“Best seafood in Port A!”
Reviewed 13 October 2011

This family run restaurant serves up some of the freshest, most tasty seafood in Port A. It's a charming little place . . . so make a reservation. The menu varies based on seasonal fish and the wine list is pretty good for a sleepy little fishing village on the Texas Coast! The staff are friendly and very helpful and the food was so good I can't wait to go back again.

“good food and friendly service”
Reviewed 3 October 2011

we went early on a friday evening and were the only table (it was late september BTW). hubby had the crab cake and i had the gumbo. crab cake was tasty and came with a really flavorful dip. the gumbo had plenty of shrimp and the roux was nice and thick. not too much rice either. yummy!

“Cheaper Than Most”
Reviewed 27 September 2011

After reading most of the reviews we selected this restaurant knowing it was extremely casual and cheaper than most for fresh seafood. We visited early (5:30pm) and did have a reservation as was recommended. I ordered the Seafood Platter and my husband ordered the Jumbo Crab Cakes. The fried oysters were extra greasy, the flounder was extra crispy and the fried shrimp were great. My husband's crab cakes were only average and had more filler than jumb crab, so he was't impressed. He was happy the prices were reasonable however. Our recommendation is if you go, order the fried shrimp or prepare to be disappointed.

“Really surprised”
Reviewed 17 September 2011

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place is pretty awesome. We arrived for lunch while driving around with the top off of the Jeep. Not alot of folks when we first got there, but the place really got hopping. A really good local place with fresh food. Good portion sizes, very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend to anyone. there are other places in town that charge more and deliver far less.

“Nice gem in the rough.”

Small place with great food. The Portabella fries were excellent. Also had blackened Mahi Mahi and Grouper Pontchartrain which were fantastic. Erin was a great waitress, btw.
