“All the Comforts of Home!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I am always a little skeptical about renting a vacation rental. Pictures always seem nice, but then when you arrive, it's a whole different story! NOT in this case though! There were 3 couples total (no kids, other than the 4-legged kind).

Upon arrival we walked in and the house is in excellent condition and VERY clean! There's a welcome book upon entering so make sure you read up on it since it will give you directions on what to do at the end of your stay. You will not need a key. The front door has a keypad that you press the numbers and it lets you right in. So you don't have to worry about getting a certain number of keys or carrying a key, etc, etc..

Living Room: The whole house has DirecTV with all the movie channels. There is an L-shaped couch in the living room with 2 decor chairs put together. It was enough space for all 6 adults to kick back and unwind.

Dining Area: There is a 6 person table. It is a nice fit for 6 average people. If you are bringing kids and there is more than 6 people, I suggest you bring an extra table. We cooked lasagna, garlic bread, & salad the first night and there was just enough room on the table with the plates, utensils, and glassware.

Kitchen: You do not need to bring anything! They have thought of and provided you with everything. Even down to the cutting boards, tupperware, and cookware. The only thing I would suggest is to rinse of the utensils. As part of the checking-out book, you are supposed to put all used utensils in the dishwasher and run it. Well, the cooking utensils still had a bit of food on it as well as the eating utensils. So just make sure you do a quick hot water rinse off before eating off of them. Appliances include a blender, coffee maker, oven, flat top stove, and a microwave. The fridge is large enough to hold all of our food & drinks for the duration of our stay.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: The master bath has a walk-in shower and the room has a very large walk-in closet. The master bath has a hair dryer under the sink (in case you forgot yours like we did). The guest bedroom with the queen bed has a good-sized closet and a dresser if needed. The other guest bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. Since the room does have bunk beds, they were unable to put a ceiling fan in this room (like the other 2 rooms) for safety precautions, so it does get a little warm in there. The mattresses are a little hard. I prefer a stiff bed, but these have no give. Probably because they are still new. The second bathroom is a tub/shower bath and they even put a stool under the sink for you in case you need to bathe your kids or whatever. The only downside was the spare bathroom only had 1 roll of toilet paper (which was on the holder). I checked the linen closet (which is full of towels and extra sheets), under the sink, and there were none. The master bathroom had 1 extra roll. So you might want to bring some toilet paper with you just in case.

Pool Area: What the pictures don't show is the grassy area in the back of the house next to the pool. This area is great for the dogs that we brought. Just make sure you pick up after them! The whole pool area is fenced in with decent-sized slots in between each post. So if you have small animals (like the couple that brought 2 yorkies with them), you need to keep watch since they will easily slip through them into the other yard(s). If you have larger dogs (which we also had a lab & 30lb lab-mix), there are no worries. The owners of the home were even nice to provide pool noodles and loungers, even beach chairs for when you go to the beach! The pool itself is good-sized. I was a little worried that the pictures made a super small pool look huge, but it is a good sized pool. I think the deepest point is about 5 feet. Just make sure than you don't dive or jump in. It's a lot shallower than it looks!

Internet/Wi-Fi: This house is equipped with wifi. The username & password are on the fridge.

The house is only 1 year old, so everything in it is brand new and is very clean! Even with a few minor issues, I still give this property 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again and again!!!
