“Enjoyable”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

I spent 11 nights at the green field and overall enjoyed my stay. Despite the area surrounding the hotel appearing to be pretty run down, which was not obvious from brochures/reviews etc, there was no problems in finding amenities locally (around a 5 minute walk). The rooms were ideal, clean, well equipped and good air con. Only downside to accommodation was that we were situated on the top floor (8th) and waiting times to use the lift were pretty long. Food was good... breakfast ideal, lunch was pretty much the same each day and dinner had some variation. As a fussy eater I found the food pretty repetitive however there was plenty to choose from. Reception staff were very helpful and maids were lovely.
There were plenty of sun loungers surrounding the pool and it was never a problem finding 6 together. Pool was great and a good size for the number of guests. Only downside to the hotel was the petty rules for all inclusive which never seemed to apply for the Spanish, ie bring your glass back to the bar before getting a new one, by the pool only one drink per person ( despite giving numerous to the Spanish person before you in the queue).
Overall I found the hotel to be an enjoyable stay, the rooms were perfect and there were no problems, a short walk to the beach and shops nearby. Area surrounding the hotel seemed to be a little rundown however made no difference to the holiday.

Room Tip: Ideally would prefer a front facing room or a pool view, however, we had a room on the side and had...

Where to start my wife and I were here on a 1 week holiday for her birthday 1st holiday without kids so we're looking for some place fun but relaxing ,we were given a second floor room facing the pool which was fine kept clean everyday apart from a Sunday then one day the maid came really late and we were in for the afternoon rest and she didn't bloody coming back rest of the holiday , she also put things in the bin that she shouldn't of touched , room was ok nothing fancy , pillows and bed were rock hard would of had a better sleep on the sun bed at the pool asked for more pillows(soft ones) these were given no problem. We were all inclusive for the week and we're told when arrived about breakfast , lunch , afternoon snack and tea. We often went in to bar for a coffee in afternoon and there was never any snack nor was this offered , breakfast was ok good selection , lunch was rubbish more like a evening meal, evening meal was a bit of a hit and a miss we had two good meals out of seven and ended up having to go out few times cos the food was rubbish. Staff were so unhelpful all over never had smiles on there face apart form one member of staff in the bar at night. They were so rude served spanish guest before anyone even when in the line at bar before them , drinks more or less thrown At you when they did serve you. The hotel was full of Spanish elderly guest . Around the pool entertainers two girls who only ever spoke to the Spanish also , only ever asked spanish to join in activities and when Brits did join in it was spoken in Spanish, again very RUDE.
Area of the hotel looks very run down nothing really around the area apart from Irish bar , and Mexican these are both good.
Beach is 5mins walk. Plenty sun beds around the pool but again the Spanish take over the pool area.
Night time entertainment was again very very poor all done in Spanish squeezed in to a very small bar with a little tiny out door space no of it was fun , bingo , Spanish dancers , fashion shows , singer, karaoke. All in doors , not your normal holiday entertainment. You has to take you glass back to the bar in order to be given a another drink.
Lots of bus loads of older Spanish guests arriving daily must add the were so rude thought the ruled the restaurant many times I had there plate in my back again the just don't want to wait in a line like everyone else
Overall this hotel should only be for Spanish guests as doesn't entertain British at all. Would not recommend this hotel and would give it 0* this is no way for family's nothing for kids to do NAND far to many rules kids wouldn't be able to have fun

Room Tip: Our room was facing the pool very quite at night nice during the day but sadly didn't get any su...

