the good- location, everything you need is on your doorstep from restaurants to bars shops and beaches, plus a small selection of sex shops whatever floats your boat. the bad-pool area very clean but sunbeds chained up till 9.30 am everybody hanging around like a bad smell, room 166 not a proper balcony, its ok if you are all midgets. if you like wildlife then the abundance of cockroaches will put a smile on your face. the ugly- the cost of this hotel 4* I don't think so. seriously though rooms ok if facing pool, food good varied choice with plenty to choose from. staff friendly, hotel very clean but sunbed area needs looking at as beds chained up till 9.30 also hotel operates no cash policy and on arrival you are asked for your card details this does not suit everyone as I personally like to take cash on holiday. overall our holiday was really good as you make it what you want but not sure I would call hotel 4*

Room Tip: if you are not happy with room, ask to be moved and stand your ground especially if you are given room 166

Just returned from two week stay at La Siesta. Very very clean Hotel..efficient check-in..room clean and airy..air condition included in hotel price and not an extra. Mini bar in room 25euro bit expensive for what you got. Wi.fi problem with connection in room. All staff so polite and friendly especially bar man at bar where entertainment takes place he was so speedyand always knew our order and room number he was a legend. Entertainment brilliant acts each evening...we did have a problem on a couple of nights no seats at terrafe available...maybe this could be improved? We were full board. Food was ok. Just wished more of a variety and maybe more for children ie chicken nuggets/burgers without sauces? It seemed to be same puddings maybe small ice creams in individual cups? If we were to go again it would be bed and breakfast basis as we skipped many of our paid for meals due to us getting bored of eating same foods so had the expense of eating out. Great pool.cleaned every day to a high standard.
Great location this is our second time to Tenerife and due to location we learnt that we could walk alingvthe beach left or right to reach Los Chrisianos n Adjeje. Just he careful...we got roped into spending a few hours being told we had won a prize to being taken to collect same which turned out to be a timeshare sales pitch!!! Stay clear of Diamond Resorts reps!!!! Who make out they work for Thomas Cook!!!!!!!
All in all a very enjoyable holiday and yes would recommend La Siesta

The hotel overall was good and would give it a 3 half star.
on arrival check- in was fast and the staff were very friendly and even changed room straight away on request for an balcony. The room are impressive as they are quite big with big shower bathroom. The cleaners worked hard rooms and hotel was spotless! all the staff were friendly. the hotel is situated in the heart of playas las de Americas walking distance to the beach, shopping centre, restaurant and nightlife.
The down side was the food that lets the hotel down. For a veggie the food was poor, on request we told the manager who did act promptly and made us pasta pizza, but everyday all I ate was chips! as pasta was available but no other veggie dish made. they knew there were vegetarians so they should have made an effort to have made different dish everyday. One of the days we had pizza but felt we was eating finger foods. Another day they did make a spinach cheese sauce dish which was very nice and actually enjoy eating there on that day. we veggie don't just eat chips salad and pasta. for a four star hotel if they know there are veggie they should provide proper dishes. meat eaters would not eat the same meat or same dish everyday so for veggie a different dish should have been provided for us too. overall standard food better off having bed breakfast. positive side breakfast was nice I enjoyed it everyday.
Most waiters were friendly, two waiters made effort to talk to us and made us feel welcomed shame didn't catch there names but they worked hard and were friendly.
Wi-Fi should have be free and when did pay for no connection in the room. some signal around reception area.

We were part of a large family group (16 adults and 5 kids) and stayed at the La Siesta for a holiday to mark a special occasion. Many of the group have stayed here several times previously.
Food first:
Breakfast was excellent and we were all very amused to see Brussels Sprouts on offer!! - on the downside the coffee from the machines is poor.
Dinner was not quite so good, nothing really wrong with it just a bit same old, same old by the end of our week.
On the couple of occasions we swapped Lunch for dinner we found the quality to be a little better.
Personally I feel that nowadays free drinking water should be included with all meals, being charged 2 euros a bottle is a bit of a liberty.
Poolside:
A beautiful pool with excellent facilities - but is it not time Hotels like this got to grips with people reserving sunbeds that they don't use?
Entertainment:
Pretty standard stuff - daytime activities, kids disco evening cabaret Etc. - the 'Magic Park' for smaller kids was fantastic.
Overall the Hotel has a lovely ambience and is spotlessly clean.
The Hotel is in a superb location for beaches, shops, transport links, bars restaurants and nightlife, but not too close!
Some concerns:
The speed (or rather lack of it!!!) of the service at reception which was always very slow.
The wifi was poor and only really worked in the public areas of the hotel.
Personally I have stayed at this hotel 6 times over the last 5 years - and I'm a little bit disappointed not to be recognised.
To sum up - all of our party said they would definitely stay here again - what better praise can there be?

Just returned from La Siesta on Thursday, this is our second visit to this hotel in 9 months, location and facilities are perfect for our needs. Hotel is clean, restaurant has plenty choice and staff are friendly.

Pool area is busy, but is cleaned every morning and sunbeds are locked until 9:30 at which point it is a bit crazy, if people used the beds when they were at the pool there would be plenty for everyone. Fortunately the early birds left around 4pm when we were looking for a space.

My only suggestion for improvement would be increased staffing in Magic Park so children would have access to arts and crafts material. Magic park was open from 10am to 6pm but only staffed from 12 noon to 13:45 Tuesday and 11:00 to 13:45 Wednesday to Saturday. This was an improvement on our visit in October when there was no access to the arts and crafts as the Magic was not staffed. It's not that the entertainment staff weren't doing anything, they were always busy with waterpolo, snooker, darts, water aerobics etc. but my children are 3 years and 6 years so not really suitable for them.

Just to clarify we has a fantastic time.

Room Tip: If you are concerned about the view book and Alexandre
