There's really not much going on here
I've been visiting playa for years and the Cita is slowly dying

It seems quieter than ever now
It's ok for the shops but that's about all

In the evening it's just as quiet and the restaurants aren't that good from my experience

Restaurants, Bars, Shops and Supermarkets great. Good for the traveller staying in an apartment. The prices are good.

It doesn't look too grand in the daytime but at night there are many great restaurants and bars and the place really comes alive. The only downside is that many bars and done restaurants don't have their loo so you have to use the public ones which aren't the nicest. I would avoid La Perla Negra restaurant at all costs. It offers seemly cheap food but it was disgusting. There's loads better places.

The Cita was probably better 10 years ago. Many of the units, particularly to the lower floor are vacant which is a pity. The cafes and restaurants offer reasonable priced food for self caterers who do not want to cook! Gift shops are typical of anywhere. Much smaller than the Yumbo and more for swingers at night rather than the gays.
