Just arrived back from this hotel which was not our first choice of accommodation, we were overbooked & should have stayed in Puerto Rico. The bungalows were very nice & kept clean, the food was very good but the desserts were the same every day. The beer served seemed like it was watered down or did not have much alcohol in it !!! The pool area was also very good & had no problems with the sun beds. As far as the entertainment went this was terrible, maybe the children enjoyed it but as four adults over 50 there was nothing enjoyable about it, the poor reps I am sure tried their best but they could not sing or dance and it was unbearable. we did try to find outside entertainment but we were sent down the road to some bars but not our cup of tea as it was full of gays !!! not a very nice experience let me tell you. If you are a family with young children I am sure this complex would suit you, but not adults without any.

My family and I had stayed here for 2 weeks in August and I must say you couldnt fault it.. our children aged 17,15,8 and 1 all had a great time. We stayed self catering which suited us better which meant that we could eat whenever suited us. The complex was spotless and for the staff they were very friendly and did anything to help when asked also it a great place for young children as come 11pm the compex is so quiet for them to get a good nights sleep. We def' recommend it and will def' book to return back!!!

Room Tip: stayed in 110 which was great as a 1min walk either way to both pools which was great

Overall Stay was brilliant large pool area, good food and entertainment.

Would really recommend!

Room Tip: All rooms are bungalows really nice and compact there wasn't really a noisy area.

The 2 bedroom bungalow was perfect for us with 2 teenage daughters. Very spacious and clean, maid service almost every day (they work so hard in the heat and always cheerful). We decided to take the self catering option for a change and with the 'Yumbo' centre just 10 mins walk away, this suited us. We had a huge choice of restaurants with varying prices, pays to shop around. All very friendly and happy to adapt dishes to exclude meat (we are all veggies). It comes to life at night with a very entertaining drag scene, a free comedy drag show had us in stiches but not for the faint hearted or easily offended! Very good atmosphere with a wide spectrum of visitors from young families to elderly couples with everything in between. Our bungalow was situated approx 2 min walk from both pools and the only downside is the 'towels on sunbeds' problem. We soon learned that the staff turned a blind eye to it and it was a case of 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em'! Many people (usually brits) were poolside at 1am to make sure of a sunbed the next day. We returned from nights out on several occasions to see other holiday makers 'mission impossible' style, creeping around the pool with towels, quite funny to see and became part of the holiday. As we were self catering, the kitchen area was important to us and we were not disappointed, full size fridge, a two ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and even a coffee machine. It was very pleasant to sit on the patio with a morning coffee watching the 'all inclusives' trudge to the restaurant to stand in line school dinner style, as with everything though, each to their own. There are two Spar's within 10 min walking distance offering everything you need, fresh bread rolls, croissants, fruit, veg, salad and an extensive drinks selection - both soft and alcoholic. Much cheaper to buy local sangria in 1ltr bottles than from bars and restaurants and just right for an aperitif before an evening stroll to the restaurant. All staff were very friendly and any problems dealt with swiftly (we had a faulty ceiling fan and it was replaced immediately). The grounds were spotless and well kept, lawns watered every evening by sprinkler. Very flat and easy going for pushchairs etc. We took the free bus to the beach a few times (approx 15mins) which made change from poolside (and saved us fighting for sunbeds). It cost 15euros for 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas for the day and there were several bars along the beach front selling freshly made baguettes etc. All in all we had a fantastic holiday in a very friendly relaxed hotel/resort. Would highly recommend to both couples and families alike (kids entertainment every day and evening, poolside and disco's etc).

Room Tip: Poolside bungalows can be noisy and overlooked by pool, some are by roadside but there is a perimete...

I chose this hotel as we are a family of five and the idea of bungalows with 2 bedrooms appealed to me. I wasn't disappointed. Our bungalow looked directly onto the smaller pool with the splash area and had a lovely big patio with table chairs and 2 loungers.

The living area was a decent size as were the bedrooms with lots and lots of storage. Never felt cramped in here (apart from the kids room where there appeared to have been a wardrobe explosion, but that's not the hotel's fault!!). Great self catering facilities too, even though we were all inclusive it was nice to be able to make tea/coffee toast etc, although when I tried to give my son his weetabix we noticed we had no bowls, so had to give it to him in a cup?? Not a major problem and I'm sure the hotel staff would have supplied them if we had reported it.

