Just back from a week's AL holiday from 8th - 15th June 2012, hotel in great location, great food, big rooms and the entertainment guy Ritchie was a great laugh I am sure he spends all his time in the hotel :-) Well done to him xx

The only issue I have is the sunbeds, guests queue in the morning when the gates open they run (like the old boxing day sales) dump the towels on the beds and then you dont see most of them all day so the beds are empty. Think the hotel needs to look at this issue and make guests aware that this will not be accepted.

Was good good to see the holiday reps eating in the hotel - I knew then the food was good lol.

Hope to be back in this hotel later in the year :-)

Room Tip: If your looking for a quiet room then ask for one that does not face the pool area - we had a great...

We stayed at the Parque de la Paz in May this year, the complex was pretty modern and very clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious and clean, although basic we wouldn't have expected it to be anything else for the price. We initially booked half board but upgraded to all inclusive after a day, the food was good with plenty of choice, not gourmet but again I wouldn't expect it to be (unlike some people who seemed to have thought they'd booked in at the ritz!). There was good entertainment on each night and the resident entertainer Richie was a nice guy who kept everyone entertained without being too in your face. All the staff we're generally great and helpful, and they always kept the tables cleared and the eating areas clean.
The location of the Parque de la Paz was great too, right in the middle of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas and only 2min from the best beach in the area Playa Vista. There is a large designer shopping centre right next to the resort and the atmosphere on a night time round there is great, if you want the more lively night life it's only a 5 min walk to the strip of bars at las Americas with Veronicas etc.
All in all I would definitely recommend the Parque de la Paz for a family holiday or a get away for couples.

my first impressions of the hotel were great! the main lobby area was nice but as soon as we got took to our rooms it was awful everywhere was dirty, i found a cockroach in the corner of the kitchen there was sand on the sofa beds from the last people had stopped there and had been to the beach! and they also were rock hard! the bathroom needed a real big makeover and after five muinits of being it the shower the water went cold! to be honest the pool was quite nice but needed to be alot bigger. The food is VERY BAD everything was frozen apart from the breakfast and the man that fried the eggs smashed them all everyday! there was no choice either! The puddings were full of water what shows they were frozen too!! but there is a good point, the entertainment was nice and the staff are friendly! this was in August 2011 it might of changed by now but i still wont go back!!! PLEASE DONT GO THERE!

We stayed here 01/06 - 08/06, and had a great time the rooms are good sized and everything you need is there, as mentioned before the shower and towels could do with updating

All the staff were friendly and the cleaners never stop keeping the hotel clean, we were A.I and the choce of food at meal times was very good, we always found sunbeds and prefered the area away from the pool as it can be a bit noisey at times around the pool,
the night time entertainment was also very good with different shows on offer, the karaoke was not our thing but all in we had a great time

Please remember this is a 3 star hotel

Room Tip: pool view rooms are good

Stayed in the Parque La Paz for a week with my girlfriend in June 2012, and had a great time. No complaints at all apart from you cant take a ball into the pool. Other than that it was brilliant. Food was always nice with plenty of variety, drinks were easy enough to pour and get to, with friendly bar staff. Entertainment at night was always a good laugh with Richie, who always made it worthwhile going down for, and was different every night so it suited folk of all ages, including the kids who he always got involved. Overall he was a top guy who made the evening entertainment fun and enjoyable and definitely worthwhile going to. The room was so spacious and had a great big balcony that always got the sun. Had no complaints with the cleaners or hotel staff in general, just a little ignorant at reception at times when phoning for a taxi. Ideally postioned for the beach and main strip, with a few good pubs just round the corner for later on in night. Will definitely be going back in the future!

Arrived at the hotel to be left waiting 40 mins at reception was a bit chaotic 2 people behind the desk only one assisting new arrivals - didnt bother us too much though and had a good first impression as the reception area looked spotless.

Room was ok appeared spotless at first also, although once settled started noticing it was quite shabby lots of broken tiles stained sheets etc but again didnt bother us too much, We asked for a pool view and we got a pool view although it was not our hotels pool was slighlty annoyed by this as speaking with other people we had booked our holiday before and they got a pool view (quite glad in the end though as i'll explain regarding entertainment) Room has 2 sockets one in the bathroom one in the kitchen - should maybe think of putting an extra one in the bedroom. Beds are rock hard so be prepared. Showers weren't to bad as in that heat not many people want roasting hot showers cant complain ours were never terrible.

would advise anyone heading here to TAKE YOUR OWN TOWELS for washing the hotel ones we had were absolutley REVOLTING!! kept smelling a horrible smell and cudnt work it out until my partner was sitting beside me draped in a towel that smelled of what can only be discribed as if it had been passed about the hotel for everyone to wipe their bums and bits with we also had very badly stained towels but luckily my partner had brought his own. We had a good ten cockroaches considering we were higher up the building.

