“Great Place to Stay!”
Reviewed 15 June 2012

We stayed here for 3 days and absolutely loved it! Its an oversized motel room with a full kitchen! Your back door opens up to the pool/courtyard. Its a nice clean place and the people there are very nice. Yes, management does leave at 5 pm but it wasn't a problem, nor did we need a maid service. i went down to the office which is just a short walk to get more towels or if i needed anything!

Room Tip: I liked being on the bottom floor so we just walked out the back door and were at the pool but if yo...

We had a great time! Room was clean, view was great, loved the clean pool, beautiful flowers all around outside, management was great, they allowed pets, within walking distance to the beach, close to many restaurants, price was reasonable. I have no complaints. Loved the fully stocked kitchenette. You have to realize this is an older hotel and suite, BUT being that it is older it was in great condition in our room. While we were there the maintenance man was repairing and replacing the outside lights so they do keep it up. Staff was really helpful and very nice. We look forward to our next stay here.

Can't believe they won't spend a little on upgrades, when I complained about the noises they said they knew about it, wonder how long?!?

Anyway the location is good, plenty of restaurants within walking distance and it's away from the busy main drag so was good for us with the dogs. Office staff very nice, and beach walk was easy,

I found it thru the chamber of commerce page and it was a great experience.
Owner was friendly and helpfull. The place was clean, cozy, comfortable has a nice patio and pool. It is within a walk in distance to restaurants, and close to the beach.
I enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward my next stay during summer.
Price was affordable and they will give you the 5th nite for free when you purchase 4.

Our room was very clean and served the purpose. They are very pet friendly and that's one reason we chose it. From the outside it didn't look too great, but since you could walk short distance to the beach it was perfect. At night you could hear the waves lapping when outside.

Room Tip: upstairs you could see more than we could on the lower level, but with a dog it was better to be on...

We stayed in Room 143. It was very clean and nicely furnished. This is a condiminium property, therefore, each unit is owned and rented out through the management. Thus, each room is differently decorated and furnished. I know ours was more 'modern and clean' than some of the other rooms. So keep this in mind when you book. Also, the office closes at 5pm, so if you will be arriving later, you need to let them know. They didn't inform us of this. Luckily, they called us as we were heading there around 4:30pm and we just made it to check in. DRAWBACKS: The beds were NOT comfortable. The mattresses were really worn out/lopsided, thin. No maid service, no pool towels. They need to put more hangers in the closet-we had 3 and 2 people. Not enough. Also, no hairdryer or iron in the room was also annoying. I'd recommend they add these amenities too if they are going to rent the condo units like a hotel. Location was easy walk to several of the good restaurants: Cafe Phoenix was delicious, fresh, healthy and the only thing close to 'gourmet' we could find. La Playa Mexico was good. The beach is a 1/2 mile walk down the road, or you have to pay $12/day for a parking pass. We didn't pay for one and had no problem. Pool area was very nice. Plenty of lounge chairs. Zero entry pool is nice if you have babies or small children. Pretty flowers around the pool. We paid $100/night and had a kitchen/balcony in our unit w/tub/shower. Thought it was a little overpriced considering some of the lack of amenities and uncomfortable beds.

Room Tip: Ask for a nicely decorated one and comfy beds! All rooms overlook the pool and you can see the beach...

tried to spend a nice weekend with my girlfriend to learn to surf, but it didn't turn out as great as expected.

-mold on the side of the fridge that looked disgusting, i'd say 75% of the side of the fridge
- we tried to close the curtains and the whole damn thing fell off the wall
-even when closed, someone could still peer through the windows since the curtains were thin and did not cover the entire window
-room smelled musty
-nothing seemed clean

I girlfriend was angry I booked a place like this, and said "Next time, please let me pick the place ok?"

The management was nice, but nice people don't always make good hotel owners.
