What a delightful two-night stay we had. I write this as Hurricane Harvey is about to descend upon Port Aransas…extremely hard for us to imagine what this sweet community is facing.
We waited until after 4pm to check into our rooms. We kept busy having a late lunch at the pizza place across the street (will pass on that next time) and visiting some of the souvenir shops.
The rooms are largely comfortable with the king and a little cramped with the two queens…still quite doable. We liked that the floors are tile and even though we left our sandy shoes outside the door, sand still tracks in. We appreciated having a second clean pair to wear once in the room such as slippers or extra flip-flops.
The staff was superb – could not ask for more attentive or nicer folk. The breakfast was well presented, plentiful, and good. Loved the Texas waffles! I think they are the best I’ve had.
When possible, we would return. This was our first visit to Port A and we’d enjoy returning.More
