“3 rd Visit in a row!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

1st April for 12 nights and again this hotel has everything you need. 4 of us and our 2 grandchildren. Again the hotel has everything for all ages, the entertainment guys make the hotel just a great place to be, bringing all the guests together with their fun packed activities. My only negative is the food which was not as good as my last 2 previous visits, some of the "hot food" was cold which was noticeable, apart from that the staff are always brilliant and will be back for another helping. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you and the animation team again, keep up the great work. - Alan & June Newbigin from Chester-le Street (between Newcastle & Durham) xx

My hubby and myself stayed here for one week at the end of march, location is excellent, food is very very good,in fact the best food we have ever had in an all inclusive hotel. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are lovely and friendly,We were in room L244 which is over the other side, away from reception, but it is very quiet, and if we looked to the left,we could see the sea, these rooms are near to the baby pools, which have sand surrounding them, and are nice and safe for the kiddies. We went round the big pool, nearer to the bar etc.Breakfast is delicious,we didnt go in for lunch,we snacked round the pool, the pastries are just too tempting,we got quite addicted to them, but there are plenty of snacks to choose from. The evening meal is just wonderful, and i know the tables sit 8 people, but this didnt bother us in the slightest,we enjoyed sitting with different nationalities,a simple smile and hello goes a long way. There is something going on every day,but if we had to get off the sun bed, then we just were not interested, but it was great for the younger ones. There are loads of sun beds, they can be a little close together,so we would just move one away.We would defo stay here again,if only for the pastries,ha,and just one more thing, now and again just give the bar staff etc a euro or two, they very much appreciate it,and with the all inclusive, this seems to have deterred people from doing this.Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a pleasant one.

Room Tip: Laguna rooms are quieter and near the baby beach pool.

The hotel is located just next to the best beaches and shops, walking distance, maybe 5 minutes to the closest beach. Pool is big, actually there are two, one in the main area and second in laguna, just behind bbq restaurant. Area is cosy with plenty of animals like ducks, parrots, rabbits etc. (great touch from the owners) lots of places you can hide and enjoy the sun! Animation team is friendly and they provide plenty of activities with show every evening. If you are sunbathing at the pool they will come to you and ask if you want to play volleyball, football, watch how they make sangria, water aerobic etc. Full plan of available events is near to the reception. Fitness club opens at 2pm so no exercises in the morning is available, it didn't bothered us that much as we went there to get rest and for fun. Bar staff were great! Serving good drinks and make polite jokes. Old bartender is trying really hard but he maybe makes one good joke out of twenty, still great character and he did made me laugh in the end. Waiting staff great too! Food was alright, best in the main restaurant but you can also use bbq restaurant (food is limited there). If you want to get warm food you should dig deep into the serving plates. It is lukewarm on top.. Rooms were spacious, cleaned everyday with new towels and beds being made up.

We have spent most of the time in the pool area, having lots of drinks from the pool bar. There was never problem of getting good place in the sun. Drinks were made from local alcohols plus Carlsberg from the tap, during the dinner you could take bottle of wine from the fridge, they have got choice of red, pink and red. We met many nice people (one grumpy too who's comments during the breakfast made me sick) during dinners and breakfasts, always had a chat and it was great. Our typical day: Breakfast, pool, then snacks, brandy coffee, pool, dinner and bar again! We went to disco as well, animation team were there too making dancing competitions etc. Really good fun!

Only one bad point of our stay, but it was not the hotel fault. We have booked return transfer from the airport with Viajes Martel - Shuttles... When we have arrived to Tenerife there was no agent in the office and we had to wait 20 minutes. Finally when someone arrived (customer service was not his strong point!) we were taken to other company vehicle and taken to the hotel. The journey lasted an hour, so be prepared... On the way back to the airport they should send an email to the hotel reception informing about pick up time. If they don't do it it is your responsibility to contact them and ask for it... We asked 5 times at the reception at different times if they sent anything but answer was always no. On the last day of our stay we have asked the receptionist to call them. She has spoken with them in spanish and advised we will be picked up at 9:45am. Guess what? The transport didn't arrived and when rang them we were told the driver been at the hotel at 9:35am and we were not there so he left... We have been waiting at the main entrance from 9:30am!... Had to book a taxi - 25 euro. AVOID VIAJES MARTEL - SHUTTLES!

