Newer hotel ... nice, clean, and very friendly staff. The a/c was EXTREMELY noisy and did not keep room at comfortable temp. Continued to go off/on and room was either too cool or too warm. Fan was VERY noisy. We did not sleep well at all. Would not stay again unless only hotel available.

The owners of this new LaQuinta Inn & Suites, Rockport/Fulton incorporated many upscale amenities to enhance every guest's experience while staying with us, including a full scale maintenance program to keep us in tip-top shape.
It is not typical for the a/c units to be noisy or slow to respond and I am very sorry this was an issue for you during your stay.
We want all of our guests to make us aware of any problems they may have while in-house so we may quickly resolve it, resulting in the most pleasurable stay away from home ever. We hope you will visit our lovely new site again.
The Rockport hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are very nice and located less than 4 mins from the water, the pool is amazing and has a water feature for the kids to enjoy, only issue that I experienced was rude staff that complained about asking for extra bathroom towels, other than that it was a pleasant experience

We love that so many guests are reporting back to us how much they enjoy our "Spa pool" area with the extra water features and cozy cabana areas. Our owners worked very hard on designing the perfect outdoor area for business and pleasure travelers alike.
Our owners also want every guest to feel comfortable and welcome in a sparkling clean and fresh room. To keep our beautiful new facility pristine, our housekeeping department has very in-depth protocols and each staff member is responsible for specific room's cleanliness. When a guest asks a housekeeper in the hall for more towels, she may quickly send the responsible housekeeper to the room with the towels. We've gotten much guest feedback this is the perfect opportunity for housekeepers to check best time for the room to be "refreshed" or cleaned to best fit the guest's convenience. We are happy to supply clean towels to our guests at any time, and I am sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

Pool is pretty cool for a la Quinta the staff was friendly and funny the room was nice and price was good the only thing I would work on is the breakfast and coffee other than that very pleased with the whole stay

For the most part we had a great stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was nice and the breakfast was plentiful. We did not have time to swim so we never even saw the pool.
Be aware this is a "pet friendly" hotel. We ended up next door to a room on the 3rd floor that had two dogs that had been left alone. Every move we made in our room caused them to bark. On our way to dinner I mentioned this to the front desk and she said she would call the room and if she didn't get an answer she would call the customers cell phone. Pet policy etc etc. When we came back two hours later there were still two barking dogs with no one trying to calm them. I went back to the desk to let them know this was not ok. It is now 9pm and still the barking. We had been gone two hours and all the clerk had done was call the room over and over. She had not gone to the room or called the customers cell phone. So basically she had done nothing. Soon after that we heard two people come in and yell at the dogs to be quite. Which just confirms the fact the dogs had been left unattended in the room. I was told dogs were not supposed to be put on the 3rd floor but that rule was not followed this weekend.
I'm not 100% sure that we will give this hotel another chance. It was very pricey with no real "added value". We will probably give another hotel a try on our next trip to Rockport.

LaQuinta Inn & Suites allowing pets is a Brand Standard. There is no additional "stay fee" for pets, but we do require guests with pets to read and sign our pet policy. Most people who love their pets and include them in their travels are very responsible in respecting how other hotel guests could be affected by their four legged family members. Fortunately, there have only been few rare instances where a guest's dog was left in the room alone and did bark.
Once we are aware there is a dog barking, we follow a specific protocol to remedy the situation quickly and we offer to move the guest who is being disturbed, as we did in your case.
I am very sorry another guest's convenience affected your stay, we work hard to make everyone's visit to our lovely facility in such a charming coastal town a wonderful experience.

This hotel is so pretty and clean. Rita at front desk is the best customer service person we have encountered in years.
Two waffle machines but they are busy !!
Pool area is incredible. As most hotels now, it can be noisy, especially when kids are running up and down halls. We loved the location too. Almost as good as on the beach.