This hotel is one i will never be returning to -which is a shame as the location is lovely, near shops clubs, pubs and short walk to the beach but all that is completely over shadowed by the fact the staff are rude and unhelpful, we were always served after all the locals (it did not matter if we were there first ) the bar staff all seemed to hate their job none of them could even put on a pretend smile and were more interested in talking and serving the locals rather than hotel guests.
a special event was held during our stay which meant the bar was closed ,we had paid all inclusive yet we had no where in the grounds to go and enjoy our evening and had to pay at a nearby bar instead (which in 32 degrees going without already paid drinks is not ideal !!) we had no notice and were not warned of this or given an substitute .The special event was a party by the pool obviously very noisy which went on until the early hours of the morning which again was not ideal .
on many times a member of staff had said we were too loud and our rooms had had complaints yet he could not tell us which room was ours (we knew he was lying as we hadn't made any noise and were hardly in our rooms or we were asleep but apparently talking to a few other British guest staying they had all been warned the same - it was uncomfortable how the staff had taken a quite obvious dislike the the british !
Add this to the fact afternoon tea is advertised with all inclusive yet didnt happen ,the hotel has a million silly rules e.g bring glass back to bar before getting a drink , no food allowed out of the restaurant -even when half way eating a banana we had to wait at the door to finish it before stepping over the exit and escaping yet another staff member who clearly hated her job , the rooms had cockroaches , jumping spiders in the beds and worm snake things in the showers .the beds are rock hard - and food although edible very bland although can be expected with all inclusive !

lovely clean hotel, bar staff are fab, especially tammy, she,s a little star !! entertainment on a night left a lot to be desired and i definately wouldn,t take children, they would be bored stiff, there,s absolutely nothing for them to do !! pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and umberellas, aqua aerobics everyday and frequent fashion shows. a suncare specialist walks around daily giving advice which was really helpful as my hubby always gets prickly heat, bought her reccomended lotion and hey presto.....no prickly heat...result !!! our room was facing the pool, was gorgeous, no noise at all, apparantly the rooms on the front are horrendous for noise and especially early on a morning when all of the spanish guests gather to go on trips from hotel entrance. all in all an enjoyable stay x

Room Tip: double room overlooking pool ( 237 ) perfect

This was my third year stopping at this hotel for Gay Pride. The check inn staff were helpful. The room was ok, we had a studio room for two people. The view was from the 7th floor which was amazing.
The beds were awful, the pillows we're so rock hard they hurt our necks. The sheets weren't changed regularly and we found on a few occasions having to ask for fresh towels and even toilet paper.
Pity as these little things make a huge difference to your stay.v
The food quality has gone down. Yes their was always something but ended up paying to eat at mulligans at the front entrance.
All inclusive was ok, but again some of the staff were really rude with the one drink per person rule even though all of us in my Hugh group were all inclusive, even asking for two sort drinks was to much for some staff.
Rude, it's not like we was asking for huge quantities of drinks at a time. Some staff were great and remembered me from last years stay.
Overall I would no longer recommend this hotel, me and my Hugh group shall be staying else where for Gay Pride 2015.

A quick thank you to the old tavern bar ladies they really made us laugh!

Over we had a great holiday. So thanks for that at least, re focuss on the little things I.e cleaning and service.

My wife and I went to Green Field Aparthotel on 5th June 2014 All inclusive. Hotel and rooms always kept clean. Bar staff very friendly. If your room is in the front of the Hotel it gets very noisy in the night till about 2am from the bars outside of the hotel. Food ok but for all inclusive it is the first hotel we have been to that when the restaurant closes or if you don’t feel like going to the restaurant there are no snacks for all inclusive by the pool bar.
There were lots of elderly arrogant Spanish people staying there. Entertainment was a load of rubbish only for the Spanish where they take all the table and chairs but they never buy any drinks. (PLEASE BE MINDFUL IT IS A PUB NOT AN ENTERTAINMENT AREA) When it comes to 10.45pm bar staff told us that the manager told them not to give drinks unless we take back your empty glasses. If you have children please don’t go to this hotel as there is nothing for them to do in the day and there is no entertainment for them. Ok the beach promenade is close walk but you either walk down 95 steps or go down by the lift to the beach.
Would we go again YES BUT NOT All INCLUSIVE only there to sleep as you definitely don’t have value for money.

Room Tip: Don't go All Inclusive

Stayed for 7 days all inclusive wide range of drinks including cocktails! I personally enjoyed love on the beach and pinã colada but there's a wide range, staff are nice I personally liked Tami as she was really good at both English and Spanish. Food was good wide range and EDIBLE! swimming pool was amazing, plenty of sunbeds. There's also a naked saloon on the 8th floor if you like that kind of thing and a ordinary saloon on the 3rd. Overall amazing

Room Tip: Go for a large studio you get a big room with a massive balcony, if you don't like noise I sugge...