I have no idea what hotel the person saying the entertainment was great and different everynight was staying in because clearly wasnt Parque La Paz - the "entertainment" was the let down of the hotel - same stuff every night 2 kids songs played if lucky followed by a "treasure hunt" for a bit of fruit for a kids cocktail that not many kids liked. followed by bingo which the lucky winner received a sex on the beach cocktail(watered down) which all inclusives got free anyways got to the point many people didnt even bother calling out.then a quiz again for a sex on the beach coctail :\ then whatever the nights act was - we had a parrot show, eagle show, snake show drag act - mr sister was very good one of the best nights:) Wasnt very impressed by Richie to be honest, seemed only interested in the bigger groups, anyone who didnt want to sing on karaoke or play mr & mrs he muttered "boring" under his breath. found him a bit arrogant and full of himself telling a member of our group they cudn't sing that particular night as he "HAD TO" sing his two songs :\ and there wasn' enough time - he's not the best singer. Whinged quite a bit about peoples reviews on trip advisor apparantly we should only be writing good things about him:L for the final hour the karaoke is mostly children screetching down the mic with the occasional good singer.....then Ritchie...also noticed how someone had said don't ask for a pool view if u want to get a sleep before 12 - just like to point out not just a pool view but anyview we were at the back of the hotel and it was still soooooo loud no idea how anyone got their children/babies to sleep we did speak to a couple who were moving hotels because of this. Much prefered van's nights he put some thought in to bingo/quiz prizes which although weren't great were definetly better than a bloody cocktail. He also made alot of effort to go round speaking to everyone and was absolutley hilariou when he wasnt even trying.

Someone also said about not understanding how people were complaining about the sunbeds- totally agree with anyone whos complained about the sunbeds we went down at half 9 our first morning and there was not a person in sight yet every sunbed was covered in a towel or inflatable - we soon discovered the secret people were queuing from 20 past 8 then when the gates were opened at 9 RUNNING for a bed I have never seen anything like it in my life an actual stampede for a bed:| then they all went for their breakfast and came back about half 10 / 11 i think something should be done about this as many other places just wudnt allow it. beds are also crammed together with barely enough room to squeeze between.

The food is ok and I think they really try to give choice although i have no idea how anyone with kids fed them as apart from chips theres not much choice for children desserts were never great and with breakfast i think the earlier you get down the better the food is. The staff in the restaurant and bar are incredibly hard working and never stopped - tables are reset in a minute and their so helpful - not sure of his name but the older man in the bar and restaurant who wears a stripped shirt - a manager or supervisor - is lovely so helpful, pointed out everything we would need. Peter behind the bar is also lovely and another guy always had a smile on his face and very polite.

Locations great and definetly a good point of the hotel - lovely beach a short ten min walk away we preffered there to the pool as we were always guaranteed a sunbed for 5 euros each. Although when we did go to the pool we found the life guard hilarious and more entertaining than the pool volleyball etc. He gave everyone in to trouble the minute he spotted them having fun - some days you were allowed to dive other days you weren't just depending on his mood, he also didnt allow children with waterwings in the deepend but then again somedays he did. It became the poolside joke when we seen him moving in to give someone in to trouble.

Also if your young and book with Thomas Cook would advise you NOT to go on the L.A by night "pub crawl" was an utter waste of money and drinks were over priced in each pub we went to they asked if we were on the thomas cook pub crawl when we said yes 2 drinks were 12 euros when we went back and bought same drinks few nights later they were a good few euros cheaper.

All in all the hotel was so so not bad not great just ok
don't really think i would go back as the entertainment can be a bit mind numbing.

Room Tip: Probs not a pool view

Very clean, All inclusive food lower than average, not a lot of choice (lived off chips and salad) staff very helpful. Daytime food shared with the local birds. Paper cups supplied for all drinks when AI ( I'm no snob but drinking wine from a paper cup didn't impress me) pool lifeguard was the entertainment watching him run around evicting people with inflatables or jumping in the pool and generally having fun. Didn't stay around in the evening as the surrounding places where more fun! If you want basic this is the place to go. Very clean and staff helpful and polite
