There aren't nearly enough reviews of this property. My husband and I have only been here one night (of three) and already we want to give it 5 stars! We stayed in the red barn; which is charming and cute as a button. Debbie has the studio room very well appointed and you can tell a lot of thought went into providing anything a guest could possibly need. We loved the luxury of the king sized bed and all the pillows. If you like a soft bed and fluffy pillows, you'll be in heaven. We're not big TV watchers, so as long as we have internet (which there is) we're as happy as clams. Her property is conveniently located at the south end of the 'strip', so for those of you active enough, you can leave the car behind to explore to your hearts content! She also provides some really yummy breakfast options to get your day started right! We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: The red barn requires climbing a set to stairs to reach the room, so if you have mobility issues, or...

For our fifth annual road trip, a total of 4 of us set out to Salado and the Red Barn Hideaway. We all completely agree that this was by far our favorite and best B&B of the 6 we've stayed in together!

Debbie is a warm and welcoming hostess. She saw us immediately upon arrival and walked over to chat and introduce herself. She gave us several suggestions for food options in the area and told us her favorites. Then, she offered us a tour of the other cottage and the loft. Red Barn Hideaway is absolutely beautiful and so tastefully decorated. You can't go wrong in any one of her accommodations. An added bonus was seeing the deer and fox families right outside the windows each morning as we sat on the couch chatting away.

Debbie comes in after you leave each day to straighten up the cottage and leave the next morning's breakfast in the fridge, complete with heating instructions. The breakfast is good and it's a nice option to be able to enjoy it when you are ready for it, in your own space. The kitchen area is more than adequate for bringing along your own food and cooking your own lunch/dinner.

Debbie truly thinks of everything and is incredibly thorough, yet she is completely unintrusive. She manages to find a very welcome and very perfect balance as a B&B hostess. I believe we will all be back, in some way, in the future!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this review because this place deserves some major recognition. After searching for weeks and weeks for the PERFECT place for my sisters and I to take our mom for a surprise birthday weekend I finally stumbled across this hidden gem. The house we stayed in was one of three options on the property and in walking distance to some neat attractions Salado has to offer. Let me start off by saying this place is well above and beyond any B&B I loomed at and I love the fact that you have a house all to yourself. The breakfast was delicious and the owner was so welcoming, she even gave us a tour of the other house. The price was way better than anywhere else i could find and in my opinion you get so much more than what others were offering. We had the entire weekend planned and was very happy to see we could walk to most all of our activities like the play at the local theatre and our favorite, the glass blowing studio that is one street behind the house. We booked a private glass blowing class and got to keep what we made to remember the trip by. You could also walk to the local shops and antique stores near by. I am looking for any excuse to plan another visit in the near future. All in all, this was the perfect weekend that we will never forget thanks to the Red Barn Hideaway!!!!!!

From the minute we arrived at Red Barn Hideaway, Debbie made us feel so welcome! She came outside and greeted us and was so friendly. There was nothing that she had not thought of when furnishing the barn. And the breakfast.....oh the breakfast was just one of our very favorite things about the wonderful weekend we had at the Red Barn Hideaway!!
