“Much More than Expected...”

Man was this a case of "don't judge a book by it's cover." The small building located at the entrance of Rockport Beach Park may not appear of a point of interest but within it's walls is a real treat for young and old. The Science on a Sphere display/presentation is enough to make the visit worthwhile. Literally, a sphere where projected satellite pictures seemingly rotate while one of the speakers presents one or some of several topics. Excellent and informative!

“Nice presentation”

Loved the planetary presentation, but it was short, the center hours limited, and pointed towards children.

“Wonderful Educational Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

As the former review mentions, this is state of the art presentation with a truly knowledgeable instructor. We especially enjoyed the weather information and hurricane science. Wished we had another day to go back for different subjects. Amazing that something of this quality would be free.

“Interesting and free”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2014

My husband and I attended one of the presentations. The presentation was displayed on a large spinning sphere hanging from the ceiling. That was cool. The presenter was great. They have presentations at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and they last about 30 minutes. This attraction is free but you can donate at the door. The Texas Maritime Museum, Rockport Beach and Aquarium are less than a block away.
