Don't be decieved by the exterior...this is the best restaurant in Port A. The burger was the best I've had in a while (definitely the best on the island). The pancakes were like crack - I couldn't stop eating them. Everyone in our party of 8 had a great meal. The staff was great - excellent experience all around.

Like many of the restaurants on Port Aransas, this one is a family owned business, small and no frills. It seats only 22 people at a time. You'll be asked to wait outside for a table, which can be brutal in the summer. But once we were seated, the server and owners were very friendly and the food came out quickly and very tasty. Our group of five arrived about 10:00 a.m. and had only a 15 minute wait. Two in our group had the country breakfast at $7.99 with two eggs served anyway you prefer, hearty slices of bacon or ham, and delicious potatoes. The hot sauce was homemade as was the hollandaise sauce for my eggs benedict. The eggs benedict ran $15 but the poached eggs were perfectly cooked and were accompanied by large slices of ham, english muffins of course and the potatoes. The guys also got a side of grits which they said were great. Two in our group had the french toast with your choice of 3 or 4 large slices of actual french bread which was not too eggy and not too crispy. Would love to return for lunch to try the crab cakes or fresh fish. Frankie's is located near the marina by Giggety's and Bernies at Cotter and Tarpon.

If you like a diner type of place, then this is the place. It's very small and can only seat about 20 people, so there is a wait, but the service is quick and tables turnover quite regularly (and you are on vacation at the beach, so chill). We were there for breakfast and it was just what we were looking for. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I had eggs that were cooked to perfection, sausage, whole wheat toast and grits just like my momma used to make (they even found me some shredded cheese to add to them) and a bowl of fresh fruit which was surprising big and very good. My breakfast buddy had the same, but added an order of pancakes, that were HUGE. . bigger than the plate and he was not able to finish them. I had a bite and they were pretty good. The tables are very close together, so if you don't like other people, then this is not the place for you. We had a very nice conversion with a couple that had been eating there for years and never missed it when they were in town.

They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday serving breakfast and lunch, so plan accordingly. Enjoy.

Two order of eggs, sausage, toast, grits, fruit, coffee and a HUGE order of pancakes. . .with tip $32
