Stayed 2 nights, July 4-5, 2013. Arrived mid-afternoon for check-in. Two clerks behind counter, a male and female, both in mid-twenties or so. Nothing real bad, but much more interested in their conversation with each other than with checking me in and giving attention to the customer. The guy was in shorts, sitting down, never stood up, legs folded/crossed in the chair underneath himself. Odd and unprofessional for the business at hand.
Room was big and beds were okay. That's about the best thing that can be said for this place. Paid $100 a night for a so-called suite with two king size beds. The bathroom was very small, and the grout and paint looked like it was done by grade school kids. The rest of the room was also a weird in the way it was arranged and the "decor."
Exterior of the hotel is disgustingly filthy. Sidewalks and stairs could use a serious cleaning or spray wash.
"Breakfast" that came with the room would only qualify as such for someone that was... well, I'm not sure anyone would call it breakfast. Two choices of cereals that looked like they'd been there for 10 years, or a banana or apple.
All in all, just not a good place and it's only redeeming value is that the newer hotel across the street is worse. Stayed there a few years ago.More
