After a long flight and late arrival we had a lovely quick check in. Paid
For a safe €3 a day plus deposit. Also paid €25 for the Internet use later discovered this only covered the use of one tablet. You can't log out and log on to another.
Our room was lovely and new. lots of room. No bath just shower. The room was clean but only when we arrived. The room wasn't cleaned properly during our stay. Also apart from the day we left the room was always cleaned after 3pm which was a nuisance.
The dinning room was lovely and big... Although always far too hot and quite unpleasant. The breakfast plentiful queue for coffee and juice was always long with people not knowing how to use the machine. The queue for eggs was always far too long and served by a grumpy chef.
Ate once in the pool bar and was unremarkable.
Dinner was like a charge of the light brigade. We ate early as we have a toddler. So when the door opened at 6.30 the stampede went right over us. Food was tepid and either over cooked or under cooked. No great starters was looking forward to nice fish or avocado. Everything was covered in mayo. The meats were cooked to an inch of uneatable. The STEW didn't look tempting and not in that heat. My main gripe was nothiing for children although if you asked they would cook a pizza or nuggets. One evening a plate of 32 nuggets were placed in front of my 3 year old. Lol.
Saying all that you could always find something. Drink not too expensive a large glass of wine and a bottle of beer €5.
The mini disco was great but started way too late 8.30 for toddlers. My little one was exhausted by the time it started. Only lasted 20 minutes then bed. Although we could hear the rest of the entertainment as the shows were held outdoors.
Kids club was good 3-5. Always started late which was annoying but facilities good and Zoe a lovely girl.
The pool areas 2 very small paddling pools for children. Large family pool completely shaded and squashed together sun beds. Would loved to have used the adult only pool lots of sun and nicer pool. No cabana beds as shown in brochure.
What really bugged me... One evening while being trodden on entering the dinning room. My husband very smartly dressed in shirt and 3/4 length trousers. He was turned away and told to put trousers on. He didn't have short shorts on. Compared to other guests he had a dinner jacket on. I mean I've not seen shell suits and track suits like that since the 80s. Also full head to toe leather outfits with chains. Anyway what more to say.
We did a few trips the maspalomas water park too expensive 55 for 3 entry then 3.50 for a sunbed. Everything was extra extra.
The moonlight cinema was lovely great fun for the little fella.
We did the boat trip to Mogan nice morning out. Expensive though €75. Would have taken the bus.
The beach in maspalomas was amazing €3.50 for a sunbed umbrella included.
Found the sand in playa de ingles black and dirty. Really not much in the resort.
Have stated in barcelo hotels worldwide and found this one slightly disappointing for the amount of money we spent to stay here. Would we stay again prob not but the world is a big place with more places to see.
