HD Parque Cristobal Tenerife
Reviewed 5 June 2012

Arrived at the reception slightly early, they told us our bungalow wasn't ready but we could have another and we ended up with a big family one between two of us. This was obviously good as we had more space but the balcony got no sun what do ever, it had no room to sit on it anyway and unlike other bungalows we couldn't sit in front of ours as we were 1st floor.

Nice pool area, full of children, only managed to get a sun lounger 1 day out of 7 as, even though it states this is not allowed, people would get up as early as 6-7 to go and put their towel down then go back to bed and this got increasingly frustrating.

All staff were extremely friendly and all had a smile all the time and enjoyed a laugh with everyone especially the bar man.

Food was a wide selection and was very good, a lot better than all inclusive places I have been before. Wide selection of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic.

Resort was pretty clean however my partner reported cockroaches in the ladies toilet near the bar, room was cleaned most days however cleaner didn't even bother coming on the last 2 days and we were lift without toilet roll and towels.

Entertainment was OK, certainy not the best but not the worst. The main guy was very funny and tried his best however the others looks half hearted compared to him. Bit repetitive with the same annoying song everyday around the pool and same dance at the same time. Night time entertainment was the same, mediocre at best, one night some people braught in birds and took pictures of them with people without telling them it'd cost 30€ then he got really worked up with people when they wouldn't buy them and was hassling everyone.

Resort as a whole was very good, very clean and cheap enough. Plenty of British bars, and nice places to sit on the beach front. Things for families to do and also for people who want to go out there's a strip not far from hotel with bars and clubs on.

Overall parque cristobal was very good and we had a great time, just a few things I think they could do to make it even better.

The resort accomodation was spaceous in the family appartments. We arrived late to find that the bar inclusive had finshed at 11:00 and a buffet of mussels, chick peas, ham, cheese had been left out for the late arrivals. We did not eat as it was covered in flies and not chilled. There was no water or Tea in the room so we were told to go to the 24 hour supermarket to stock up. Not what we had in mind after traveling all day. Staff were not helpful on arrival even to show us where we could get Tea and coffee or refreshments. On entry to the appartment my wife screamed in the toilet as a great big cockroach was sitting in the sink. We were not impressed when we went to bed and thought we had made a big mistake in booking here. Next morning we went for breakfast which was excellent and spent the day at the pool drinking cocktails. Pool is fine with bar next to it. The free entry to SIAM Park was excellent and we spent 5 days there. Free bus shuttle to the park every half hour. We ate out a few times as some nights we did not fancy any off the food on offer, and kids found the selection of hot dog sausages every night not very appetising and ended up eating chips mostly. Also the place was very busy with folk charging around and kids everywhere. Eating out was cheap and of good quality. The first choice team were excellent but the reception staff were not that friendly.
We will not be going back and will look for a better standard of place to stay next time

Room Tip: We booked the family appartment which is a 2 storey block of 6 units and not a lot of room or sunshi...

just returned from week in this hotel, well equipped spacious bungalows, exceptionally clean and close to all amenities. only negative was that i had my 21 month old grandson with me who managed to get out of the bungalow without us knowing as the lock, although locked from the outside, was able to be opened inside by just turning the handle.. when i reported this, was told that for security purposes they could not do anything about it... at the very least i felt we should have been told as he had travelled quite a way and was not far from the pool when we caught up with him... had to barricade with chair and coffee table for remainder of holiday.

arrived 4th may had bungalows 22 and 59 which were very close to each other which was what we requested my son and his wife and 2 children were in 22 and we had 59 both bungalows were well equipped and spotless. The all inclusive package was very good value with good choice of food and drinks on tap till 11pm which on a family holiday is late enough in my oppinion. The hotel is located in a great location and we never heard any noise from out side the resort. We took advantage of the free bus and free entrance to sian park and can reccomend the day out to any one, over all a great value for money holiday and are allready thinking of going back next year.Take a look at lots of revues and form your own oppinion but remember you cant please every one all the time and there will allways be the odd one that do not have a good time

Room Tip: bungalow 59 is detached and close to the pool noisy frm 10am to 6pm withkids in the pool but nice an...

Well the resort itself I liked but the things in it ... The entertainment was poor everyday the animation team would do the same dance everyday and the same time on stage and the activities were ok but my daughter was very disappointed. One minute she is too old for one activities and the next she is too young and that was for all of them she didn't even get to do one activity! The rooms were good but the beds were terrible, was up most of the night not being able to get a good sleep ! Would certainly NOT reccomend this resort to anyone.

Parque Cristobal is excellent value for money. The bungalows are clean and well maintained as are the pool areas. It is in the centre of things but doesn't suffer from noise. The staff were all really pleasant and helpful. All in all a very good choice, I would definitely go back. There are plenty of fine places to eat and drink within a short walk - but avoid Veronica's at all cost unless you like drunken lowlife! Magic nightclub, Monkey restaurants and everything at Safari.

Just got back from a 4 day stay at the Cristobel with 3 friends. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, apartment 66, which was in a great location, practically next to the Reception area and a stones throw from the pool and restaurant. We overlooked the road but didn't hear any noise.

This resort is a great location, 5 mins from the seafront and beach and right in the thick of the bars and restuarants, plus a 10 min walk from the main entertainment areas of Veronicas etc. But you are far enough away not to hear it!

I would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.
