisy, especially first thing the morning. There is NO hairdryer in the room so it is advisable to take your own. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were helpful if needed but I didn't find them very friendly but they did their job which is all that is required at the end of the day! The hotel is quite a walk from the main town and involves climbing quite a lot of steps (94 to be exact) on the promenade in order to get anywhere unless you want to get a taxi. All in all everything was as expected and I am struggling to find any faults, excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Try and get a pool/sea view room as on the road side it is quite noisy

Arrived back on Sunday morning (27/11/11) Had a great week and had no problems.
We had a transfer from the airport organised with lowcostholidays, but mistakenly were looking for a hotel called Hotasa, this is not now used, so look for Beverley Park Hotel behind a BP Petrol Station. There are no hairdriers or TV remotes in the rooms, so take a hairdrier. The bedrooms and landings have fitted carpets, which is strange but ok. Entertainment was ok. Food and service was amazing. Not many places to change money though, and a poor rate of 1.07, so take euro's with you. For the price, I think it was a very good holiday.

Room Tip: The higher the better for the views, goes without saying really.

We have just came back from beverly park hotel.I cannot see what all are complaining about .The hotel is clean and the cleaning staff are on the go all the time .The food was good We never found a meal time were we thought omg not again or I cant eat that there was always something good to eat.I heard a man complain about the staff attitude however I had my 4 year old g/son with us and I found the staff to be great with him even in the dining room they play with him[all the staff were great] reception done everything they could to help you with anything.you asked about. We had a room for 3 off us I would have liked a double bed for us but we made do with the singles.T.V has only 1 english speaking channel and it is the news.
The only fault i can say is that there is not a lot round about there is nothing much for kids to do.
I would highly reccomend the italiano coffee bar at the Yumbo centre .Although the prices at the centre shops are horrific!.
also there is a great tattooist in the tropical shopping centre and he is really cheaply priced.

Room Tip: Try for a sea view they get the sun most of the day.

We've been there in last week of November 2010. The sun goes down at around 4pm and you need a jacket, as it is a windy place (good place for windsurfers).

The food is just good, plenty of choice. Plates are clean ;)
Everything looks good. Many salads, many fruits, good taste.
We are focused on food and we are picky, but we were very satisfied.
Especially for this price (it was the cheapest offer on the market at that time).
So, the food is a big plus.

Other pluses:
- it's a clean place
- it's easy to rent a car on the other side of the road - then it's easy to get to (and from) the highway. You can't get lost.

Neutral:
- staff doesn't speak English at all.
- cold water in the small pool.
- most customers are pensioners (it's a quiet place), but it's not far away from the loud centre, so you can walk there.

Minus:
- service is not the best, (but we didn't tip, so probably it's a reason..)

Overall, I do recommend that place. I would go there again.

terrible terrible hotel! if i would have paid 1/8 of the price for a week in this hotel with only clubbing on the brain, i would not have minded, the fact that it was the same price as the 4* amazing hotel i stayed in last time made it completelly unacceptable........ants everywhere (and we were on the seventh floor), lifts very slow, rooms extremely small, rooms only cleaned every 3 days which is great after youve been to the beach and have a very sandy bathroom, food, honestly- disgusting, could not eat anything. no suitable drinks for children, only fizzy (which is watered down) when i asked the lady behind the bar what drinks they have for children she ignored my question and actually started pouring a coke, i stopped her and said no "what drinks do you have for children?, juice, cordial? anything other than water?" she continued to poor the glass of coke. after i snapped at her abit and said it extremely clear to her that i dont want a glass of coke and what exactly do you have in the way of soft drinks as i dont want my 2 year old drinking coke, she rolled her eyes and opened a cupboard behing her with a can of ice tea. (not much better) i think they were hiding those for the paying guests.all drinks were watered down, spirits, beer, soft drinks, everything tasted terrible. not a child friendly place at all, my child was sat on a couch while the husband checked out playing with a ball on a piece of string (not another guest in sight to bother) and was shouted at by the woman on reception. we were given a tiny room with three single beds, as there were two adults, 2 young children and one newborn (all of which paid for and payment accepted by the hotel, one month prior) we simply could not all fit in. they agreed to bring one cot up to the room but only after we argued for half an hour. which meant our 2 young boys had to share a bed, not a problem if we hadnt paid for them both to have a bed. we were told we were only "allowed" to have the cot for one night and the next day they would have to take out either the cot or one of the single beds due to fire hazards, which would of meant the two children would have to share our bed for the whole week. disgusting. after one very uncomfortable night sleep we demanded a refund and found a beautiful 4 bedroom villa in the mountains with an amazing ocean view, private pool, no neighbours and no rude reception staff shouting at your children, all for £200 cheaper than what we paid for beverly park, all in all the hotel was very unpleasant in every way.

Room Tip: try a different hotel, dependant on season (change of prices) you can get a room at costa meloneras...