Would we go back to Park Club Europe? YES! And we met many people who been there for 3rd, 4th or even 10th time!

Room Tip: Block K has got a lift :) do not book rooms on the ground floor as you may get no privacy!

Stayed here for one week with sister in law.
Positives - great location. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was handy. Entertainment shows every. Ignite we're quite good, the entertainment team did try their best.
Negatives - food lukewarm, by the time you got back to your table it was just about cold. Maybe that is how the Spanish like their food but not me. Noticed a microwave in the last few days so my food went in there and it was quite repetitive every day. Bottle of water on the table one day tasted funny, I never drank any more of it but my sister in law was sick after a few mouthfuls. Waiter said it was normal water but it definitely wasn't. Reception staff would have been well suited to work in a funeral parlour, don't think I saw any of them raise a smile at all during the week and not very helpful. If they don't like working with the public they shouldn't be there! bed wasn't the comfiest, there was a few springs twanging when moving. Would I return back.....no.

I went for a weeks chilling break with a girlfriend. The hotel far exceeded my expectations especially at it was only rated a 3 star. All staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was very authentic looking wit a large reception area where there was free Wi Fi available 24 hours. The bedrooms were very spacious, we were lucky to be allocated a suite which consisted of two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a lounge area. The food in the main restaurant was excellent, plenty of choice and always hot. There was another smaller restaurant where you could eat outside and the food was cooked on a BBQ. The all inclusive drinks were of a high quality and even included Cava and we would often be given the bottle! The pool area was immaculate and cleaned every evening. There is a lovely relaxing spa which included a steam room, sauna and gym. The hotel was conveniently situated for the beach and the night-life which was only 5-10 min walk away. All in all a fantastic holiday and I would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to return at some point in the future.

The hotel was fantastic looking, well maintained and very clean. The day Receptionist when we arrived wasn't that friendly, not rude though, but the night Receptionist was great, very informative and chatty. The bar staff were great fun but always professional. The main bar area on the evening was a great place to be, a great atmosphere, everyone chatting etc. A daily cocktail and a host of other drinks on the AI were available but as were branded drinks too for a small fee. The animation team were brilliant, really friendly, sociable, they did zumba, stretching, yoga, pilates, step areobic classes and also volleyball, football, archery etc etc There was a kids club but as I don't have kids I didn't pay any attention to it. A tennis court and table tennis were available, free to use, with a refundable deposit. There were mattresses already on the sun loungers (always very clean) so no charge to use, the charge was €1.50 per day for towells with a refundable deposit, we took our own anyway. The pool was salt water, and a little cold but not an issue once you’re in it swimming. The food was great too, though the lunch time snack of chips/burger/chicken nuggets were every day, the chips were always cold, but there was enough other food to choose from 3 further hot options (varied each day) plus a huge salad bar, with some desserts and some hot veg and meat, plus french bread pizza, crusty rolls, baps and a variety of cakes (don’t like cold chips, dont eat them - simplez!). The lager and fizzy drinks on tap was excellent, and small bottles of water in the fridges available to help yourself. The dinner in the main restaurant was excellent, loads to choose from, wine on the tables etc. The table seating arrangements of 8 per table and no individual tables, wasn't a problem, we got chatting to other English people this way and found it quite sociable and met some lovely people because of it. If you didn't want to chat, then don't, some people kept themselves to themselves, others chatted, not an issue, certainly not an issue for me at all. Free wi-fi in the main reception which was very handy, though they do want to add this to the rest of the hotel rooms for a small fee next year, keeping the wi-fi free in reception. The hair dryer in the bathroom was a low powered one, not good for me, but I took my own anyway. The smellies you get in the bathroom were minimal but we took our own anyway. The location of the hotel was spot on, 10 mins, if that, from the strip, 5 mins from the excellent Dubliners bar (many an excellent night in there), and in the middle of the nicer area of shops, restaurants etc. Our room was probably one of the smaller ones there, others had good sizes. Our room was plenty big enough though, ceiling fans if you needed them, flat screen tv’s (remotes to use for a refundable deposit – no cost), very clean, tidy and in good condition. There was a little animal enclosure at the back, with rabbits, geese etc… an excellent touch… The supermarket one block back from the hotel, around the corner from Mango (not the plus one with a security guard), was the cheapest in the area and had all the usual bits and pieces required. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor or pool view.
