Ok I went to the place yesterday. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and it was the absolute WORST excuse for etouffee I have ever tasted. It was like a half serving for $12! Half of it was cold and all was just watered down bland.

I politely and privately told the server it was in-editable and he looked at me with this shocked face and said "What's wrong with it?" in front of everyone. I then told him I would pay for it if the manager or cook ate the whole damn bowl in front of me. Needless to say, I sent it back which I hardly ever do and requested chicken/sausage gumbo instead.

The manager never came out and when the bill came I was charged for the etouffee and gumbo (which was not seasoned either). The dirty rice tasted like it was microwaved with no water.

My wifes' fried catfish with the shrimp etouffee was clearly microwaved as well! Who microwaves fried fish? One of our party's order couldn't be placed because they were "out" of it. I will NEVER go back here and I recommend everyone else avoid it as well go to Razzoo's instead of this place!

i will say that the hush puppies were very good, but that is where it stops.
i hope the owner sees this as i would hate to see any buisiness fail. the food is flavorless and bland, and the portiones are small. the staff seems to be fine i think the problem lies with the cooks as they dont seem to know what cajun food really is. sad sad sad.
maybe kitchen nightmares will come to the rescue

I visit Dad about twice a year, and ever since this place has opened, I have opted to eat here once each visit. Since my last visit this place has remodeled and changed up the menu. They also added a bar, which I didn't quite appreciate. It gives the place more of a feel of a Chili's or a Red Lobster (i.e. a hipster chain restaurant) instead of the down home feel that I had on previous experiences. The owner still came out to greet us. (Note: that's not necessarily a usual for most diners, I think, but Dad and the owner are good friends). The food is pretty good, still, but I liked the old menu better.
