My mother brought my sisters, my niece, my nephew, my children and I along and we had a blast. The facilities were clean, there was music on the deck overlooking the water. Paddle boats and kayaks are available and there's a shell reef nearby that is literally COVERED in shells. Right down the road is Rockport Beach Park, with a great sandy beach and shallow calm waters perfect for our bunch (three 4 year olds and a 10 year old) and a saltwater pool with piles of shells nearby. Moondog Seaside Eatery, Charlotte Plummers, and Hammerheads are right down the road in the Fulton area for great food. Lots of little shops just down the road. And, of course, right down the road is Aransas Pass and Port Aransas and all the fun that comes with that. The staff at Hunts Castle is friendly, attentive, and fun. It was a BLAST!!! Will be returning soon.

Room Tip: The cabins offer plenty of room and a full kitchenette - perfect for families.

This is such a nice fishing town to have a great time with your family. The hotel is spacious for our big family, clean hotel with great accommodating staff, and has a beautiful view of the bay. We have most of our fishing luck off their pier:)

Room Tip: Corner suites on the top floor are the best;)

Fun looking Place outside. Great Pier!!! Room was mediocre. We thought it would be alright for a couple of nights. We were just there to go fishing. Everything seemed OK until we saw some creepy crawlies on the bed!!! Yikes... Bed Bugs!!! We immediately told the owner who came up to the room and saw the evidence for himself. He kindly reimbursed us and told us he was trying to take care of the problem. I sure hope, for everyone's sake, he did. We had a terrible time finding another room in town- Forth of July weekend. Needless to say, this put a damper on our trip. If you stay here PLEASE inspect the beds carefully!!!!

This is the worst place we have ever stayed. It's true Charlie is a very nice charming host but I don't know why this place is still open. We found huge bed bugs in our room on the first floor and had family staying in the second and third floor in which they also found them. We called a health inspector, this was definitely an infestation, who also found them but not sure what happened after that. The mattress was so filthy and had feces from the bed bugs. There was mold in the bathroom and the sheets were stained with blood and some yellow stuff. I have pics and video to prove it. It's so wrong that they don't do anything about it and still have the nerve to rent these rooms out to guests. Hunts Castle has so much potential but it is ignorant owners who know what is going on and don't do anything about it. The guy up front was giving us a hard time when we demanded a refund and even accused us of bringing the bugs in!! The nerve of this guy! We eventually got our money back but I can assure you we will never be back there again and will warn anyone and everyone we can about this horrible place! And Charlie if you read this thank you for being an awesome host.

first off let me start off bye saying that this issue has been taken care of and yes the health inspector came back bye and check to see if it was done right. This is something that is going on all over the USA right now not only in hotels and motels but in hospitals ,nursing homes and every where else. I do apologize for your experancing this here and the owner does understand about how you guys feel though it didn't seem like it at the time he does care. As for me I just do my job just as anyone else does in this kind of business so please understand I myself would appreciate your business or just give us another try cause all these issues have been dealt with and again I do apologize for all the trouble you and your family went through

This is a family hotel first and foremost, Charlie & Ken were great host's and made sure there was nothing we needed during our entire stay. This is an older hotel but kept very clean and neat. We all took our watches off and didn't even think about what time it was we just relaxed and went fishing off the private pier which by the way is very long we caught a red and 4 speckle trout.
No one seem to get rowdy or out of hand during our stay which was from July 3 - 6. And did I mention that its in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. bring your bikes you can get to a lot of places on a bike from the hotel.

Room Tip: Get the rooms on the third floor you wont be disappointed...

Just returned from the best vacation. Ken and Charlie double teamed us with kindness. They made sure we recieved great service.
We stayed in a suite, very roomy. The room was clean and the view was spectacular. They have a deck in front of the hotel, picnic benches, little huts and BBQ pits for their guests to use. And we used them every day and night.
They have a big pier. Tho we didn't catch anything but perch, maybe next time we'll catch the big one. We didn't use their pool but the kids enjoyed it. We highly recommend this place. Continental breakfast, no worries, they have it. And the best part was music. A dj on one night and live music on another. It's like a family waiting for you to visit.
