“Could be better.”
Reviewed 2 May 2012

This is a good hotel. But it could be better.

Rooms are large, bed is wide and comfy, bathroom is large and good. The fridge is empty, besides a few small bottles of water, which are sometimes replaced, sometimes not (but are added to your bill). We had a room with ocean view on the 3rd floor, which gives a nice view, and some privacy when sitting on the nice little balcony. Countless shops and restaurants are just around the corner. Breakfast is the most extensive I've even seen, absolutely perfect. Did not try diner, as it is only buffet-style, which I like only for breakfast. Free wifi works good, also in the rooms. Not very fast, but good enough for email and newspages.

The spa is nice, good massage, but nothing special.

But, the pool area is not that great. It's more like a market square with as much beds per square meter as possible. The pool itself is really cold (nobody was swimming) and the surrounding area is very slippery.

And you have to pay extra to use the gym (€ 5 per day, or € 18 for a week).

It's nice for a few days, but I wouldn't want to stay a week.

Room Tip: Get ocean view.

Just got back to a very wet Ireland from the lovely hotel Cleopatra Palace.. it was a magic 5 days for us as usual.. it is so clean and the staff are fantastic, there was a small problem of the hand-basin stopper getting stuck,, we didnt even have to report it as the cleaner did and the man came and fixed it straight away,, so thats the kind of service u will get there..
The towels for the pool are 15euro deposit, but are a great size and soft, u get ur deposit back ,, the towels in rooms are great also..
The trip was a birthday present for my hubby,, they put ballons , champagne ..and choc's in room on 2nd day and wine ect next day so we felt really spoilt.. it is very quiet and peaceful at night so no bother sleeping,, and there is every sort of choice for breakfast,, you walk straight onto the Beach or strip,,its really fab,, and thank you once again to all there who made our stay perfect,, roll on december so I can make it our 10th visit in 5 yrs.. Cheers ..Regina Howe, Suncroft , Co. kildare..

Room Tip: All of the rooms are perfect.

Stayed here on honeymoon in november last year in a top floor room with splash pool. Everything was fantastic, but didn't think I'd be back anytime soon as it was quite expensive.but got a deal last week in 2 adjoining ordinary rooms with 3 of my friends- staff every bit as attentive as before . Food at breakfast was fab. Staff even gave me VERY hot water as I HATE cold tea! Location can't be beaten. All things considered, we preferred the cleopatra to the Sir Anthony- the staff were lovely and showed us around all 3 hotels. The Sir Anthony 's rooms are much posher- beautiful, in fact, but the Cleopatra's pool area etc is the best. We paid under 3 euro a day for the use of the fridge, and got a kettle on request free of charge - this is all free in the Sir Anthony, but it is a much more expensive hotel. You can pay 15 euro for a beach towel which is refundable if you don't lose the towel! Only problem with this hotel- it has spoiled me for other hotels as i'd rather pay a few euro extra per night to stay on the beach. Can't wait till next visit.- perhaps I can persuade hubby for an anniversary treat some time!

We stayed at the hotel in April 2012. The hotel was in a great location close to very good shops and plenty of place to dine out. The hotel staff are all helpful and make sure your holiday gets off to a good start. our room was really nice overlooking the pool area. there wa one night they had a party night we thought it was going to go on till the early hours but all the noise stopped at about 12 midnight. we used the spa on the last day and found this area in need of some TLC it was also very overpriced. I would stay again but i would nook a room with plunge pool they look great.

Room Tip: Visit Garibaldi restaurant just down the road opposite the H10 Conquestador Hotel it is a lovely pl...

We had a great seven days staying at the Cleopatra Palace Hotel last January, the staff on arrival were brilliant, the room overlooking the pool and lounging area was fab too as was the close proximity to local amenities like shops, restaurants and the beach with promenades to all areas including Los Cristianos and beyond and back towards other facilities, breakfasts were best.

Room Tip: We stayed for a week in January to escape the winter in UK, it was hot, met by friendly staff, we ha...

This was my first stay at the cleopatra, after many visits to Tenerife I had always wanted to stay at this hotel, And I was not disappointed.
As soon as you see this hotel it has the wow factor.
Being able to use the faciliities in both the cleopatra and med palace added varity to the holiday.
The cleopatra was more aimed at couples rather then families.
The rooms were basic, not as luxurious as I'd expected but I wasn't disappointed as they had all we needed and were spotless......I was not there to spend a week in my room, I would recommend a room with a pool view!
The pool area was really well looked after, I also thought that the prices at the pool side bar were reasonable for a hotel, same with all the bar prices.
There is soo many restaurants around the area, the Italian oppersite was the best Italian food I've ever had.
The location is right on the beach and the beach is lovely.
The breakfast variety was vast, and there was plenty there for all nationalities.
I would recommend this hotel and will be going back myself, next time id pay the extra for a room with a plunge pool on the reception side of the hotel as you get the sun all day.

Just a tip if you book don't bother taking a beach towel, everyone around the hotel hires

Very happy with all elements of the hotel, reception staff very nice and received a glass of cava whilst checking in. Breakfast choice was amazing with live piano playing in the back ground. Did not try any other meals. Pool was wonderful, sunbed area well kept. Room was usual size, bed was massive with plenty pillows, mattress a bit on the hard side but not a problem, shower was strong and hot. The hotel is in a perfect location for both the beach area and the shopping/restaurants across the road.
