“Grate stay over all”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Stayed her with a friend all inclusive for 7 nights. Lovely place, stayed in a lot of hotels an apart hotels in my time but never stayed in a bungalow complex an I have to say having tried it out id be requesting a bungalow complex for my next holiday having our own patio an little back yard to just relax on was just amazing. There was a lot of children around so if your looking for a break away from kids this isn't the place to be it's very family friendly, all the staff are lovely too really friendly, food wasn't that grate thou. Mite have just been us being fussy but we just didn't find anything we liked, there's a lot of food put out was never short but it was all pretty tasteless, wifi around the complex is grate just goes off as soon as you enter your bungalow witch was a bit frustrating at times but as the location of this place is so grate we where out most the time at the yumbo centre grand canaria is such a lovely place plenty to see an do. There trips from the hotel an a bus every hour to the beach but the beach is only a 15-20mins straight walk so we walked it in the glorious sunshine over all was an amazing holiday an we would deffo stay again an may I recommend doing the sea cat boat cruse it's 50€ each an you get your lunch an all soft drinks an alcoholic drinks free it was an amazing 5 hour trip.

We have just returned after a great week at the Parque Cristobel, we went with our son, daughter-in-law and Alfie aged 9, Finlay aged 6 and George aged 4, we all had an amazing time and as grandparents it was great to see the childrens confidence grow each day thanks to the staff and their friendly atmosphere, even the domestic staff always had a friendly smile and even a lollipop for the children, the restaurant manager who is a double for Robbie Williams couldnt do enough to make sure our stay was perfect and as for the Thomas Cook team they were all brilliant, Thanks especially to Alice, Mollie, Mark and last but by no means least Lauren. We would not hesitate in recommending this resort to anyne especially if travelling with children. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday see you soon. P.S Thanks to Sally in Thomas Cook Witney for recommending it to us.

Room Tip: The bungalows are all located around one of two pool areas and the site closes down at 2300hrs so is...

Stayed between 300614 & 140714
Positives ;- Staff were in the main helpful and polite the food was fair to very good at times 4 star The Pool was clean and fairly easy to get a sun bed. The entertainment provided by the Thomas Cook & Hotel teams was very good.
Negatives;- Unfortunately the accommodation lets this complex down badly it was poor and in desperate need of upgrading. Paint chipped of the walls with furniture which was seventies style and worn out placed to cover it. The air conditioning system which at one stage was leaking down the walls forming a large indoor pool on the floor and which led to black mould on the main bedroom wall. It also started to make an unbearable noise waking us up each night so having paid a premium for it we were unable to use it for the majority of our stay despite several complaints and visits by the repair staff who in the main were not too interested.
All inclusive drinks were limited as the only containers that seemed to be available were 125ml plastic or 500ml paper coca cola cups which leaked. Having seen a member of staff make up a drink and give a pint glass from a cupboard full of them to another guest in the restaurant I asked for one so I could have a beer and was told I would have to use the paper cups from the outside bar. This gave the distinct impression of different levels of service to different guests.
I would rate the room as a two star.. The complex four star.

Room Tip: Avoid Bungalow 184 its awful

We stayed here from June 26th till July 5th, 2 adults, 3 kids, First impressions of the Parque Cristobal was wow! The outside and reception are was beautifully decorated so met with a good first impression., it didn't take long to book in and we we're off to bungalow 43, this was situated further away from the main areas but near the smaller kids pool so suited us perfectly, we didn't upgrade to the aircon and although a little muggy at night the fans did their job, the kitchen was equipped with a spotlessly clean fridge, kettle, coffee machine toaster and hob, perfect when travelling with a toddler and young kids.

The food in the main restaurant and the pool bar (kids ate lunch here almost every day, hot dogs, burgers, salads, spaghetti bolognaise and salads followed by as much ice cream as you wanted) was more than enough. The restaurant selection, which was displayed on the worlds largest iPad just outside the restaurant, was outstanding with plenty to choose from. Local dishes, salads, as well as the usual fare the fussier diner would find difficulty complaining about (we all know the English would be lost without chips, roast beef or chicken) and lots of beautiful desserts. We have to say our favourite was BBQ night on Friday nights, we got to experience this twice and all I can say is you have to try it! (Unless you are a vegetarian, you will still have a great choice from the restaurant)

Beer, wine, sangria and fizzy juice was on a help yourself basis, any other drinks you had to ask at the bar, Mojitos, Piña Colada, Vodka, Baileys....(tried them all) there was never a queue but sometimes you had to wait for staff as they would be helping clear dinner service, but you could have a self service beer while waiting, so no big deal.

The Thomas Cook staff and the hotels own Acttiv Animation team worked hard to keep everyone entertained, starting at 10.30am at the big pool where there would be a few dances, games, bingo etc till 11pm when the evening shows finished, (every day except Mondays) the nightly shows we're fun and kept not only the kids but adults amused for a few hours, we didn't use the Thomas cook kids club but we used the one run by the Hotels Acttiv animation team at the smaller kids pool, Macarena and Bas where a godsend and genuinely loved their job, our girls we're very upset to leave them behind.

The grounds are kept spotlessly clean, gardeners out every day cutting grass or cleaning up leaves etc. The rooms are cleaned 5 days out the week. There was upgrading work ongoing but we didn't hear anything. Staff in the restaurant and bars we're always busy working, even the manager was serving at the bar and clearing up tables, all with a smile on their faces!

Look out for the resident bunny rabbits, kids will love them! (Although the first time we saw them at 11pm we worried the rats on Gran Canaria were HUGE!)

I can't recommend this hotel enough, we are hoping to come back next year and I already can't wait!

This was our first family holiday abroad so a big thank you to everyone at the Parque Cristobal for helping us make some great memories.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic, if you can upgrade to air con do it but not necessary, I can't imagine...

Great place to spend a weekend with the kids. Love the Bungalow concept. Right out the bungalow onto the pool.
The food was also great but the service provided was truly outstanding. Every employee cared for us as if this was a 5 star resort.
If you are able to afford full service, it is worth doing. Food and drinks all day.

We have just returned from one weeks stay with our five year old son + friends. We arrived late and were pleasently surprised to have food laid on for us on arrival. Our bungalow was clean and had everything you needed. It was lovely having our own private terrace with Sun loungers and patio furniture provided, we also had WiFi in our room. The food was excellent and was much better than we had expected, there was always plenty of choice. The staff can't do enough for you especially the manager who on the last day sorted it out for our party to eat early so we could have our tea before the transport came for the airport. The entertainment team were excellent they work really hard to make sure you have a good holiday, kids club was excellent as well my son James really enjoyed the chocolate party. We are going back next year it's already been decided.
