“South Texas, fried gulf shrimp and the most awesome onion rings in the world. What's not to try?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2012

My family has been coming to King's Inn for many, many years and it always satisfies. They serve their seafood family style and the plates are endless. As another reviewer mentioned, King's Inn has been a staple in my family for many celebrations. It's not a fancy place, it's not a cheap place but the seafood is always fresh, the customer service is solid and attentive and the avocado salad and onion rings will make you cry they are so delicious. Give it a try when in South Texas. It's a little off the beaten path but worth the trip.

“Worst seafood I have ever eaten”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2012

We drove 1 1/2 hours to get to the "famous" eatery. This was the worst seafood I have ever eaten. I'm not so sure that they season any of their food. Everything was bland! I will never eat there again. I almost forgot their tartar sauce.......worst I have ever had as well!

“Everyone should eat here at least once”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2012

And once will never be enough. This is our go to celebration destination. We always take any out of town guest there and it just can't be beat in my opinion. It is not fancy - just good!

“Worth The Trip cdavfish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2012

A little off the beaten path but well worth it, Shrimp and Oysters both are fantastic, the avocado salad with dip is great, and the Onion rings are to die for. Have been going there for the last 30 years every time I'm in the area always good. Prices are a little high but again this isn't Captain D's.

“Hard to find, worth the hunt”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2012

Was rather dead when we arrived, couple tables full. Menu is very basic but everything is well prepared. That evening we had Grill Drum fish, shrimp, onion rings and a salad. Fresh, lightly fried shrimp, drum fish was well prepared. Onion rings are exceptional and come in a large brick.
Restaurant is a little hard to find but totally worth hunting it down. Bay front seating makes it worth it, only complaint is old lady at the cash register, to busy talking to the employees instead of working.
