We love this beach! Skip any others! This one is clean and most of the people are polite. We come here instead of Galveston any day.

Lovely beach! Not too crowded and right off a (sand) road for easy access! The water was warm and clear when I visited at the end of May. I believe you need a parking permit to park on the beach, but it is worth it! Lots of people parking their campers right on the beach as well.

We have camped, fished, and just hung out in Port A for years. It is a great beach, does not get crazy, and has a very family friendly atmosphere. For camping we just have the camping permit sticker that you put in your window and its $15 I think for the whole year. The bob hall pier is where we normally camp because they have bathrooms and showers. That is about 20-30min from port A.

This beach was a gem. Had a Jeep show there over weekend and it was great. Great swimming, clean, and well patrolled.
