May 4th we did a long, near all day trip through Big Bend National Park... Took 170 from Study Butte to Presidio and had to find a place to eat... Thus our first visit to El Patio. The first clue to our waiting culinary adventure was the salsa... The bite was perfect... Warm enough to know it was real... But not so hot as to mask the blend of flavors!
The chili rellenos was superb... The cheese oozed its goodness with each slice (cut with the edge of the fork)
The enchilada was covered in a red sauce that was to die for and blended so well with the beans and rice that completed the plate.
If you are in the area... Stop in, enjoy the honest border cuisine. You will be glad you did!
