This was our second visit to this restaurant and we still found it to be very good. It is a small, family-run establishment that is probably very crowded during the summer season. Both times we have been there in October and November and we had no problem with service. We both had flounder - mine was stuffed with crab and my husband's was broiled and we found them both to be very good. I had the signature mile-high lime pie which was delicious!

It seems to be the theme. The food was some of the best that we ate during long weekend stay in Port Aransas. We just loved it, but it was tough to enjoy because the service was so bad. All of the seafood that we had was fresh and tasteful, but the absolute stars of the show were the crab cakes and tenderloin steak (my hubby said the best he has ever had). I really hope ownership/management handles the service issues prior to our trip to Port Aransas next year.

Last year I rated this restaurant as having some of the best food in Port A . . . this year, I still believe they have great food, but they are lacking in staff and service! We arrived promptly at our reservation time and were told that they would put our table together. After about 10 minutes, a girl came around and said, "down two stairs and to your right," she didn't even take us to our table. Then, we were forgotten . . . at the 25 minute mark our order was finally taken and then 1 1/2 HOURS later the food arrived. We didn't get a breadstick, an "I'm sorry," or any other words of encouragement. It's sad to see such talent being thrown away because of the lack of staffing. We will not be going back . . . our dinner the following night at Venetian Hot Plate was spot on and the service was EXCELLENT!

This is not a place we would have ever chosen from a "drive-by". Very small and not the most beautiful exterior, but we had read the reviews and were excited to try it. We ordered the lump crab cake for our appetizer. It was seriously the best crab cake we have ever experienced. We ordered the crab stuffed flounder and the special which was seabass with lemon cream sauce. We have four year old twins. The kids meals were not just your run of the meal frozen popcorn shrimp and fish filet. My husband and I wound up eating a portion of our son's popcorn shrimp, which were cooked perfectly and delicious. Our daughter's fish filet was seasoned and fried to perfection. We decided to go with the Mile High Key Lime Pie for dessert, and glad we did! The food was fantastic and service was very friendly. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back at some point in the future.
