My partner and I were delayed in Gran Canaria due to the volcanic ash cloud in May and ha to find four nights accomodation. Having stayed at the Marbella Golf Apartments for the previous week and having been very glad to leave the disgusting place we booked into this complex. It is clean, comfortable, and well maintained everything our last place wasn't. When we return to the island again we will most definately stay here. We had stayed on a self catering basis and the kitchen was very well equipped, but would maybe go all inclusive next time as the only day we had the buffet breakfast there it really was first class. Woud happily recommend these apartments to anyone thinking of going.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Parque Cristobal and have had a fantastic time, all the better for the mix of nationalities, much quieter than the all British hotels which we find to be too much " in your face" beautiful bungalows, well maintained, lovelly surroundings, our kids 11 and 16 got on extremely well with the German and Dutch kids, I wish our daughter had gone there before she took her German GCSE this year, food is good with plenty of choice and theme nights 4 times a week, evening entertainment isn't brilliant but then there is always Yumbo !! just around the corner, friendly helpful staff, didn't need the Thomson reps although they are in a hotel 5 minutes walk away, would go back there again

its true First Choice didnt stress that the hotel wasnt heavily used by English in summer - there were lots of German/Dutch/Spanish/Italian families, very few English/Scandanavian/Polish and there was no rep on site but available on demand, the hotel reception were more than adequate and helpful in all instances. we felt the the standards in this hotel were very high throughout including the behaviour of all its visitors, people were well dressed and and generally quiet and respectful of each other, the animation team work very hard and were pleasant but it can be difficult to feel welcome/join in when activities are dominated by speakers of a different language. we found plenty to do in and around the area at reasonable prices and thought the all-inclusive bar could have been better staffed in the evening and the smaller bar should not have closed at teatime on sundays (???) but was well stocked and included cocktails, a number of childrens games and sweet machines were out of order for the duration of our holiday which seemed strange but didnt detract from this beautiful hotel which would be very well suited to disabled or less mobile visitors.excellent value for money, excellent food, secure location, quiet at night, courtesy bus to beach (5mins)laundry on site, sunbeds at your bungalow and poolside - fabulous time, breezy and cool at night.

The bungalow and location of it were exactly what we asked for by the pool and the rooms were very clean. However we felt let down by thomson who failed to inform us that this hotel prodominately catered for german tourists and very little was written or spoken in english ,i was glad my children were older because they would not have enjoyed the kids clubs. Our flights were not until 1:05am and the hotel refused to give us a late check out and at 12 noon they cut off our wristbands and told us we had to pay 25euros each to eat dinner,i paid for an all inclusive holiday which to me means from the time i arrive until the time i leave but i only got six and a half days all inclusive and felt that the agents and staff gave bad customer service and showed no interest in our queries in a manner that they had our money and no longer cared about our holiday. Also we had asked for extra pillowsat the start of the week they said they would come and never did and my husband found a small garden snail in his peas shell and all and when he complained the waiter apologised and picked it up an put it in the bin , not the best thing when you have paid in advance to eat there for your entire holiday.

When i read the reviews I didn't know what to expect as they were mixed, but i wasn't expecting what it actually was! The apartments were perfect, always clean and tidy when the maids came. The pool area was fantastic, not too loud but not too quiet. The bar was fabulous and so were the barmen! The staff were all so friendly and made me feel very welcome! The food was varied every night, and it was brilliant. The area where we stayed was never dull, there was always something to do. I would definitely come back if I could! Absolutely fantastic hotel.

We have just returned from Parque Cristobal and found the accomodation excellent. The bungalows are very spacious with lots of room around the bungalow. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English.

The TUI reps were all very friendly and their entertainment in the evening was always great to watch. They are mainly from Germany but all speak English and they recognise that many of the guests do not speak German.

Lots of choice with the All Inclusive and although the ice-creams are not part of this deal, they did provide free ice-cream for an hour each afternoon. The free bar closes at 11pm so make sure you get a few rounds in early.

Our children (6 and 3) went to the Kinder club most days and had a wonderful time. There was never any problems with communication.

My only gripe was the wi-fi zone. The signal is quite weak and I found it difficult to connect, with the connection dropping every so often. However I was using an external network card which could have contributed.

If you are looking for an all English complex, then look elsewhere.

I researched this holiday very thoroughly (relying heavily on trip advisor!), and finally chose this hotel for its low level bungalows, 2 roomed family rooms heated pools and good reviews, as well as affordability. As it was only 3 star we still did not have very high expectations and so were massively pleased and impressed when we arrived: lovely rooms, high quality facilities, good food (we upgraded to all inclusive on arrival- good decision) sense of space and quiet.
There was free wifi in the bar area, and the hotel was only a short walk to a shopping centre that was fun for a wander in the evenings. We did get spectacularly lost walking back the first time: what a relief to hail a cab! Taxis are plentiful and easy, and usually only about 3 euros around Playa del Ingles.
We took a taxi to the dunes one day (had fun spotting 'Nudies' with the kids!) and flew our kite. Plenty of wind but we did get rather grit blasted!
We did not take any organised trips (expensive!) but hired a jeep (47 E) and toured the island which was fun. Loved Puerto de Mogan- very elegant and pretty, and the lively promenade at Maspalomas in the evening- kids loved the living statues!
We took the bus to the beach a few times, if you turn left and walk to the next bay (10 mins) its much nicer. cleaner and prettier, backed by bamboo and pretty vegetation. Look out for big lizards sunbathing on the rocks!
Hotel was VERY german, as other reviewers have said. We did not mind this, but kids club could have ben a problem if we had hoped to use it. most staff spoke enough English to help us out and were friendly, if overworked. I'd say this must be one of the better hotels (certainly for the price) in the area...
