“Late night dinner!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013

There were 5 of us looking for a good dinner, but it was late and off-season, and Pirate's was the only one open we could find, just over the bridge from SPI in Port Isabel. Cute area, with shopping and lots of places to take pics! The food was pretty good, I had the Tilapia which was very good with veggies. The appetizers were a hit and miss (hush puppies were delicious)! The service was great and so hopefully go back and try it again one day!

Also, don't forget to wash your hands, the sea salt scrub is deliciously aromatic and leaves your hands so soft...they also sell it in their gift shop!

“Excellent Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

My husband Jesus and I went for dinner on Saturday, October 5, 2013. We had the small order of onion blossom as an appetizer plus we both ordered the surf and turf and it was awesome. The ribeye was so delicious and had so much flavor.
Gary, one of the Managers came to our table to ask if we had been helped. (Very nice gesture on his part). Oscar our waiter was very attentive and he took care of us. He has excellent people skills and the best customer service. Great asset to the company. I will definitely go back to this restaurant. Don't have pictures but next time I will make sure I take some. We were sitting on the upper level towards the back of the restaurant just a few steps from the kitchen entrance..

“Great fries, gross burger”

The whole pirates landing area is cute. All the pirate stuff is fun and we watched them fire the cannon. The food was reasonably priced but my burger was disgusting!!

“Worth the Trip from South Padre Island”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2013

It was our first time to South Padre Island, TX and we got in late evening, and there weren't many restaurant open, so we went to Blackbeard's, it was a disappointment. The next day we decided to drive to Port Isabel for dinner and went to Pirate's Landing, it was worth the trip and we weren't disappointed. We both had the fresh Gulf Red Snapper, it was excellent. The point is, don't be lazy and settle for less, drive 10 or 15 minutes more and have a great dinner at Pirate's Landing.

“The Ultimate Fish Taco!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 September 2013

Once again we brought our own fish, a Red Fish that was swimming the Laguna Madre this morning and some Flounder...
The Red was "Blackened to perfection" spicy and oily as it should, the flounder golden fried...
On the side : a Massive Loaded Baked Potato, Green Fresh salad and the best homemade Cole slaw south of SanAnton, corn tortillas.
Home made biscuits glazed with honey "impossible to resist"...

The ultimate Fish Taco "aka" The Fernandez special !
Corn Tortilla
Blackened Red fish
Cole Slaw
Lemon drops
a dash of Cholula sauce
and the kicker: Blue Cheese Dressing
an explosion of flavors in your mouth!

all washed down with Industrial quantities of Iced Tea.

Fisherman give it a try! bring your own fish

The service and staff as customary...great!
