We have stayed at this property 4 times over the years. Our most recent visit was for 9 days. We like the area and it is one of the more cheapest areas for food and drink and close to a nice beach. The apartments are on a slope but this doesn't bother us as we appreciate the exercise. If you have walking difficulties it would be a problem.

CHECK IN

I had to wait at reception to check in for 15 mins. The dark haired female receptionist was talking to some French customers they appeared to be direct paying customers. Totally oblivious to the queue forming to check in. They had a new starter who was loitering around not really wanting to help as they had clearly not trained him. I finally managed to grab his attention but he did not know what he was doing, clearly not his fault. When I got seen they would not give me the safe straight away...come back in half an hour as they wanted to clear the queue. All very rude. They need to learn how to treat and welcome incoming guests with warmth and friendlines as first impressions last. It was a very poor check in experience.

ROOM

We were allocated a nice room on the 6th floor, they had taken note of our requests and gave us a high floor with a sea view. The apartments are comfortable but not sure where the 4* rating comes from they are an expensive 3* at best.

The rooms come with a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, tv with some English channels. They supposedly have free air conditioning. An air vent pumping out warm air, great!!...Dont bother. We had to open both doors to cool the room down, we had to close them a night for security reasons. Sweat, sweat, sweat!!!

The cleaning was sporadic, the towels they give you are awful, grimey and look dirty.

OTHER FACILITIES

Safe - You can hire your room safe about 1 euro a day with a 10 euro deposit.

Parking - they take a deposit for the barrier key 35 euros and gave us 25 back at the end of the stay. Good value. As the rude receptionist did point out though if you loose the key, no refund!!!..nice. Be warned if you don't have parking at your accommodation street parking in all the main south resort areas is a total nightmare.

Wifi - Free in the reception area but very slow. They have an Internet room 1 euro for 10 mins.

Laundry room - Never used it but useful

Pool - there is a nice pool area, clean and plenty of sunbeds.

FOOD AND DRINK AND OUT AND ABOUT

Our favourite restaurant was Marios. Go to the top of the hill, cross the road, next to the coconut bar. We ate here 4 times. Excellent Meats, Paella, Roast lamb Sunday dinner to die for. Very inexpensive. Friendly waiters, fast and efficient service.

We also got the bus (cheap buses) down to the Compostella Beach area on the way to Los Chritianos. We found a Fish and Chip restaurant called "Scampis". Amazing Fish and Chips if you like that sort of thing.
We had a few cheap drinks in "Surfers Bar" next door. A nice place very close to the beach with Sky Sports. Another lovely place for drinks was Cafe Ole opposite the Mediterranean Palace.

There are lots cheap bars in all the surrounding areas as long as you stay away from the centre of Las Americas. Average of 1.5 euro's a pint even cheaper during the day.

SUPERMARKETS

There is a large cheap supermarket near Club Atlantis "Mercadona" in the shopping centre at the top of the hill.

I do think we will stay somewhere else next time as there is so much choice but of course somewhere with on site parking!!

Just returned from a week at club atlantis I always read trip adviser before trying somewhere new. Some of the comments made refer that the hotel is on a steep hill I can say this is a load of rubbish yes it's on a hill but easy to walk up. As for the hotel I found it to be an excellent one The service provided was first class from reception to cleaners Room (we had Studio on 5th floor )which although the kitchen was very small everything else was fine comfy beds nice balcony with view towards Fanabe/ Costa Adeje over front of hotel.Room cleaned Daily excellent, plenty of night life even in March,Food tip try Gordon Ramsey,s Good value 3 courses 7.95eurors Plenty of places to eat spoilt for choice Recommend Yes Will return

Room Tip: Higher the better for views overlooking pool (Sun all day)front of hotel no sun but good views

We booked this privately owned apartment. with Karen from Holidays4u.org and were delighted with the service they gave not to mention the excellent apartment.
We have stayed at Club Atlantis many times before, and it offers an excellent holiday location being surrounded by Restaurants and bars as well as near a large supermarket and a few minutes from the seafront and beach.

Room Tip: no problems with any rooms

I have to agree with bob07734. I have been to Club Atlantis for the last 12 yrs sometimes twice a year. I have never had anything to complain about. I have stayed in the bungalows which are lovely but now too big so now stay in a privately owned apartment. / studio. last visit was Sept 2013 Studio on the 5th floor overlooking the front of the hotel. Very quiet and relaxing and great views nice to sit on the balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine. Studio very spacious and clean also well equipped. It is kept very clean through out and the staff are always very helpful and friendly.
Its situated in a very good location lots of places to walk too if your up too it.
Also had a manicure and pedicure in the salon will have another as was well worth the money.
So all in all for me its a great place and I will continue to return there.

Just back after staying 3 weeks in apartment 010, we booked this apartment through a holiday letting company after reading the reviews on trip advisor.
On arrival we tried to unlock the door onto the patio with no luck! After continually trying the people in the apartment next door shouted to us that the lock did not work and you had to take a metal pole out of the doors runner to open door! There are no proper curtains on the doors only nets, that give no privacy and are badly fitted(to small) We noticed light bulbs out in the bedroom and bathroom, the bath was filthy with a greasy black ring around it and after the first shower the water did not drain away. We contacted the owners who sorted the maintenance people to come out the next day.
The crockery and cutlery had dried food on them so everything had to be washed before we could use anything.
The first night going to bed, all that we could hear was the music from the "Sloop bar " below the apartment, at 1am the noise was ridiculous with people shouting so we gave up trying to sleep and made the sofa bed up in the living room, in the morning we were met with the lady from next door looking through the window at us in bed!
We slept in the living room most of the stay as the bar did not close until 2am and then they stacked the tables and chairs up then banged the shutters at around 2.30am !! Complaints were made to reception by the people in the apartment next door, which is directly over the bar but it made no difference .
The pool beds are untied at 10am and the regulars are waiting to pounce and place them in the same position each day with the odd altercation if someone steals their place!
The chair in the living room is old and needs renewing.
We felt that this apartment is over priced for the quality of furnishings and you should be made aware of the bar and the noise.
The lady on reception was very sullen and had quiet an attitude! We would not recommend this apartment and would not stay here again.
I do not like to give bad feedback and don't nit pick but feel this apartment justifies it, as we did not get what we expected

Room Tip: Find a different complex, there are far better ones than this at a cheaper rate.

Looked at the reviews and photos which showed all the flats at the pool area which was different to the one we where allocated. We stayed in a flat above the car park which did not get any sun at all which made it feel very dull and cold . It was very dated but I must add the place was very clean and the staff do work hard .The apartments are situated central to all amenities .towels need to be replaced as they would be better used for cleaning floors .Most of the apartments are privately owned and I agree that it is funny to see the owners waiting to pick their regular spots at the pool area every morning at 10 am.Although we enjoyed our holiday will not be returning to Club Atlantis. We did ask to be moved but we were told this was the best they could offer us we even offered to pay more .

Room Tip: Go for a pool view especially if your going for some winter sun .
