Rod and Denise can check this beautiful creation off their bucket list! They blind folded her and had her put her finger on the map. It landed on San Angelo TX. This beautiful landmark in downtown area is loaded with surprises. Very unique decor with many different at pieces of various blues singers. Three rooms in the Blues Inn adjacent to their amazing restaurant Sealy Flats diner. The rooms sleep 2 in a queen bed. They have a larger room called "Howling Wolf" that has a sofa sleeper and an enclosed patio over looking The Blues yard where their if live blues band several nights per week! This place is a unique experience you won't want to miss. You feel like you have just stepped onto the streets of New Orleans. Great shopping all within walking distance too!

We stayed in the T Bone Walker room, which ended up being on the very front of the building. While it was very charming (and comfortable and clean), it was SO LOUD at night. The room flanks the courtyard (where live music is played) on one side and the front porch (where people hang out) on the other. The building is old and the walls are thin. It felt like I was back in college with a house party next door (but the music was better, for sure!). We were there for a Friday and Saturday night, so I'm not sure if the music is during the week as well.
If you're going to be out at the diner late night listening to music, you'd love to stay here. If you're in town visiting and just want to sleep before 1am, pick somewhere else.

I stayed here for two nights...wish it could have been longer. This is a small place with only 3 rooms, but it's wonderful. I had the Sonny Boy Williamson room, which has a big closet, sitting area, huge bathroom with thick, fluffy towels and a big corner bathtub with shower, GREAT air conditioning (it got pretty hot outside during the day), and microwave and small fridge. The owners are friendly and attentive, and there's also a sweet cat named Ellie. :)

My friends occupied the other two rooms during my stay, so I saw them as well, and they are equally awesome. The largest room is actually a multi-room suite with full kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom, and sunroom that overlooks the courtyard/stage area.

The staff reserved a courtyard table for us on our first night so we could better enjoy the great blues music. I didn't have any drinks, but the appetizers are excellent (a diner is also part of the property). The queso and salsa were awesome, as well as the fried zucchini and poblano. I had breakfast in the courtyard the next morning; it was delicious.

On both nights, my friends and I relaxed in the chairs on the spacious front porch (I loved the rockers). The days may have been hot, but the nights were cool and breezy. I could have sat there forever!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Blues Inn, and highly recommend it. Yes, it's pricey, but completely worth it!

Room Tip: The tub in the bathroom in the room I stayed in had a hand-held shower; if you need a regular shower, try one of the other rooms.
