My wife and I stayed for one night on our way to Round Top Texas. We fell in love with the quaint Texas decor and attention to detail. Debbie has thought of everything to make this a memorable moment in time.

We also enjoyed watching the deer grazing on the creek side. Amazing!

Everything you could possibly expect, want or need in a peaceful fun-filled retreat. The Innkeeper is a delight and so very helpful in suggesting places to shop! The cottages are immaculate and furnished with such personality and flair! Would recommend the Red Barn Hideaway Cottages for any occasion! We were a group of ladies renting both A & B cottages and there was nothing that we could have possibly needed that was not furnished. Absolutely the best I have ever visited!

Seven girl friends stayed in the two houses for a couple of nights. We were very warmly received by Debbie. The homes are charming, immaculate, and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Debbie thinks of every detail! I love this place the plan to go back.

I plan to stay here any time I visit Salado. We had a group of 7 ladies, 4 in one cottage and 3 in the other. This B&B was perfect....secluded yet convenient to shopping and restaurants. Each cottage was beautifully furnished and had everything that you could want. Debbie is a super hostess, so friendly and accommodating, and she is a super cook, providing us with an awesome breakfast each morning. She is soooo organized and thoughtful. The cottages are equipped with everything you could possibly wan,t even items I would never thought of like flashlights on the bedside tables, a first aid kit.......Debbie made our visit just perfect with all the special touches.

Room Tip: I couldn't choose between the cottages, both are perfect. I would prefer either more than the r...

What a wonderful place to spend my mothers 70th birthday. Cottage B was immaculate, the food was wonderful. So many special touches, the table set, fluffy white towels, a bowl of chocolates .We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Debbie does a fabulous of making you feel welcome and very comfortable.

There aren't nearly enough reviews of this property. My husband and I have only been here one night (of three) and already we want to give it 5 stars! We stayed in the red barn; which is charming and cute as a button. Debbie has the studio room very well appointed and you can tell a lot of thought went into providing anything a guest could possibly need. We loved the luxury of the king sized bed and all the pillows. If you like a soft bed and fluffy pillows, you'll be in heaven. We're not big TV watchers, so as long as we have internet (which there is) we're as happy as clams. Her property is conveniently located at the south end of the 'strip', so for those of you active enough, you can leave the car behind to explore to your hearts content! She also provides some really yummy breakfast options to get your day started right! We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: The red barn requires climbing a set to stairs to reach the room, so if you have mobility issues, or...

For our fifth annual road trip, a total of 4 of us set out to Salado and the Red Barn Hideaway. We all completely agree that this was by far our favorite and best B&B of the 6 we've stayed in together!

Debbie is a warm and welcoming hostess. She saw us immediately upon arrival and walked over to chat and introduce herself. She gave us several suggestions for food options in the area and told us her favorites. Then, she offered us a tour of the other cottage and the loft. Red Barn Hideaway is absolutely beautiful and so tastefully decorated. You can't go wrong in any one of her accommodations. An added bonus was seeing the deer and fox families right outside the windows each morning as we sat on the couch chatting away.

Debbie comes in after you leave each day to straighten up the cottage and leave the next morning's breakfast in the fridge, complete with heating instructions. The breakfast is good and it's a nice option to be able to enjoy it when you are ready for it, in your own space. The kitchen area is more than adequate for bringing along your own food and cooking your own lunch/dinner.

Debbie truly thinks of everything and is incredibly thorough, yet she is completely unintrusive. She manages to find a very welcome and very perfect balance as a B&B hostess. I believe we will all be back, in some way, in the future!
