The hotel was very clean it was cleaned evrey day, me and my partner whent for a week and we really liked the hotel and the room was in very good condition, the staff was very polite and very helpfull the only problem was the hill going to the appartment but it was only 4 euros to the town centre from the hotel, you have got Aqualand 5 mins away from the hotel which is mint, for the price that we payed i was really happy with my stay i would recommend this to anyone me and my partner really liked our stay, it was dear but that is because of the euro rate as it is not so good at the minuete the pool is massive and it is very clean.

We were there from 19-26 May. The apartment was dated and could do with being freshened up, I assume this goes for the rest. I thought it a bit small for 4 people ( me, my partner, a teenager and a 6yo) but we managed. Having said that it was comfortable. The kitchen and utilities were clean and as we only ever had breakfast in the apartment it was more then adequate, but the kitchen was equiped should you decide to cook a meal.
The pool was great. Other reviews have complained that the pool wasn't heated. I've never been anywhere in Canaries where the pool was heated and it's a blessing that it's not, it was a welcome release from the heat. Couldn't get my youngest out of the pool.
Javier, who worked at the pool bar was friendly, warm and welcoming. A great guy and when he wasn't there he was missed.
We went to Aqualand, which is a ten minute walk away ( there is a Spar supermarket just a little past) really fun day out. The children had a great time. The Dolphin show is great.
You'll see a guy touting for Ben's restaurant with a minibus, dont bother. You dont pay for a holiday to eat what you can get from the local chippy. Sorry Ben's but ..........

I went to tenerife with a friend for 1 week at the end of January '09.
The flights and apartment were booked seperately so it was not a package holiday.
On arrival we were told that we were being upgraded to a one bedroom apartment as there were no studios left.
A one bedroom apartment is definately the smallest you would want. The walls and floors are quite thin - could constantly hear the early morning activities of a couple upstairs!!! They had a squeeky bed!!
The apartment was very clean on arrival and the maid came everyday to tidy.
Bathroom was clean and reasonable however there wasn't always hot water in the middle of the afternoon.
The BIG problem with these apartments:
It is on a large slope/hill.
So much so that the people in the room above are actually on a ground floor to them i.e. The apartment buildings are split into 2 storey buildings descending down a hill to the large swimming pool at the bottom.
There are a large number of steps to get to every apartment so this should not be recommended for people with prams/buggeys or older people who struggle with steps.
It is also a good 15 min walk (for fitter people) downhill to the bars so either expect a lot of walking or get taxi's.
Summary: Good apartments, shame about the hill.

This place is a health hazard. I must have crushed 10-15 cockroaches walking to my room as we arrived late in the night, but anyway here we go:

1, Hotel room had dead and alive roaches.

2, Bed side cabinet and other furniture was falling apart and flaking away.

3, Room was not cleaned before we arrived as there was still hair in the basin.

4, Beds consists of 4 thin metal legs, thin chipboard base and a 4" sponge mattress.

5, Shelter homes are cleaner and better equipped.

6, General condition and decor of the entire complex is reminiscent of the 80’s

7, if you are foolish enough to heed these words do not go all inclusive if you have very young children. Infants are not included for food and drink and this will need to be paid locally at normal restaurant rates. Young children must always be present to show there florescent irremovable band for drinks or food which means if you have a family of 4 then you must all go to the bar to get served and can only order on item at a time. The all inclusive menu is very limited with no ice cream etc.

Needless to say we checked out the following morning and drove to Play De Las Americas and checked in at Hotel La Siesta 4* which is a great hotel.....

Me, husband and 4 friends stayed at Laguna Park 2 for 7 nights 19-26 May.

Before we flew out, I emailed the reception asking them for a sea and pool view. They replied within a couple of days advising this would not be a problem. I was delighted when we arrived at our 1 bed apartment which had a stunning sea view and right at the pool as promised.

Fortunately for us we had one of the more modern apartments and was very clean. The maids came almost every day. We had our bed sheets changed a couple of times during the week (although one day I put the do not disturb sign on the door...one too many cocktails the night before!!). We stayed in rom Q06.

Our friends (further away from the pool in block O)) had a sea view also, but their room was a little dated! Cracked tiles in bathroom and tatty curtains etc, but again were clean enough.

The pool is lovely and again kept very clean. My only complaint of the pool is that its salt water and very cold, but once you're brave enough to take the plunge, its rather nice once you get used to it.

We stayed All Inclusive and, much to my husbands horror, were given bright pink wrist bands to wear for the duration. On our first night at the restaurant, we were not impressed at all. The choice was quite poor and the food looked like it had been lying for a few days! On our second visit (thought we best give it another chance), we took one look at the food and flies swarming over it and decided to eat out for the rest of the holiday.

During the day we ate at the pool bar (we were allowed soft drinks, local beer/spirits, toasties, burgers chips etc) where it was much better! Javier (the pool barman) is lovely and friendly.

The only downside to staying so close to the pool was that we were woken at all hours in the morning by a crowd of young guys having a dip after their nights out!

The room was very warm, so we hired a small fan for 10 euros but still felt we had to have the varanda door open to let some air in.

On our last night, we were woken at 5:30am by a cat that had chased a cockroach into our room and under the bed! Quite funny thinking back on it. I turned the light on to be greeted by a big fluffy grey cat who decided to purr at me to win my affections!! Needless to say, my husband showed it the door!! The cockroach decided to stay and die!

All in all we had a great holiday. We found the staff pleasant and the room clean. We werent expecting much as its only a 2 star. The resort itself was lovely. I recommend going to Verde restaurant (food and service great). Also the bars down at the beach front are nice for a drink whilst listening to a singer or watching the sea. St Eugenes bar and Temple bar were also very good for a sing along and a dance.

Laguna Park 2 IS NOT a place to stay if you have walking difficulties. The walk from our room to reception to get out took our breath away when we were lugging our cases back up. There's no ramp and quite a lot of steps!

Dont know if I'd stay there again due to the hill (get a taxi home at night!), would rather be more close to everything.
