We were there last year and loved our stay. The inn is absolutely beautiful and breakfast was fabulous. We loved the deck over the river and our comfy cozy room. The area is great for eating, shopping, entertainment and outdoor adventures. We fished, shopped, floated the river, and ate some great meals. Judy and George were very hospitable. I hope we can go back sometime.

We stayed here for 3 nights in New Braunfels. We loved our room, the beautiful grounds, the friendly staff, and the easy access to historic Gruene and all of the other attractions in New Braunfels. The house is directly on the Guadalupe River with a river view from the deck. The grounds are immaculate. The hot tub was out of service on our visit which was the only downer. The AC in our room was a little noisy but by the third night we were used to it. The room had some quirks--the faucet in the bathroom was sort of hard to use and the room had a faint musty odor on arrival. But nothing that really mattered. The owners are friendly and do everything to make your visit pleasant. Breakfast every day was wonderful--the highlight of our visit. The staff is knowledgeable about the area with great tips and suggestions. Overall, we loved everything about our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

My family stayed here for my wedding weekend and it was a perfect combination of location and comfort for the event. The Lambs Rest gave us an idyllic retreat from the craziness of the wedding. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with lovely linens. Everyone congregated on the terraced porches overlooking the Guadelupe River each night for wonderful conversation and relaxation. The gardens cascade down to the river with gorgeous sitting areas scattered about. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and helped make it a great weekend.

This place is amazing. This was our first experience at a B&B and I was not dissapointed. The rooms were adorable, the pool area was beautiful, the food was wonderful! I could not come in from outside, relaxing on the decks, reading. We go to New Braunfels all of the time usually staying in a condo. This was a nice romantic change.

Amazing location on the Guadelupe River about a 4-5 minute drive to historic Gruene, TX. This inn has excellent outdoor living areas and gardens terraced on 4 levels from the back veranda going down to the river. We had coffee out back each morning, and had to pry ourselves away to get on with the day. Loved it.

Took my wife for our 18th anniversary weekend getaway and could not have been happier or more impressed with our overall experience.

Note, this is a contemporary house so you won't be getting the 12 foot ceilings, historical flavor, etc. However, the bedrooms and common areas were lavishly decorated and beautiful. We stayed in the Mullberry Court room and were very pleased. The linens and bath towels were luxurious. This particular room had a small bathroom (no counter space) but that was a very small negative in an otherwise superior stay. (Other rooms have full baths and even jacuzzie tubs). All the first class extras were there (hair dryer, ironing board, robes, etc.).

Our hosts were also wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was also fantastic both days with an unexpectedly gourmet-ish presentation on Sunday (cream custard with raspberry sauce appetizer with a main course of French toast with cream cheese layer topped with fresh peaches, blueberries and whipped cream!)

The back “yard” was incredible with several levels of decks terracing down to the river -- all lavishly landscaped. It was great just sitting out on the deck and in the porch swing watching rafters float by. (They also have a decent sized pool on the side of the house and a hot tub).

Parking was ample and it was in a very quite and secluded neighborhood. Although it sports a New Braunfels address, it was literally just a ¼ mile from Gurene and many of the river rafting companies.

What a great place to stay!

We stayed a weekend at the inn after our wedding. The cottage was perfect! Jacuzzi tub for 2, gas fireplace, comfy robes, and a balcony overlooking the river. Private and romantic. The breakfasts were lovely as well. The owners were kind and accommodating. We look forward to going back on our anniversary next year!
