It's a Quality Inn, so - you get what you expect for a fair price. No complaints, but is fairly basic. Breakfast is a very simple DIY Continental style, but no complaints. Has a small indoor pool plus a well equipped exercise room.

Stayed there for the Austin F1 GP and made a good base for getting to and from the circuit.

Plenty of good restaurants close by, but not within walking distance. Local tourist `village' of Greune well worth a visit if you want to step back in time for a real Texan experience.

Room Tip: Front of hotel a bit close to a major road.

The walls were patched and not painted, the sofa sleeper had stains and cig. burn holes. The carpet was stained and nasty looking. Not well maintained. For a room charge of 349.99 +sales tax 21.00+city county tax 24.50= (397.19)Not worth the money, I made my comments to the front desk at check out, he said he would pass the comments to the management. I was very disappointed, with my stay at this (low quality inn). I am not trying to bash anyone, just being honest, hope this helps someone else. I guess if I had read the reviews I would have saved myself some grief. Date of stay Saturday 11-2 13 thru 11-3-13

During a recent vacation trip to New Braunfels, TX we stayed at the Sleep Inn & Suites ($86.43 including taxes), this sad place ($83.05, including taxes), and Comfort Suites ($80.35, including taxes), on consecutive nights.

The Quality Inn ( a huge misnomer) needs a lot of improvements to warrant the name "Quality".

Particularly disappointing - or a better word: disgusting - was the filthy condition of the carpet in the dining room. Apparently every meal ever eaten there had part of it spilled on the carpet and never cleaned up.

The breakfast choices were about average, but not outstanding. The biscuits were as hard as bricks; who knows how old they were?

Part of the wallpaper in the dining area was peeling off the walls, further indicating lack of any maintenance upgrades and giving the overall feeling of second rate.

If you like laying down in a hammock, then you will love the sagging mattress.

My wife and I have stayed in many Choice Hotel units, and I have earned the Platinum Elite status. Accordingly, you are supposed to be greeted as such, and given a "welcome kit" which consists of a bottle of water, and a snack.

Well, I doubt if this place even knows of this Choice Hotel chains' feature for loyal guests.

As another reviewer noted, we got screwed $1.50 for a safe which was not mentioned during check-in so we could exercise an opt-out option; just another hidden ripoff of this derelict place.

Finally, during the last few years we have noticed a significant degradation of the overall quality and services of the Choice Hotel chain since the invasion of foreign ownership and management.

I have the number for the Choice Hotel's Corporate line, and I call them from time to time to complain about our stays, but as you can probably guess - what good does that do?

Buyer Beware!!!

Time to use our Hilton Honors membership instead.

Room Tip: Sorry, I can't offer any advice in this regard

The carpets in our room and in the halls were stained and dirty. The beds were uncomfortable and there was no fridge or microwave in our room. The breakfast was just okay. I filled out a survey from Choice Hotels and received a form email from the hotel manager saying that he was sorry that I was not pleased but didn't address any of the issues that I had brought up.

Room Tip: Find a Different hotel.

My wife and I were on business trip and had to find a hotel to spend a night. The hotel was OK but the check out was the worse. The clerk was on the phone when we were trying to check out for five minutes. He did not care that we were waiting for him to check out. The same thing he did to other customers and we saw few customer not very happy with him.
The second thing which really bother us was an extra $1.50 charge for safe which we were not informed when we checked in. We do not understand if we stay one night why we have to pay for safe charge. It tells me that the hotel is not safe to stay for one night because we have to use safe to protect ourselves. If we were planing to stay more then one night we understand but still they need to inform customer when they checked in. $1.50 is not the problem but dishonest business practice is an issue. This is happening more and more in hotel business they are adding hidden charges to rip customer off.

Our room was clean and beds okay. Breakfast was not attended to each of the two mornings we were there. No coffee, no juice, and no milk. The motel was not full either day and the breakfast seemed to be on its own. Also the staff did not tell us how much would be charged to our credit card for "incedentials". Staff just was not very friendly. One lady was that evening, but morning was not talking. Overall it could use a few upgrades.
