stayed here for a week in sept. couldnt say a bad word about this hotel. the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were basic (you get wat you pay for) and clean, cleaner left clean towell every day. the pool area is quiet as it is an adult only hotel. we never ate the food in the hotel so cant comment on that. the loacation is great just a 3 min walk to the beach and a 5 min walk to veronica's strip. I would defoo recommend this hoetl to friends and if i go back to tenerife ill be staying here again.

We arrived at this hotel not expecting great things due to the price we paid. Our allocated room was very dated and looked as though it hadn’t been touched since the hotel had opened. The first night in the room was horrendous. The traffic noise from the motorway and the duel carriageway directly behind the hotel was unbelievable and went on all night, and then there is the bus station where the buses are left ticking over from around 5 am. We asked for a room change which they agreed to at an additional coat of 30 euro this room had been updated and was further away from the traffic where the noise was not as bad, being on the top floor we also had a better sea view. The plus points about this hotel are that the staff were pleasant and the room attendants were good, with the room cleaned and towels changed daily. As far as location goes this hotel is ideal for exploring the area with good public transport and the sea front 5 minutes walk away. Negative point is the traffic (it is bad if you are in rooms 100-113, 200-213, 300-313 and so on up to 900-913.

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a room on any floor higher than 13 ie 114, 214, 314, and so on

We stayed at the Bonanza September 22nd to 29th. The rooms, as you have probably read elsewhere are a little dated but they are very clean and functional. The maids were in every day although two days only the towels were changed. This was no problem as they did a great job on all of the other days. The staff were fantastic and very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We were on the 7th floor and although we were told we had a garden view we actually had a great view of the sea. The pool was the cleanest and clearest that I have ever seen The pool is separated by child restraining bars (they used to have kids at this hotel but now its adults only) and the water in the main pool is about 4 feet 8 inches at its shallowest to about 8 feet 6 inches at its deepest. Beyond the Restraining bars it is about knee deep, ideal for non swimmers to cool down. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that but, the pool bar does great snacks at reasonable prices. I have read somewhere that it is not suitable if you have walking difficulties but the truth is, the only problem is the short driveway from the road is a fair slope but only about 15 yards or so. You can access the pool through the restaurant and there are 3 or 4 steps down to the pool area. Be aware though that the poolside toilets are down steps. Other than this you will have no problems as there are two lifts to all floors and once down the driveway its pretty flat on the short walk to the seaside. All in all we had a fabulous week and would stay there again. You may find one or two people that will complain but as I always say "If you want 5 star then bloody well pay for it" This hotel is what it is. Clean, well placed and cheap.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better views

We stayed in a studio appt for a week from 2nd September.
Our room was spotless clean but in need of some small repairs i.e. the shower didn't stay up in the holder and toilet didn't flush very well. The hotel is very dated but we new this before we went, so it wasn't a problem and for the price we paid we couldn't complain at all.
Antonio on reception was an absolute star and very polite and helpful. The maid service was also spot on, our room was cleaned every day and to a very high standard.
The hotel is in a good spot and close to everything you could want or need.
The only problem was the amount of broken sunbeds. If they were replaced with new ones that
had a back rest, the pool area would have been perfect.
For some reason the coaches won't take you to the hotel, so you have to walk up hill from a nearby hotel.
As long as you remember that this is generally a budget hotel then your holiday will be lovely.
Would I return? for the price we paid, most definately.

Dear guest, We would like to thank you very much for your review about your stay with us. We are glad to read that almost everything was great for you and that you enjoyed staying with us. With pleasure, I will inform our staff accordingly. I know they will be very glad to know that they had done a good job. As for the bus, we understand that this will be arranged in a short time. About broken sunbeds, we are a bit surprised at this, because it´s the first time we ever received this kind of comment. Nevertheless we will look into the matter. Indeed, you are right the Bonanza has an excellent price / quality ratio. For all that, we strongly hope to welcome you again during your next holiday to Tenerife. Olivier Doche Manager

Myself and three friends stayed in this apartment complex in August 2013. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was small and basic but we didn't spend much time there and the price was good. It had two single beds and two pull out couch beds. What was good about the complex was that there were no children about and the pool area was never too busy so we could always get a sun bed. It was mainly young couples that seemed to be staying there. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't try the food in the complex.

The complex is located up a hill approximately a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk from the strip. It is in a quiet area. However if you are walking beyond the strip to go to the Dubliner bar or to the more classier area of Las Americas where the nice restaurants and shops are you might want to get a taxi. Walking is approx 20 minutes but you will be harassed by the countless number of reps and lucky lucky men walking through the strip. They get very annoying after a few days. A taxi will cost less than 5 euro.

The only down side to the location is that our transfer bus didn't drop us outside the complex. It left us down the hill outside another hotel. We were then told to go to the same location for pick up on the return journey and the bus never showed.

We stayed here for 11 nights in June 2013 after booking a budget holiday. The hotel was basic but clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. We got exactly what we paid for and the location for the beach, shops and bars/restaurants was ideal. The hotel is a little bit dated but for what we paid, we cannot complain. The pool was clean, plenty of sunloungers available, towels changed daily and bedding every other day. Would definitely return to the Bonanza and would certainly recommend them to family and friends who are seeking a cheap and cheerful hotel.