Lovely grounds, everything is lovely and green and we loved the little white bungalows everywhere, just looks really picturesque. Everywhere is spotless, really couldn't fault the cleanliness of the place at all. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels were changed if you wanted them to be. You can hire the beach towels if you don't have space in your luggage, by the way.

The comments on here are correct about the sun loungers. Our bungalow was right by the pool and sometimes we would be sitting outside around 12.00am enjoying a tipple before bed, and see people coming over to put their towels down then! To be fair, these people were at the pool first thing anyway, all day. It's the ones who have towels down and don't even come to the pool which is annoying, but hey, if they're not there, they won't be needing their towels will they? Chuck em off!! You snooze you lose.

The staff at the hotel were super efficient. After many holidays abroad I have unfortunately come to expect surly reception staff. Not here! I must have spoken to about 5 different reception staff and all of them were super helpful and jovial, and impressively spoke at least 3 languages.

The all inclusive option gives you breakfast, continental breakfast after breakfast has finished, lunch, snacks and dinner plus ice cream and drinks. The food choices are very varied, although I am a vegetarian and unless you wanted a salad there wasn't a massive choice of alternatives to meat. Having said that, i certainly did not go hungry and everything I ate was delicious and well cooked. The food is constantly replenished and always hot and can't fault the staff here as they were always on the go. I did get fed up going to the same place and it's a bit backwards and forwards to get your food and drinks and trying not to bump into people, but that's just my personal opinion on the ai option. i do like trying different restaurants.

The thomas cook entertainment was a bit naff but that said, the entertainment staff were so enthusiastic and really put their all into it. My daughter loved it, just wasn't my cup of tea really, my husband and i left her to it with her friend and went upstairs to stop our ears bleeding from the singing lol. Could not fault the staff though, they were great in the kids club too and really work hard.

I found the area surrounding the hotel a bit strange. Although there are bars and shops nearby (spars aplenty here!!), it's very much also a residential area so you have grids of 4 lane roads, roundabout, more roads, roundabout etc. So although you've got bars and shops, you feel like you're walking down busy main roads, rather than the usual feel of a holiday resort. The Yumbo centre is about a 10 minute walk and is massive, lots of shops and bars on the ground level. I know what people mean about the bars there, you get to a section which is catering to the gay community, and the lighting is darker and it feels a bit wierd simply because of this. My 11 yr old daughter looking at the bars asks me: "What does fetish mean Mum?" er.........lol. Definitely did not feel unsafe though at any point in any area.

Mini Golf at the Yumbo was fab.We went to Puerto Mogan one day on the public bus, definitely worth a visit, lovely little fishing port. We also took an evening trip to Maspalomas, around 5 euro in a taxi (although we had to get 2 as there were 5 of us), which was also nice, a bit more upmarket and more expensive, but a nice prom by the beach to walk along and lots of restaurants and shops.

All in all I really was impressed with Parque Cristobal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I just wish it was in a different location, but this wasn't a huge problem and shouldn't put you off. Great hotel!!

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at Parque Cristobal, Excellent holiday had by all our family 2 adults and 3 children ages 6,10 and 13, we didn't want to leave. The bungalows were very clean and spacious, The only fault was it was hard to sleep because it was too hot air conditioning next time. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic with lots of choice. The kids enjoyed helping themselves to drinks and ice cream. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming, They also had themed nights Asian, Mexican, Italian, canarian and bbq. The pools were fantastic and the kids loved the water park and the water slide. We would definitely return.and would definitely recommend. ENJOY!!!!!!

Room Tip: Air conditioning is a must.

Many bad points:-
1) Not enough sun loungers and parasols, the ones that were available were reserved with towels by 7.30 on a morning.
2) If you don't go all inclusive and you use the restaurant the staff treat you like a thief. They make you feel very uncomfortable as if you are trying to eat for free.
3) Staff aren't very pleasant. We were a party of 3 and when we arrived we had 2 pillows. We asked the maid several times and didn't receive any extra pillows. In the end we contacted reception a week into our holiday and we were told all rooms have 4 pillows. Ours didn't and we were made to feel like we were asking the earth for wanting a few extra pillows. We were told we would have to wait as they didn't think they had any spare! Eventually got extra pillows a few days before the end of our 2 week stay.
4) If you book self catering take your own tin opener as we didnt have one.
5) The area around the hotel is very dirty.
