I'm a pretty easy-to-please person, but this place repeatedly disappointed me. When we walked in and asked for a table for 2, it took the host several minutes of contemplation (plus conferring with another hostess) to figure out where to seat us. The restaurant was maybe 25% full, so I don't know what was so hard. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the fried avocado appetizer. It was supposed to be an avocado filled with seafood and deep fried. "Seafood" is an exaggeration, as there were a few small bits of shrimp and maybe calamari, but they were hard to find amongst what seemed like an entire block of cheese. We only ate about half of it because it was so salty and cheesy. They should just call it a deep-fried cheeseball. We ordered 5 different sushi rolls. I think we managed to find the only 5 that DIDN'T have jalepeno in them. If you're looking for authentic japanese sushi, this is not your place. I have an extremely low tolerance for spiciness and I was getting frustrated trying to find something I could eat. If it didn't have jalapenos in it, it had spicy cucumbers,or a spicy sauce. I know it's Texas, but if I want spice, I'll eat Mexican food. The only thing this restaurant got right was the presentation (at least the food LOOKED good) and the dessert. We got the chocolate brownie/cake thing and it was delicious. Truly scrumptious. But then I was disappointed again to receive the $100 bill. Overpriced and disappointing meal.
