I recently stayed whilst working as a nanny for a British family on holiday. I was delighted at the excellent facilities and staff, particularly the kids club staff :-) I'd stay there again any time with the kids and recommend it as a fun active but peaceful well located hotel. Julie wright

Just back from a week's stay. Hotel is a little tired and dated but spotlessly clean. Our room was basic pool view and fulfilled our needs. Bathroom was large and very clean. Would recommend you take own hairdryer one located in bathroom of little use. Full entertainment, kids club good family hotel with access to adjoining hotel Cleopatra Palace which is rather quieter and sedate. We were bed and breakfast plenty of food but got food not particularly hot and catered more for Spanish guests than English. Enjoyable stay recommend for families.

I stayed here with my wife and best friends who are another couple. It was our first time in Tenerife so we didn't quite know what to expect. On arrival the hotel looked outdated from the outside due to its sea blue painted front colour.. but once we stepped inside it was impressive. Having arrived early we had to wait for our rooms until 2pm (which was normal and not a problem), they gave us welcoming drinks and held our luggage so that we could go and explore the hotel, it was also the perfect time for some lunch so we were able to easily walk across the hotel where there are a number of great restaurants with a good selection. (Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Steak Houses, etc)

Once we got our keys we were happy to find that our rooms were next to one another and more importantly we had nice clean rooms with a balcony and pool view. You have to pay to open and use the fridge but it was minimal like 2 or 3 Euros a day. The hotel is huge as is the lovely swimming pool where you can order drinks to your sunbeds via ‘Blade Runner’ (One of the staff on his roller skates). You can also use the hotel next doors pool which was a little quieter if you want to get away from the busy area. The beach is accessible from the back of the hotel using your room key to get in and out of the secure gate.

There’s plenty of breakfast choice in the mornings, fresh omelettes made to order and unlimited drinks of Cava too. The hotel caters for all – couples, groups, and families with young and older kids. We booked breakfast only so went out to eat at lunch and the evenings. Near the hotel there’s Harrys bar for cocktails, nice Italian food at Mama Mia’s and Bianco’s, and also a good Indian restaurant called Love India if you like to spice up your taste buds.

If you want to venture further out then taxis outside the hotel will take you to Veronica strip for under 5 Euros. If you go there a great place to visit is the Beach Club, it’s at the end of the strip – a fantastic trendy place for drinks/food on the beach front with clever lighting and superb furniture and decor.

We had a great time, staff were all friendly, hotel had good facilities and is in a very good location with lots of shops, restaurants, the beach on your door-step and we would certainly go back again.

Room Tip: Request a Pool view room. The restaurants around the hotel give you discount flyers which will gi...

First time staying at this hotel, although been coming to the resort for many many years.
Staff all helpful, lovely pool area and communal areas. We had a suite on the third floor. No where to put wet costumes out to dry on balcony. Rooms dated, disappointed in this suite as expected a lounge area separate but just larger room with a sofa , big balcony would have been nice to have a couple of sun loungers as well as the usual couple of white plastic chairs. Food in hotel acceptable. Really did not like the fact that there was no bar where the entertainment was in the evenings. No atmosphere at all in the hotel during the evenings, everyone must go out, shame it would have been nice to stay in and enjoy this hotel experience. Saw two people sitting at an outside bar one evening and two people only watching some music in a ground floor room without a drink as the bar is on a different level.

Room Tip: Road side rooms noisy, pool rooms have better views, however they are dated

stayed there for 8 nights at the end of June. The location of the hotel is great. Nice swimming pool and the staff are friendly. The food is also good. We had breakfast everyday and either lunch or dinner which were also good.

As for what I didn't like, first of all the rooms haven't been refurbished for many years. The TV in the room is so old I hadn't seen one like that in 15 years or so.

The mattresses are old and you can totally feel the springs. No mattress topping either.

You don't have anything like tea or a kettle or cutlery in your room and if you need a plate and a set of cutlery in your room there is an €8 charge!!!!!!

You have to pay €6 per day to use the gym, you have to pay to use the net cafe.

You even have to pay if you want to drink WATER at lunch or dinner which you have already payed for!!!!!

I have been to many hotels around the world and have never experienced anything like this.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your opinion.

I´m sorry to read that some aspects of our services and facilities have not been up to your expectations.

We are aware of the need of a room refurbishment that we intend to carry out soon. However, top mattresses are available under request and we are changing the Tvs on the superior room for flat screen ones.

Most hotels do not offer drinks for free during meals, unless they are all inclusive hotels.

Please, accept my deepest apologies for the inconveniences.

Our Hotel Sir Anthony, within the same resort, offers tea&coffee facilities and has been fully refurbished recently. I suggest you to visit our web page where you will find more information and pictures.

I hope to have the chance to welcome you again at any of our hotels. Do not hesitate to contact us for anything you need.
